(Third Person Perspective)
In a small apartment in Tokyo, the sound of water filled the apartment. Then in front of the sink, a woman gathered the water in her hands before she washed her face. Before she looked at the mirror in front of her, that reflected a girl who had just turned twenty. The mirror showed a girl with brown hair before the ends of her hair were dyed pink.
Her golden eyes looked at herself as she saw there was a tired expression on her.
"Huh? I looked a bit of a mess. I need to use some makeup to cover it up." She said that with a small laugh of her own at the end of her word.
The girl herself was Takahashi Roboco, an underground idol in Tokyo, a member of four girls around the same age as her. Honestly, she had never dreamed of becoming an idol or anything like that. Well, she was never really interested in idols themselves, and she didn't have the bright personality that idols always had in her mind. She has always thought of herself as an introvert.
How did she end up becoming an idol?
From the start, Roboco wasn't interested in idols and the like, especially for a girl who grew up in the countryside. Roboco was never familiar with idol culture until the beginning of junior high school when her childhood friend and close friend who moved to Tokyo some time ago started telling her about idols and how she was interested in becoming an idol after moving to Tokyo.
For Roboco, her childhood friend was a perfect fit to be an idol. She was beautiful, funny, and as lively as the idols on screen. Therefore, Roboco, who often communicated with her childhood friend, began to pay attention to idol things. It seems that her friend saw an idol group called B-Komachi, and became a fan of it before she wanted to be herself.
Roboco herself saw the idol group and liked it too, she may not be a fanatic like her friend, but she always paid attention to the idol group. Around the second year of junior high school, when Roboco's friend was fourteen, she started entering Audition to become an idol.
The things her friend said to her were always optimistic, even though it was a rough result. Although she failed over the years, it seems like she always tried her best to become an idol. In her sophomore year of high school, Roboco received information that her friend had finally become an idol, albeit an underground idol.
After she became an underground idol, the frequency of their communication started to decrease. However, when they spoke over the phone, their friend always sounded excited and optimistic. After some time, she suddenly lost communication. It wasn't long before Roboco got accepted and continued her education in Tokyo. She tried to meet her friend, discovering that almost everything she knew was an illusion.
Roboco basically only followed one idol group and rarely looked into other idol groups. She heard about underground idols. She didn't know it would be this bad. Well, when she came to Tokyo for the first time Roboco learned about her friend's death and how life in Tokyo was very different from what she knew.
It looked like her family life after they moved to Tokyo didn't go well as her father started cheating on her mother, and her mother became harsh with her which was why the idols became her escape and she desperately wanted to become one, so she became an underground idol. And it looked like it became worse from there.
Many bad things happened to her, including drugs and selling her body to promote herself before she finally felt she was a prostitute rather than an idol. She was afraid that she might go into debt with her boss, and the drug made her unable to leave very easily. She even said that there was her client who was much older than her father, and a rich one fancied her and asked to become his lover. She said she was too afraid to reject him, and it looked like not only was he powerful, but he liked to use drugs and was a rough person too.
Anyway, it was such an awful thing to know at this point as to why Roboco knows this stuff. It was because someone that knew her friend kept her diary and gave it to her. It looked like that person felt sorry about her friend, and there was a time she said that she had her best friend.
From the diary, Roboco knew what had happened to her and the person responsible for her death. She didn't believe that she died from an overdose. That's why she vowed to find evidence and give justice to her.
It was an absurd thing to do, but she was going to do it. She spent her time training herself to become an idol, and when she saw that the place where her friend became an idol was opening auditions. As Roboco read from the diary, she immediately had an advantage as her profile was the target of this production house. A young girl from the countryside wanted to become an idol.
This led Roboco to meet Azki, who, in her eyes, had something in common with her childhood friend. She was a beautiful, innocent, and quite spirited girl. She also has the same profile as Roboco, coming from the countryside and wanting to become an idol like Roboco's childhood friend. As the two of them were quite similar in some way, Roboco and Azki became closer.
Anyway, the difference was Azki also actually had talent and maybe because of her this group was safe for a long time before the house production slowly started to demand something else from the group.
Well, just like that, the other girl took the chance and went behind the stage. Roboco herself used that opportunity to record anything she could to bring this production house to justice. Of course, she made sure she wasn't deep enough to take drugs or sell herself. Most of what she was doing was acting like a cabaret girl and pouring a drink to the clients they introduced.
This put a strain on Roboco and Azki's relationship because Azki didn't like such things, and she wondered why Roboco would do such a thing because Azki felt that Roboco was not a person who liked such things.
But Roboco never told Azki she was trying to do something dangerous. Even so, Roboco always did her best to ensure Azki would never go to the dark side of entertainment. But it seems that somehow, Roboco found out that Jimina, the president, was trying to get Azki together with one of his favorite clients, which of course, made Roboco worried and she did not want that to happen because she is afraid Azki will end up like her childhood friend.
"Yeah, I need to do something," Roboco said in front of her reflection in the mirror as if she wanted to convince herself to do something dangerous. She already had everything she hoped to bring the production house to justice. However, Roboco still felt something was missing. She needed a big thing to make sure the company went down.
"Hu… I don't have much time." So she said but even though she successfully gained something, she got caught and ran away late at night in the rain. Which somehow, someway, helped her a lot. But at the time she nearly got caught.
Someone helped her, someone that actually changed her life forever.
