I settled into a comfortable position, ready to savor the sandwich Liam had prepared for me when an unpleasant odor invaded my senses. The door separating the kitchen from the backyard swung open, revealing a new presence, a woman who, for lack of a better term, could be described as a... well, let's stick with "unpleasant person."
Now, I'm not one to judge solely based on appearances, so I did what any sensible person would do—I relied on my enhanced sense of smell. Since becoming pregnant, my senses had gone into overdrive, making the mundane task of sniffing out someone's character oddly fascinating.
