Emma was stunned for a few seconds when she heard his cold voice. She asked him curiously, "Did you call me just now?"

The man on the other end of the line immediately asked angrily, "why did you buy your phone if you don't answer calls?" Emma blinked. Wasn't it just that she didn't answer his calls? Why was he so angry?

"I'm sorry! I must have been busy and didn't hear my phone ring. I think I must have accidentally muted it last night. Is there anything urgent?" Emma had no choice but to apologize to him.

"Pick up the kids with me in the afternoon."

"Won't you just pick them up on your way home from work?" Emma felt that it would just take him about ten minutes, so she didn't have to make the trip there.
