I already have a flow of credits on the way, though. Aegis will be paying me lots, and while I feel like I got away with a lot more than they did. I fixed their superweapon for them, so they can't really complain. "Durado, can I ask you something?" He looks at he and squints his eyes slightly.

I ignore the system message as I focus on what he said. He never specifically said that I could ask him a question, but the reputation boost is a positive indicator. "Are you going to take me as your apprentice after this mission? Or are we done working together once we save Empyrian?" I don't want to beat around the bush any longer.

I want to know if Durado is going to mentor me or not. I won't have another opportunity to have a mentor like Durado. Legendary mentors are one of a kind. People that are at the apex of their fields. Durado is the best bounty hunter in The Aeternus Universe. If I can get him as my mentor, I'll get many more traits that aren't just mental gifts.

He has many offensive traits that I can learn from him. "We'll see after we are done with this bounty and if you impress me more than you already have. Then I'll take you on as my apprentice. So you better be on your A-game." I nod my head now that I have confirmation that there's a good chance he'll take me as his apprentice. Three loud beeps ring throughout the train car. I look out the window to see Newton-2 fast approaching.

The city has thick smog around it, and there are no ships flying around since there isn't a spaceport. The tall futuristic skyscrapers are covered in dirt that's being kicked up by the mining operations.
