CHAPTER EIGHT

Angel's POV

Last night' sleepover was a blast, the best sleepover I have ever had in my life but the morning after is always the worst cause we slept really late, I think we sleep in the early hours of the day and the cherry on top is that my phone's alarm woke me up abruptly which is rude by the way.

I opened my eyes and looked around and saw Andy still asleep, I grabbed my phone and shut up the alarm, then I looked at the time and saw that it was 6:02am in the morning on a school day to make matters worse, damn I love weekends. I saw 32 missed calls from Jace, 19 from Aiden and 12 from Mason, song with multiple voicemails, about 50 voicemails I think, well that's a lot. I can feel the love. I deleted everything without listening to them because it was a lot. I got up from our makeshift bed and woke Andy up from her peaceful slumber.

"Get up Andy, we have school today" I said shaking her awake.

"Whatttttt" she said turning over to look at me with her hair all over her face.

"We have school" I said smiling at her exhaustingly.

"It's morning already??" She said sitting up and stretching.

"Yes it is. Am going to shower. You can use one of the guest room showers" I said walking up the stairs. I saw Andy grabbing her phone and scrolling through.

"Geez, so many missed calls" She said tiredly.

" I know, I got about 50 voicemails and multiple phone calls". I said pausing on the stairs.

"Oh shit, I don't have anything to wear today" she said trailing behind me sluggishly while running her hand through her hair.

"You can take some of mine. We are about the same size" I said opening my room door and going in just as Andy entered the guest room close to my room. I went to the bathroom, brushed my teeth and showered thoroughly, I decided not the wash my hair today cause I washed it yesterday. When I was done showering, I grabbed a towel, dried down and wore a robe.

I walked out of the bathroom and saw Andy sitting on my bed waiting for me.

"That was quick" I said gesturing for her to follow me into my walk-in-closet.

"Yeah, need enough time for breakfast. Am starving" she said walking into the closet with me.

"Help yourself. And we will have to stop by the breakfast dinner for some coffee cause I have none at home and I need to wake up so bad" I said as Andy and I sat in the sofa in my closet and applied some moisturizer on our bodies. When we were done, we went on the apply some make up, fixed our hair and got dressed.

When we were done with that, we went downstairs to kitchen to have breakfast. Because we were getting late we decided to have cereal instead, cause cooking will take so much time, time we didn't have. We took out two bowls from the cupboard, grabbed some cereal and milk, then we poured them in our bowls, grabbed spoons and started eating.

"Are you riding with me or are you taking your car" I asked Andy when I was almost done eating.

   "I will tag along with you. Am too tired to drive. Damn, I need some coffee in my system" she said grabbing two glasses and pouring us some water and setting it beside us.

  "Okay" I said drinking the remaining milk in my bowl. When I was done, I grabbed my bowl, went to the sink, washed my brown and spoon, dried it and kept them. I grabbed my glass of water and downed it as Andy was washing her bowl, spoon and cup. When I was done with the water, I dropped my cup in the sink and went to one o the drawers and grabbed a random key. Andy and I grabbed our bags, phone and accessories, and went to the garage. We look for the car I picked and it turned out to be a Mercedes Benz-AMG-G 63 Brabus 700 Rocket, long name yeah. But I know my cars and this is one my favorites.

We got in and drove to out of the garage and out of my compound. On our way, we stopped by the cafe and got some much needed coffee cause we were half awake and we needed to wake up.

After we got our coffee to go, we got into the car and drove off to school. I had to drive fast(which was fun) cause we getting late. When we got to school, on time by the way, I parked in the spot reserved for me, next to Jace's SUV. We got out of the car, and grabbed our bags, phones and coffee. Andy immediately without waiting for ran to the boys who were standing next to their ride, while I stood next to my car and was on my phone going through my IG.

"Hey baby" Andy said hugging Mason and the two share a kiss. They must have missed each other, I think this is the longest they have been away from each other. I felt Jason walk towards me but I decided to ignore him because I was still pissed at him about yesterday's incident. He should learn to defend me first.

     "Hey babe. I was worried about you" Jason said trying to wrap his arm around but I stopped him, placed my hand on his chest and pushed him away.

     "Don't touch me" I said stepping away from him. This action caught the attention of Andy, Aiden and Mason and shocked Jason.

      "Angel, what are you doing" He asked confused but thankful he kept his hand to himself. I felt my Alina(my wolf) reach out for him buy I quickly pushed her back and kept her on a leash cause no mate bond will mess my head up.

       "Nothing. I just don't like you touching me. It's irritating" I said wanting to hurt like he hurt me yesterday. He flinched which satisfied me.

      "You don't mean that" He said taking a step towards me and I quickly stepped back.

     "Don't come close to me or you will regret it. Why don't you leave me alone and go be with you bimbo" I said harshly.

    "Is that what this is about?" He asked in realization.

    "Yeah. Am pissed. You defended her"I said glaring at him.

     "You were beating her up. You would have killed her if I hadn't pulled you you off" He said running his hand through his hair.

     "Pulled me off,  pulled me off?? You threw me across the room, not caring where I landed, nor caring if I was going to break anything. You threw me off her, to protect your side chick" I said angrily.

    "She is not my side chick. I have never cheated you" He said just as the warning bell went off.

   "Whatever" I said walking towards the school building with the others trailing behind while Jason was trying talking me. I just ignored him and connected my AirPods to my phone and blasted 'Happier than ever by Billie Eilish' one of my favorites songs right now.

   Just as I was getting settled in my seat for today's lesson. I heard a ding from my phone, I grabbed it, turned it on and saw a message from my Mom, saying;

     'Come to New York stat'

  That's all it said, which was off. It must be an emergency then. I had to get to New York as soon as possible. The teacher Mr.Snow walked into class and shut the door and was getting ready to start his class. I quickly sent a message to my pilot to get the jet ready for tomorrow. I was leaving for New York tomorrow.  I kept my phone in my bag and tried to focus but my mind going back to my Mom's message, it had me worried.

      Lunchtime...............

       Andy and I were on our way to the cafeteria, it was time for lunch. Andy said the boys were out to get pizza for us. Sara and friends were not around due to obvious reasons. When Andy and I got to the cafeteria, we went to our table and got comfortable while waiting for the boys, going through our phones.

    Suddenly, I heard a thud which shocked Andy and I, we quickly looked up to see who disturbed us and saw the boys instead. They took their seats, with Jason sitting beside me but I ignored him. I grabbed a box of pizza, making sure it was pepperoni pizza before digging in, along with the others.

  "My dad is handing over power to me this weekend" Jason said breaking the silence at the table.

   "Congratulations" We said.

   "But why weren't we informed" Aiden said with a raised brow

   "He is announcing it tonight via mindlink" he said sipping his drink.

   "Am leaving for New York tomorrow" I announced abruptly shocking everyone at the table.

   "What" the boys asked.

   "Why" Andy asked shocked

   "My mom has requested my presence in NYC" I said running my fingers through my hair.

"But you need to be there for my ascension as Alpha. You are my mate and you need to be there" Jace said harshly

"Well, I'm sorry but I can't be there. I have to be in New York" I said half heartedly cause deep inside, I was happy that I won't be at the coronation, I wasn't ready to be introduced as Luna and he doesn't know that.

"You are not leaving. Period" he ordered

"You can't tell me what to do. Am leaving tomorrow. Period" I said ending the conversation, I grabbed my things, got up from the table cause at this point I had already lost my appetite. I made my way out of the cafeteria with Andy in tow.

"Angel. Wait" Andy said making me stop and I looked at her.

"Talk to me" she said frowning slightly.

"Bathroom" I said and we made to the girl's bathroom.

When we got to the bathroom, we made sure there was no one in the stalls and I locked the doors.

"Why do you need to go to New York urgently" she asked calmly

"You remember when Ryker hit a pack sometime ago" I asked

"Yes I do. He wiped out the entire pack. Sad though" she said sadly

"Yeah, well. Whenever Ryker strikes my Mom usually goes to check out the damage to device means to keep me safe. So my Mom went to check out the damages in the attack. Whatever she found was so important that she asked me to come to New York stat. I received her message this morning before first period" I explained resting on the sink.

"Ohh. That doesn't sound good. I just hope everything is okay. What about Jason's coronation then. You are supposed to be crowned Luna as well" She said

"Well to be honest with you, I don't want to be crowned yet nor do I want to be marked yet" I said truthfully.

"But why" she asked confused.

"I don't want Jason to be in danger. If Ryker finds me tomorrow. There is going to be a war, people will die and it will be my fault. I might die and I don't want Jason's heart to be ripped apart when things go sideways. I want the pack safe and I want Jason safe. I will do anything to protect this pack and the people I love but if I let Jason mark me now, he won't be able to hear the pain when I make drastic decisions" I said hoping she would understand.

"Because marking each other would meaning joining your souls together as one and you might....."Andy said realization.

   "I would never let him have what he wants" I said determined.

  "Okay. I understand. What time are you leaving anyway". She said as she was getting into one of the stalls to do her business.

   "In the morning. Maybe 10am." I said walking into another stall to do my business. When we were done, we went to the sink and washed our hands. I grabbed two paper towels, handed one to Andy and we dried our hands. When we were through, we grabbed our bags and phones and walked out of the bathroom and went to class, which we were slightly late for. 

    After the last bell, Andy and I walked out of the school building and towards my car. Andy was riding with me cause I was dropping Andy off at the packhouse. We got into the car and I drove off, not having any communication with Jace cause he is still trying to stop me from leaving.

  I quickly dropped Andy off at the pack house and drove home because I had to pack for tomorrow. When I got home, I packed my car in my garage and walked into my house.

"Alexa" I called out

"Yes Angel" she answered. Just so you know she's an AI.

"Play me my Spotify playlist 'Bella'. Highest volume please"I said. I just love loud music.

  Loud music soon filled the hair. One of my favorite songs was playing right now "Come&Go by ArrDee". The song has been stuck in my head for days now. I even hum it while taking a shower. I walked up stairs to my room to start packing for New York.

When I got into my room, I walked into my closet, went to the back and grabbed my Louis Vuitton traveling bags and walked out to my room and placed them on my bed. I went back to my closet and started selecting clothes I would need not that I need much seeing as I have some clothes at my Mom's. I folded my clothes and put them in the bag while jamming to some songs. I grabbed my shoes and put them in the other bag as well.   I packed up some underwear as well and put them in the bags with the clothes. I placed my necessities in the bag as well. When I was done packing, I was exhausted. I laid on my bed thinking about my life when I heard my phone ring. I quickly grabbed it and saw that it was Jason calling. I picked the phone and placed put it to my ear

  (Phone conversation)

  "Hello baby girl" he said in a low voice

  "Hi Jason" I said biting my lower lip

  "So it's Jason now. Not Jace" he said

  "Well, I'm still mad at you" I said pissed

   "Why are you the one mad at me when I'm the one that is supposed to be mad. Knowing that my mate won't be around for our coronation is fucked up" he said harshly

  "Having your mate fling you across the hall not caring at all is 'fucked up" I said getting angry.

  "So you are doing this to punish me for that right?  I was protecting a pack member you almost beat to death" he said raising his voice which made me pissed.  How dare he raise his voice at me.

  "She started the fight. She had it coming. She has been threatening me since I met you" I screamed into the phone.

   "I didn't know." He said speechless

  "Of course, you didn't. You just judged on the spot and threw me across the hall. Would have killed you to be gentle?" I asked pissed. 

  "Am sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you but please don't go to New York. I want to introduce you to the pack as my Luna" he said breaking Alina's (my wolf) resolve. That little bitch was going to give in soon. I quickly pushed her to the back and brought Elina (my angel) forward cause I knew she was not going to break like Alina was about to.

"I have to go. I wasn't doing it to punish you. My mom needs me and even if I was going to be introduced as Luna, my mom will have to be there and she is not around" I explained.

  "You are not leaving. Period. I will see you tomorrow" he said in a decisive tone.

  "Alright. Goodnight" I said yawning. Am so tired.

  "Goodnight my love" he said hanging up the phone. I placed my phone on my bedside table. I quickly texted my pilot changing takeoff time to a 8am because I know Jason will try and stop and I didn't want him getting in the way. I got up from my bed and went to the bathroom athroom to have a shower.

When I was done with my shower, I quickly did my night skincare routine, I brushed my hair and braided them, then I got dressed in my pjs.

When I was done, I got into bed and dozed off into a dreamless sleep.

             Morning....

      I woke up in the morning feeling refreshed. I quickly looked at the time and saw it was 6:25am. I got up, made my bed and went to the bathroom took a shower and brushed my teeth. When I was done, I went on to do my morning skincare routine, curled my hair and got dressed.

When I was done, I quickly shoved my laptop, iPad, AirPods, iPod and my other stuff into my bag. I grabbed my bags and went downstairs stairs. I placed my bags next to the front door because I didn't feel like driving today. I quickly booked an Uber which will be here in fifteen minutes. I made sure to lock all the door and windows, turned off all the lights and electronics, and cleaned up a bit. By the time, I was done, I had the Uber honk outside. I grabbed my things and went out the front door and locked it. I walked out of my compound and the driver helped put my things in the trunk. I quickly grabbed my phone and turned on my property security system before getting into the Uber and was off to the Airport.

  When I got to the Airport, I got out of the car, grabbed my stuff and went towards my private jet. When I got there, I saw Terry my pilot waiting for me beside a flight stewardess.

"Good morning Angel" Terry greeted smiling at me

  "Good morning Uncle Terry" I greeted hugging him. Did I mention that Terry is friends with my Mom?? Well he is. And he is human but he knows about werewolves.

  "Good morning Miss. My name Lana" the stewardess who we now know as Lana greeted.

   "Good morning Lana. Am Angel"I replied politely. She carried my bags and went into the plane.

   "Are you ready to go" Terry asked

   "Yes I am. Let's get out of here.  I need to leave ASAP" I said getting on the plane. I got to my seat by the window and strapped on my seatbelt. I heard Uncle Terry from the intercom announcing takeoff plans and he put the plane in motion and soon the plane was in the air on its way to NYC. I took a deep breath and relaxed in my seat. Then I saw Lana approaching.

  "Would you like anything" Lana asked when she got to me.

  "Yes I would like some breakfast" I replied politely.

"Alright ma'am" she said walking away to get it.

Few minutes later........

" Here you go" Lana said placing the food and juice on the table in front of me.

"Thank you" I said with a smile.

After I finished my breakfast, I had some wine and went to the room at the back for a nap.

2 hours later

NEW YORK

After the two hours flight from Atlanta to NYC, we had finally landed. I quickly got down from the plane and saw that my bags were being loaded in the trunk by my driver. I bid Uncle Terry goodbye and got into my car and we were off to my mother's house.

On my way home, I texted Andy to let her know that I had landed in New York already and she replied saying that Jace was having a fit about me disobeying him which made me laugh. When I was done chatting with Andy, I called me mom to let her know that I was New York and on my way home.

After a few minutes, I was finally home. Nothing has changed since I was last here. I have to say, I miss being in New York.

After my driver parked the car, I got out and went towards the front door while my driver got my bags from the trunk of the car. The front flung open and my Mom ran out, straight into my arms, pulling me into a tight hug which made me laugh.

"Oh my baby, I missed you so much" My Mom said with so much emotion in her voice.

"I missed you too Mama bear" I said shoving my face into her neck and sniffing her. I missed her so much.

"How are you? Are you eating well? Why do you look thin? You are not eating well are you? I knew I should gotten you a maid but you stubborn child refused to have a maid help you with the house" she rambled which made me smile lovingly at my Mum.

" Calm down Mum. I have been eating well". I said pulling her inside the house to the living room and sat both of us down.

"Why did you send for so urgently. What's going on?" I asked curiously and anxiously because I was scared of the answer I might get. I was scared that I may not have enough time left. I was scared of many things honestly. Many scenarios ran through my head, leaving me even more anxious.

    My Mom sighed, taking a deep and ran her hand through her hair. She got comfortable on the couch and folded her hands, looking at me with a serious expression.

    "So, you remember, how I went to scout the pack that was attacked by Ryker recently?" She asked

   "Yes I do. Of course I remember. What happened?" I asked resting my back on the couch.

    "Well, I found something, well, someone" she said  a bit nervous.

   "Who did you find" I asked honestly curious.

   "Mama Rose, where is flour" I heard a voice come from the kitchen as a young girl about my age walk into the living room. She was beautiful I would say, she has brunette curly hair and curves to die for. Who is she?

   "Surprise" my Mom said nervously, smiling slightly.

   What the hell is going on here. I looked at both of them suspiciously. Especially, my Mom cause I needed an explanation Who the hell is she?

  "Who are you" I asked curiously because I have never seen her before.
