Chapter 11: Misunderstanding

"Mommy is resting upstairs," Ella answered quickly.

Liam stroked Ella's head and said softly, "Can you go and find Mommy first? Daddy will talk to Grandpa and Grandma for a while."

"Okay." Ella nodded, and Liam put her on the ground. The two pups turned around and ran to the hall.

Watching them go in, Liam cast a glance at the window. At that moment, Emma was peeping at them. When she saw him looking at her, she was so flustered that she quickly closed the curtains.

Liam frowned and said to his parents, "Dad, Mom, now you should know why I canceled the engagement ceremony!"

"How could you tell that they were yours at a glance? Did you do a DNA test?" Aria asked curiously. It had only been a few hours since Liam saw the two pups. He should not have had time to confirm it yet!

"Not yet. But I'm sure they are my pups."

"How could you be sure?" Mateo asked in a deep voice.
