Ah! It Stings!

"Sorry, wait a moment." he cautiously took her injured hand in his. He didn't put any force this time and gently took off the bracelet. She hissed in pain. The beautiful bracelet looked like a bloody piece now after it was removed. Then, he turned around hurriedly and went outside.

The doctor and the nurse were talking at a corner of the corridor. He was explaining Luo Lixi's conditions to her. He also gave her some advice to maintain on the following days. He was happy as he could return to the hospital today.

When they noticed Sheng Ruming approaching them, they stopped talking. He walked to them in large steps and stopped before the doctor.

"Mr Sheng, do you have anything to say to me?" he asked him politely when he noticed his gaze was on him.

"Come with me." He took the doctor by his collar and dragged him in the room. The nurse hesitantly followed them inside.

The doctor was puzzled as to why he was being dragged all of a sudden. He was dumbfounded by the situation. It was like he didn't have any respect in Sheng Ruming's eyes.

"She is injured. Check her now." He ordered him aggressively. 

The doctor firstly looked at him. Nobody had treated him like this before. He was spurting vulgar words at him in his mind.

When he glanced at Luo Lixi he saw she was holding her right wrist in her other hand. 

There were some traces of blood. He didn't delay any longer and took the first aid kit from the bedside. He examined her hand. It was a light injury but in her pale hand it looked very glaring.

"It stings, doctor." When the doctor used a cotton rub with sanitiser to clean the bloodstains on her wrist and pressed on her wounds, she couldn't endure the pain and shouted aloud.

"It will. Just bear with it." he answered nonchalantly as it was common for people to exaggerate small injuries like they are dying. He gave a light pressure on her hand to clean the wounds but her hand was shaking.

He became irritated and said while increasing his volume a little, "Don't move. You're a grown-up now. Can't you even endure just a little pain?" 

Luo Lixi nodded slightly but couldn't help but quiver a little when the sanitiser touched her bruised skin and she felt the stinging pain in there. 

Sheng Ruming observed everything from the side. His expression became darker the more he saw her face on pain. Even though her face was normal, her eyebrows were creased.

Honestly, he felt guilty because he made her bruises worse by gripping her tightly. Or else he would have helped her to bandage it. The nurse observed him from the side. His bad mood was very apparent to her.

But when the man saw she was holding her breath and the bad attitude of the doctor to her, something inside him snapped instantly. 

Je hired so many people to look after her but she was injured. Also, somebody dared to mock and mistreat her in his presence. Then it was that maid, and now, this doctor. He thought as his hand clenched tightly.

Sheng Ruming wanted to punch the man before him savagely. His rationality didn't work anymore. He decided to teach a lesson to all of them who had mistreated his woman. He knew his thoughts were dangerous and to hide them, Sheng Ruming went outside and looked at the CCTV camera at a corner of the second floor. From there, it could cover up all the doors. He called Xiao Huang.

"Check the CCTV that is on the second corridor and look at who were the persons who entered her room after I left for the company in the morning."

The CCTV was disguised as to avoid being noticed. The bodyguards monitored the whole area day and night. 

Nobody knew there were twenty cameras hidden in this villa. He didn't tell the workers as it felt very odd and uncomfortable about being monitored by someone. But he did it for Luo Lixi. Even if there were tight security nobody could guarantee that it was full proof. 

He waited outside of her room. His mood was becoming worse and worse by the passing minute. Her painful expression kept playing in his vision.

Ding~

Suddenly his phone vibrated as a message popped up. Xiao Huang had sent him the footage in a messaging app. He opened the chatbox and played the video. 

Nana was seen to enter the room right after he left for the company. She spent some time there and when she exited the room, she was shocked and flustered. 

There was extreme fear written all over her face. She ran out of the room and went downstairs in a fluster.

'It's definitely her.' He clenched his jaws tightly. 

Sheng Ruming wasn't someone cold-blooded or ruthless one that would punish someone for a trivial thing. He ignored them as long as they didn't cross his bottom line. Before he ignored her as she didn't do anything overboard. This damn maid took his benevolence as granted.

'Did she thought she had escaped after doing something to her?' He wore a ferocious expression as he called Xiao Huang again. The other side immediately accepted his call.

"Yes, Sir."

"Where is that maid I asked to throw out?"

"I asked someone to send her out of this place and warned her not to show up in this area."

"Capture her and throw her in jail."

"What?!"

"She neglected her duty and didn't focus on her own tasks. She assaulted someone she shouldn't have. Report her to police station. Having a stain in her resume should teach her a lesson."

"Well..."

"Get that?"

"Okay. Also, take care of the doctor in the villa like her. I don't want their life to be peaceful ever again."

"Got it."

Karma hit hard when it came back to Nana. She thought she was spared however soon she knew her good days were over as police took her to interrogate.
