Tensura: That time I got reincarnated early

ISEKAI IS NOT AN OVERSATURATED GENRE... (Warning: If you don't like female leads, don't read this.) … is what one Tensura fanatic believes. Gin, out main character, is a kid who loves world building and lore in fantasy worlds. What could go wrong with a new addition to the story making changes in the background before the story even begins? Gin reincarnates into the Tensura world a little more than 2000 years early so to make changes to the lore behind the world before Rimuru arrives. Follow the story as Gin makes changes in the background that seem small to the world, but can end up changing the entire story I am writing just for fun Feedback would still be wonderful Updates will probably be irregular There will be spoilers for those who only watched the anime I do not own That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime or the cover picture. Everything belongs to their respective creators. (Warning 2: There will be temporary Genderbend so if you don't like girls, don't read this.)

Chapter 3: A new Sister in the Family

--about one year later--

"Gin! Come here.

Meet you new little siblings. This baby girl here, her name is Milim. And this little baby dragon here is Gaia."

Today is the day after Milim's birth. Yesterday, Gin was kicked out of the house so that he wouldn't disrupt the newborn baby. Now that he was actually able to meet Milim, Gin looked surprised when he saw Milim. After staring at and studying her for about a minute, Gin noticed something.

"If my current form is based off of Milim, why don't I look like her?"

Even thought Gin's human form was based of of Lucia and Milim, Gin looked nothing like the two. Instead of pink hair and light blue eyes like Milim and Lucia, he had shining golden hair and eyes. Looking at them was like looking at pure gold in the midday sun, shining brilliantly by reflecting the light. Also, Gin's ears were very slightly pointed, as if she had distant blood relations to an elf.

"That's because you are a light attributed dragon, making your features change to look light attributed," Veldanava said, sounding sage-like, before he added, "Your ears though, I added that part because I thought it would look cool on you."

----------

"Are you going to leave now, since Milim is now Born?" Gin asked, looking a little down.

More than a year ago, (when Milim was conceived but not yet born,) Gin was introduced to the Nava family as Milim's adopted older sibling. As a reincarnator, Gin's intelligence was already at the level of a human adult, so before Milim and Gaia were born, to stave off boredom and loneliness, besides training he would communicate with Lucia and Veldanava. After a few months of this, Lucia and Veldanava treated Gin as if he was their actual child, not just an adopted one. In time, Gin also started growing close to them, and noticed a change within himself. He used to think that this was all just fantasy and that the people he was dealing with were just characters in an anime, but in time he came to accept the fact that these were actual living beings, not just characters, that he was interacting with. Because of this, about a month after Milim is born, when he noticed that Lucia and Veldanava were acting strangely, Gin brought up a heavy topic.

Veldanava replied, "I'm surprised, how did you figure that out?"

Gin proceeds to tell Veldanava about his backstory, including how he was male in his past life, but more importantly, how in his old world, the world they currently live in was only a fantasy and should not actually exist. He then brings up the fact that if they do leave, pretty soon, they are going to die and Milim will be left alone. However for some unknown reason, Veldanava smiles sadly.

Waiting a few seconds before sighing, he gloomily says, "I already know that my end will come. Both Lucia and I know. But if we don't leave, then Milim will die as well. That's why I left Gaia and now you, with Milim. Its so that she will still have family as she grows up. Before you came, I foretold that although Gaia would unfortunately die, Milim would make new friends in Ramris and Guy, but now with you here, I don't think she will need to worry at all. In fact, looking at what's to come in the future, I think I'll leave you with a parting gift. I won't give you any ultimate skills or Nullifications, but I will give a few lesser skills and resistances."

{Confirmed.

[Pain Resistance] and [Paralysis Resistance] have been combined and evolved into [Abnormal Status Resistance] successful.

[Temperature Resistance] has evolved into [Natural Elements Resistance] successful.

[Physical Attack Resistance] successfully acquired.

[Magic Attack Resistance] successfully acquired.

[Spiritual Attack Resistance] successfully acquired.

Intrinsic Skill [Light Body] successfully acquired.

Intrinsic Skill [Flame Breath] successfully acquired.

Intrinsic Skill [Wind Breath] successfully acquired.

Single use Ultimate Gift [Soul Collector] successfully acquired. }

Except for Soul Collector, none of these abilities are overpowered, as these are only resistances and intrinsic skills. However, once Gin awakens as a true dragon, there is a change that these turn into full Nullifications abilities. Also, as a baby dragon, Gin had yet to receive any intrinsic abilities, so it was good to have a few attack skills. But after thinking for a moment, Gin realized that he wasn't able to scan [Soul Collector] to copy it for later. But right before he was able to voice his question, Veldanava somehow knew what was about to be asked.

"The reason I gave you [Soul Collector] is so that you can revive Gaia after he dies. I told Dino to tell Milim that Gaia is my vessel for reincarnation, but to tell you the truth, I don't need one and would be able to revive at any time. But I'm getting old so after I die, I'm going to retire and leave the world to run on its own. But if you want to, you can use [Soul Collector] to revive Gaia so that Milim will still have a memento of me."

"Don't worry, now that I'm here, Milim won't be lonely. I'll do my best to raise her into a great outstanding person. *sob*" Gin said sadly.

"Goodbye. I hope that one day we will see each other again" Veldanava said before taking Lucia and flying off into the setting sun.

Side story

--3 years later--

(A/N: At this point, I will start using female pronouns to describe Gin, as Gin would have had 4 years to accept and get used to the fact that he is now a she.)

"Ginny!!! Gaia!!! Let's play more!!!" screamed a platinum pink haired little girl who was running around two young sleeping dragons. That playful and energetic little girl being obnoxious is Milim Nava, the child of Veldanava and the little sister to Gin.

"Its too early for this. Can't we play later? And I told you, its Gin, not Ginny." Gin said quietly, after she transformed into her human form, looking around 8 years old. About a year ago, Gin noticed that she seemed to be aging twice as quickly, and is guessing that its because Dragons age at a different speed than humans, so Gin looks about double her actual age. [Great Sage] confirmed this, and also revealed that Gin would stop aging when she looks about 21 years old.

After 3 years of looking after Milim, [Exhaust Resistance] evolved into [Exhaust Nullification], but somehow Milim was still able to overwhelm Gin with her childlike personality and energy. After Lucia and Veldanava left, leaving only Milim, Gin, and Gaia behind, the two dragons and one dragonoid stuck together all the time. Being the only ones around, the trio had all the freedom in the world in a large grassy plain biome with a nice large wooden cabin to live in. But at the same time, because they were the only three around, they were all each other had, meaning they grew very close to each other. However, it was a little different in Gaia's case, as since he was a young dragon who had not yet received any powers from Veldanava or Milim yet, his intelligence did not reach the level of the other two, This meant that Milim and Gin relied on each other more for communication, and therefore grew even closer, just as close as actual family, the bond of real sisters, not just friends.

"NO! Let's play tag now! This time, I'll chase you and if I get you, then you have to let me ride on your back again."

'It seems the she's not gonna give up. I guess I'll just go get her real quickly and continue my nap later,' thought Gin. Years ago, the moment Milim was able to run around, she was always extremely energetic. So energetic that Gin learned very quickly that if Milim wants to play, she won't stop bugging you until you agree, so when Milim started running, Gin very quickly and stealthily hid the still sleeping Gaia, transformed into an almost exact copy of Gaia and made a clone. Then, in Gaia's form, she started running after Milim and had the clone take her original place by having it count down from 10.

"Ready or not, here I come!"

At that point, Gin, who was transformed into Gaia, caught up and was right next to Milim, tackled her to the ground. Milim had not yet created her overpowered Unique Skill [Milim Eye], so she was unable to tell that it was not Gaia, but instead Gin who was next to her. But unfortunately, she didn't like the fact that she was tricked, so slowly but steadily, you could see her joyful energetic face slowly drop into a frown with water starting to fall from her eyes.

"Th-Thats cheating. WAHHHH" Cried Milim as she started to look really sad.

"W-Wait, lets play again. This time I won't use the same trick and we can use the same wager," Gin proposed hurriedly. This wasn't the first time Milim threatened to have a tantrum about, and Gin knew what she can get very scary once she starts releasing her energy. However, it seems that it wasn't Gin who tricked Milim, but instead Milim who tricked Gin. All of a sudden, Milim grinned evilly and sprinted away, tears no longer falling from her eyes, and her once sad frown immediately jumping into an even larger smile than the one she had before.

Milim laughed and said into the distance, "HA HA HA! I won't fall for the same trick again," as she ran off.

"Dang, I should have known," Gin cured quietly. But by the time she as ready to start chasing Milim again, she was so far off that it was getting

----------

About half an hour later, when Gin finally caught up to the running Milim, she quickly scooped the little girl up into her arms and carried her while floating all the way back to their home.

"Okay Milim, you agreed that after I caught you, you'll calm down and take a nap, right?" Gin confirmed with Milim since she didn't want to half to chase Milim again. Milim's speed and energy has been growing at an exponential speed, probably since Veldanava was slowly unlocking the power he gave Milim until she fully received her half of Veldanava's power.

"Fine, I'll take a nap. I'm tired anyways." Said Milim before she jumped right on to a sleeping Gaia to snuggle.

'Finally, some peace and quiet.' thought Gin as he he turned around and left the room, but a few seconds after he closed the door, he heard a crash. When he rushed into the room, he saw the far wall with a cut out hole of a human.

"What happened here!?" screamed Gin.

{Confirmed. Skill [Lie Detection] successfully acquired.}

"DANG IT! I GOT TRICKED AGAIN!!!!"

Extra Authors Notes

I think this chapter was a decent size. Its about 2 thousand words, and I will try to keep it that way. I added a side story at the end to try to add a little bit of humor since the setup for the backstory will take a few more chapters and I don't want the early chapters to be boring.

Hi everyone. This chapter was about 2000 words, which I think is a decent length. I also added a side story at the end, and will try to add side stories every few chapters.
