Ten minutes to dream

“And all the oceans, the flowers, the butterflies, the people, everything was reflected in your gaze.” Marina is a 17-year-old Russian teenager, struggling to understand her feelings and experiences that have given her a great rejection towards love. Chapter 6

After finishing all the exhibitions, we had to go to the teacher and tell her who we were going to base our work on. I chose Magritte's lovers, I'm not sure what Ósip chose, he wrote it after I handed him the page, so it would be a complete surprise to me when he saw his work. We were both still together, we were on some swings, eating some handmade pizzas that we had bought. The exhibition had been good, there were too many things that I didn't know. Each painting had its own meaning and each one gave it a different one.

—So? Shall we go on Sunday?

—I have to ask my mom.

—Do you mind if you have to wait for me in Ozyorsk?

I felt a little chill, I didn't want to wait for him outside my house, I was afraid that what broke me so much would happen again.

—Come pick me up at home, I don't want to get out of there, —I said quickly.

He looked doubtful, thoughtful, we lived too far away for him to do that, but he really said yes. Yes he would come for me, even so far away. I looked at my hands, I was weird, I didn't feel like I was myself.

—Oh! I expressed because of Ósi.

Since he had gotten behind me, he pushed me to get the swing moving.

—We've come to swing!

—But Osip! I said with a happy laugh.

He was smiling, he was happy with him. It was as if a bit of spring was in the middle of winter; a little happiness, around the snow.
