Nothingness in Renaissance.

"Azule Vulta, 13 years of age using human logic. Male and resided on Earth; a mundane yet entertaining world."

I awoke to the voices of what seemed like multiple people speaking at the same time. Almost ethereal in nature. My eyes flutter open with resistance, as if waking for the first time upon sleeping for a millennium. As my eyes graced the world of their brilliance, I was met with nothingness. It was as if I never opened my eyes at all. 'Did I become blind- Am I fated to be in darkness forever?' These questions plagued my mind as I felt myself, hoping to find some solace in my predicament. Fortunately, I still had my body. Which was peculiar considering I couldn't feel anything. This contradiction between feeling and not feeling, knowing and not knowing made me panic. Panic? How could I panic when I can't feel anything, yet, it feels as if I can. All of these chaos ensuing thoughts began to stir and mix with my emotions of which I didn't even know I had. All of these questions with no answers fester within me as I question and question and question, wondering if I am real; what is real?

As my very core swells in decadence, a petite light blisters in the distance, growing larger by the second. Before I can even imagine it, white surrounds me into blindness, making me wish for darkness again. The illumination died down to small, glittering flickers, like stars in the night sky. Night sky? The sensation of sight didn't hit me initially as I was enthralled by the scene, but as I gained reason, bliss entered my consciousness. The idea of knowledge; the fact that I know something to be brings me comfort. The idea of knowing my physical state as I stare at my fledgling hands when I reach for the stars. The idea of emotions as a surreal burst of excitement overflows inside me. Bliss is all I feel as common sense- common knowledge makes it back to me like a lost little brother.

As sensations and emotions restored themselves, A wet feeling hugged me from behind. Looking at my arms, droplets of water rundown my skin back to my shoulders. Curious, I sat up. Much to my suprise, not only was my surroundings filled in a small layer of water, I was in my birthday suit. Not caring much, I stood up from my sitting position, watching the water beneath me ripple as it embraced the form of which my feet take. Taking in the sight, the water all around acts like a mirror as it reflects the night sky. It was a beautiful sight to see. Taking that into account, I look down to see myself. Ignoring the little visitor, I saw a young boy, skinny but not a skeleton as the image suggests. Smooth, glossy black hair with pure red highlights, most of which congregate at the sides and at the fringe of my hair. My eyes are heterochromia in nature: my right eye being turquoise and my left being blood red. My face was that of a typical pretty boy, I'd dare say borderline feminine. In short, I was comparable to a shota in the Japanese media. Japanese… Shota? How do I- ARGh!

I grip my hair and fall to a fetus position as my head churns in agony. Images flashes in my mind before me, ranging from numbers and words to sprawling towers and large mobile boxes used as transportations. Time passes; seconds turn to minutes and minutes turn to hours. Time was lost on me as I watched from someone's perspective, MY perspective. From birth to death, I watched as I revisited what some would consider MY life. The pain slowly subsided the more memories I absorbed, halting the twitching and turning this writhing misery that my past brought along. Then nothing… I lay there, looking back at the skies, resting from the discomfort I just experienced. It was then that I noticed the stars conforming, moving from their original location. Their convergence unveiled a humanoid body, created by the stars and the void. Oddly enough, it took the form of a female body evident in its curvaceous form. It's hands on its hips, it leans forward, round lumps to what I assume holding galaxies because of all the stars gathering, dangled as it scrutinizes me.

"Hello wondering soul, or should I call you Azule?" That same mixture of voices greets me as it looms over.

Warry, I stumble to get up. Looking up towards it, I swallowed my fear and asked it the first thing that came to mind, "Where are we?"

"Scuse me- where are my manners," it disappeared and reappeared right before me, only it shrunk down to normal human size; close to that of an adult woman, "We are in the Lands Between, the realm of chance and new beginnings. And you are the lucky one this time."

All of that was said as it slowly, yet, elegantly walked towards me, only to stop three ft. from me. By the wave of its hand, it conjures a throne of galaxies behind itself. It sat down, leaning towards one end of the arm rest and kicking up its legs to the other.

"I'd like to answer your many questions but frankly, we don't have the time to spare."

"I-Hmm," I calmed my nerves.

In truth, I was frustrated. Taking in my memories, I see how obtuse the situation is right now. I was living my life as Azule Vulta on Earth. It was peaceful, entertaining, but sadly short. I had friends and family back there… What happens to them now? Will they mourn my death, will they miss me, what new anime could have I watched, could have I started a family if I had just stayed home? I'm once again stricken with a plethora of questions with no hope of subduing them. Having said that, I remember my father saying, "Sometimes, when you're met with overwhelming pressure, it's best to close your mind and just wing it. How do you think I nailed your mother?" Ignoring that last part, I know that his statement- his advice has holes to it. But when you're face to what I'd assume is a literal god, what can you do besides say 'Fuck it, we ball.'

"What now?" I asked, sitting down with my legs crossed.

"'What now?' the little thing asked. Well I'll rip the band-aid: as you know you have died by vehicular rammage. But in truth, it was done by the infamous Truck-kun. I'd like to say that it was an accident but know it wasn't."

I squint my eyes in suspicion and anticipation.

"You were killed on a whim."

My thoughts were halted still as silence entered the atmosphere. My breathing was equal to that of a nuclear explosion in comparison to how quiet it is. Then, FURY,

"YOU'RE TELLING ME, MY HUMBLE, PEACEFUL LIFE WAS TAKEN BY SOME LARDASS ROUNDHEAD THAT DECIDED TO RUIN A LIFE JUST OUT OF SPITE!" I couldn't hold it in any longer. I would've accepted if it was an accident- hell even if someone targeted me because of some reason like if I threatened them in some way. But if what this being's statement is true, then my life is truly wasted by some wannabe young master. I didn't even have a jade beauty like, WHAT THE HELL!

"Now that you know your situation a little better, I'm here to do my job: Reincarnation."

"Haah… haa, I'm all ears."

"Good, first things first: You're going to be reincarnated in a alternative reality of Pacific Rim and secondly, You'll gain three requests for your power."

I nod in understanding, "Three? A little cliche and boring don't you think?"

It laughs in a luscious manner, "You can do a lot with three, much less one wish. Now what will it be?"

I took some time to think given the setting of which I will be in.

"I have my request, but before I state my intentions, I have some questions regarding said wishes."

"Shoot," It said as it waved its hand at me.

"Ok: First off, can I ask for multiple possessions and effects in just one request?"

"Yes," It replied, "though they have to be together or related in some way. You can't ask for a firearm and a tank. If you did, that would equal two wishes used. If you instead ask for a firearm and ammunition for said firearm or weapons training, then it would equal to one request used."

"Ok… good, then secondly: Am I traveling between worlds?"

"Yes."

"... then my last question, can I visit my original world?"

"..." I can see it contemplating my inquiry, "Yes, but you must not get involved. The moment you do is the moment your life shall flash before you once again. Earth, the mundane world you once believed it was is more than it seems. And before you ask, don't. You'll know in due time."

I closed my mouth as I was just about to ask why.

"I do believe I asked all your questions, now for the wishes you want."

I knew by its tone that it was getting about that time. They did say we were in a time constraint.

"Right, well… we can start with Masterclass level Piloting skills. And that would be useless without a mech to pilot so… I'd like to have my own Armored Core. Preferably the IB series: HAL 826. Know what I mean?"

I get a conformational nod from it.

"To add on, I'd like the IB-C03W1: WLT 011, IA-C01W7: ML-REDSHIFT, IA-C01W6: N8-REDSHIFT, and the 44-142 KRSV as my starting weapons. Also, the BOOSTER/FCS/GENERATOR shall all be Rubiconian related." As I said my piece, I sat and waited for the hopeful confirmation.

It sits there on its throne comfortably for a bit until a subtle nod was given. Taking that as a go ahead I stated my next wish.

"For the second wish, I'd like for the AC to be a growth type weapon, exceeding that of its game counterpart. I want it to grow as I become stronger, more adept to the world. And, I don't know if this counts for this request but, I'd also like it to have an auto repair function."

It sighs as if it's given in, "I'll allow that to be included in your second request. Now for your last demand."

I sigh in relief, "For my last, I'd like a sign-in system."

"Heh, you could've been smarter with that one, but fine I shall grant your request. You have given me your three demands. Farewell and have fun in your next life My Child.

"What- aAH!"

With that, I disappeared in blinding light.

"Was that necessary hun?" A sweet yet stoic voice asks the being of universes, "Was it really ok to go with the whimsical bad guy route? You do know that one day he'll find out we, his parents, ask a god of reincarnation to send him here. We literally ask another god to kill our son."

The Woman stands before her throne and turns toward the voice. A Man in his mid 40s faces the Woman. Yet the number doesn't stop him from having a chiseled face where a full beard hugs his lower face. Eyes bright red and hair black as a black hole. Body built like a mountain, the man gently goes for a hug. The Woman returns the gesture in kind.

"Calruth Vulta, you are not one to worry even at the maws of death, yet you worry the moment our child is mentioned. Tell me, you just don't want him to say he hates you right.

Cal buries his face deeper in the Woman's embrace, "We may be gods, but we raised him like a mortal back on Earth. What we did may be normal in the eyes of those like us, yet with his human mind, I have no doubt he would resent us."

"Resent us he might, but only time will tell," the Woman's arms loosen around Cal, "But until then, we got a war to fight."

The Woman conjures a purple warp gate, only to walk through without waiting for her husband.

"Right, the war," Cal strides towards the gate, hands in his pocket of his sweatpants, "I'll murder the shit out of you for taking away my father and son time dipshit."

He angrily enters the gate as it closes behind him. Once closed, the realm cracks like windows, only to fall apart soon after, leaving nothing behind.
