Chapter Eight

A DEPARTMENTAL STORE, 2PM**

The staffs of the store greeted respectfully when Arizona entered with Ming and Yang behind her.

Anytime she comes to shop, there's always bonuses for everyone.

She shops at least thrice a week.

She removed her shades and threw it to Yang who caught it.

She started walking around the hangers, picking anything she finds attractive.

She never looks at anything twice.

Once she looks at it and likes it, she's picking it.

Almost thirty minutes, she's still picking.

"The car trunk is full already" Yang said.

"Tell the driver to contact another driver, I have more than ten drivers if I can still remember" she replied and continued shopping.

Yang looked at Ming and they both sighed before Yang made the call.

She was still shopping when another person entered.

Arizona smiled, smelling her scent.

Arielle.

She stopped shopping and walked down the lane, meeting Arielle at the end of it.

Arielle is with Bing and two of her staffs.

"Oh, the shoppaholic is here" Arielle said.

"Rotten pizza is here" Arizona replied.

"What!, Rotten.... rotten what?" Arielle said.

"Ion like repeating myself, that's why I always talk loud and clear" Arizona replied.

" Heard you messed up with Kevin" Arielle said with a mocking smile.

" Are you jealous that I should have messed up with you instead?, Did you miss me?" Arizona replied with a slow but witchy smile.

" If you get the contract, that means my name is not Arielle" Arielle said.

" Your name isn't Arielle initially, it's rotten pizza" Arizona replied.

" Yaa!, I hate you" Arielle shot angrily.

" I don't hate you, I'm just simply not excited about your existence" Arizona replied simply.

Arielle breathed in anger.

"I'd have just burnt you right now but my mum told me not to burn trash" she said.

" Oh wow!, That's why you haven't burnt yourself" Arizona smiled.

Yang laughed out so loud and when Bing couldn't hold it anymore, he laughed out loud too.

"Two wrongs don't make a right, I'd have gave you a dose of your your medicine" Arielle said.

" Yes two wrongs don't really make a right, take your parents as an example" Arizona replied and Yang finally fell, laughing so much.

"I'll kill you!!' Arielle shouted and rushed to Arizona, grabbing her hair roughly.

Arizona grabbed her hair too and they started pulling each other's hairs.

"You dysfunctional b*tch!, You're a b*t h!" Arielle spat.

" You say that as if it's a bad thing" Arizona replied, pulling her hair more hard.

Yang had to stand and join Bing.

They started trying to disentangle them.

THE MENDELSSOHN'S HOUSE**

Alena almost screamed when she saw Blaze's face.

He came back from school with a swollen face full of bruises.

"Blaze!" She exclaimed, rushing to him.

"Why is your face like this?, Were you bullied at school?, Who did this to your face?" She questioned.

" I'm fine mum" he replied, trying to go in but she held him.

"Talk to me already what happened to your face!"

" Ok I fell" he replied.

" Do you think I don't have a brain?, You fell and your face became like this?"

" Mum I'm fine I promise, I need to go pull off my uniform" he said.

" Why is your uniform a mess too?" She asked, looking at it.

" Mum I'm fine, have you eaten?" He asked as he entered the room.

Alena quickly got her phone and dialled her friend's line.

"I'll take the job, when should I start?" She asked.

"Really?, Why did you suddenly change your mind?"

"I need the money"

" Come to my place tommorow morning then we can go together"

" Ok" Alena replied and hung up.

" Blaze you need to get your face treated" she said, entering the room.

DINE & SMILE RESTAURANT, 8PM**

Arizona came out of the car, looking as elegant as usual.

She adjusted the muffler on her gown and her phone rang, it's her mum calling.

"Hey eomma" she smiled knowingly.

"Don't tell me you're still at home, I did a lot before I was able to arrange that man for you" Rita said.

" I'm in front of the restaurant already, you'll hear about how it went later" Arizona replied.

" I want good news" Rita said.

" araseo ( ok )" she replied and hung up.

"Pepper" she called and her parrot flew from the car to her shoulder.

"Do a good job in there ok?" She said and Pepper chirped on her shoulder as she started walking in.

Everyone she came across stared at her.

*Who the hell comes with a parrot to a date*

She entered the room reserved for them and met the man on seat already.

He looks petrified to see the parrot on her shoulder.

His eyes widened.

Arizona has a tricky smile on her face as she went in fully.

"Hi!, Sorry if I kept you waiting!, It took a lot of time to get my parrot ready" she said and Pepper flew on the table, in front of the man.

" Meet Pepper" Arizona introduced.

"Aarrgggh!!!!" The man screamed, so scared of the parrot.

Arizona stood surprisingly, looking at him.

"Take it away!, I hate parrots!, Get it off!" He shouted, hiding behind her.

" You have a p*nis and you're scared of parrots?" She said.

"Pepper" she called and it flew on her shoulder again.

He stepped away from her and Arizona sat.

"Sit, if you're ready for this date" she said.

The man sat fearfully, avoiding the eyes of the parrot.

"You won't say your name Mr Parrot phobia?" She said.

"Steve" he replied and Arizona smiled.

" Arizona" she said.

" Nice to meet you" he said.

"I'll decide if it's nice to meet you or not after this date" she replied and pressed a bell on the table

A server appeared.

"Spaghetti squash, meatballs and...

She looked up and gasped when she saw Vince.

"Anaconda?, You work at H-HEY, how come you're here again".

"Spaghetti squash, meatballs and what? " He asked, ignoring her question.

" Any available red wine" she replied.

" Same thing" Steve said.

Vince looked at the parrot on Arizona's shoulder again before leaving to get the orders.

"What do you like in a lady?" Arizona asked.

"I love coolheaded ladies" he replied.

"Oh"

" I love a lady that I'm comfortable with, I love....I love...

He started stammering, looking at the parrot's eyes.

It looks so scary the way it's turning.

"Love what?" She asked.

"A lady who doesn't like parrots" he replied and Pepper chirped loudly, rolling it's eyes.

" Ahhhhhh!!!' he screamed in fright, rushing out of the place Immediately.

Arizona laughed out loud, patting Pepper.

"He's a coward, rat-snake" she smiled.

Vince came with the orders and settled them on the table.

She dropped the money on the table and stood.

"You aren't eating what you ordered?" He asked.

"I came here for show, the show ended so I should go" she smiled.

He looked at the money on the table and the dishes.

"So you work here too?" She asked.

"Do I need to write it on my forehead?" He replied, taking the money.

" You must have a lot of part time jobs, myeot sariya? (how old are you?)" She asked.

"I don't have to tell you that" he replied but she pulled the ID on his neck and her eyes caught his age luckily, she gasped shockingly.

"22!, and you're talking to me casually?, How rude" she curved her lips.

He started walking out and she made to follow when reporters rushed in.

Her heart skipped beats

Vince's eyes widened.

"Who let them in" he muttered as they surrounded Arizona, snapping her pictures and asking questions.

As the camera lights flashed repeatedly on Arizona's face, her vision became blurry and she started getting the deja Vu again.

Fifteen years ago.... Arielle and the bad boys.

She held her head and tears came out of her eyes as she pushed the reporters out of the way.

She blindly walked out of their midst, her eyes are opened but she can't see anything as she walked.

She bumped into something hard and stopped, it's actually Vince's chest.

Her head is still pounding with the memories....

"Miss" Vince called, not bothering to hold her.

She looked up at him, her vision is slowly coming back but it's blurry, she held his shirt tightly in the front.

"S...sa... save me" she whispered, her whole body shaking on his own, she's sweating so much already.

She went limp after saying that, passing out in his arms immediately.

She almost slipped to the ground but Vince held her back, holding her tight with wide eyes.

He looked at his necklace and held her tighter.

"Call an ambulance!" Someone shouted.
