CHAPTER 4:MR D

Third person's pov

The Shaman who usually goes by the name Mr D pours Sarah a hot cup of cinnamon tea and Sarah took the cup and gulps it down overlooking the fact that it was hot, I guess she was too excited and nervous and adrenaline rush can immensely improve a person's pain threshold afterall.

Mr D clears his throat, stares at Sarah for a few minutes as if analysing if she was ready for what he had to say and begins.....

"There is nothing wrong with your boy Sarah he is just...he hesistated as if trying to think of the right words to use. He is just special in ways you can never imagine. He is more like me or less he bragged, human but possesses psychic gifts.

Nothing out of the ordinary, without proper training and cultivation it will probably fade away and become dormant after a few years, you really have nothing to worry about. Meanwhile I will give you a bracelet that will help in preventing any accidents from happening, make sure he has it on everytime and you'll have nothing to worry about".

He gave Sarah a warm smile as he finished and Sarah in turn returned the smile as she felt a huge relief, she was happy to know that she was exaggerating and thing were not as bad as she thought and with that she stood up and left for her home with the bracelet in her possession.

MR D pov

*I hope that bracelet will protect him until I find a permanent solution to this chaos.

Jamie's pov

I'm cuddled up in my bed, I haven't seen anything abnormal or paranormal since then but I think I have become paranoid and also worried.

Did I really see those thinga or am I sick? Is this madness? Schizophrenia?

Come to think of it, why am I even all worked up about this? I thought

Nothing good ever happens to me and this shouldn't be an exception. With this thought in mind, as cynical as it sounds I found the energy and courage to eventually leave my bed and walked down to the kitchen to make pancakes.

I suck at cooking, pancakes are the only food I make that I can actually ingest. I wonder where my Mom went, she should be back by now, it's getting really late. As I pickup the phone to dial her, she walks in sweating and panting as if she walked all the way back.

She greets and pats my head and looks relieved and happy that I finally got out of bed. She grabs one of my pancakes and she staggers up to her room as the stairwells makes an annoying creaking noise.

*30 mins later

My mom walks down and joins me in the sitting room where I was lying down watching a boring tv show. She hands me a bracelet.

Put that on and make sure you always have it on at all times especially when you are not at home she said in a very tired and husky voice.

Uhmmmm.....Why mom? I asked

What is it for and why do I need to put it on at all times? It's not exactly the best looking bracelet, I mean c'mon mom, this is hedious.

Don't argue with me Jamie she said almost screaming. She immediately regained her composure and looked at me apologetically as she said " I'm really tired tonight Jamie" I'll explain in the morning, okay?

I nodded in agreement and with that she went back to her room as I went to mine pondering on the awkwardness of what just happened.

I guess I'll find out tomorrow morning...
