Chapter 9: Investigation

As he got out of his car and looked at the extremely nice neighborhood around him, the Speedwagon Foundation couldn't help but shake his head.

'Who could have expected that she would be the culprit?' thought the investigator as he looked at the file in his hands, which had the photo of a young blond girl on it.

After a few moments, another car parked straight next to the car of the investigator, two men then walked out of the car.

"Are you the ones who will ensure my protection?" asked the investigator as he looked at the men.

"Yes sir," said one of the two men, causing the investigator to nod.

"Very well then, let's go," said the investigator as he looked he began walking, leaving his car behind him.

Seeing this, the two private guards quickly followed the investigator.

"This area really is extremely rich," mumbled the investigator as he looked at the extremely expensive-looking house around.

Hearing the words of the investigator, neither of the two guards said anything, as they continued to silently walk behind him.

Suddenly, the eyes of the investigator lit up, as he noticed a small figure walking in the distance, causing him to slightly speed up his walking speed.

...

"Hello, may I have a moment of your time please?" asked the investigator as he approached a slightly short black girl, Lydia

Hearing the words of the man who had just approached her, Lydia, who was in a slightly bad mood, calmed down.

"What is it sir?" asked Lydia as she looked at the investigator, causing him to suddenly raise a photo of a certain blond girl.

"Are you familiar with this person?" asked the investigator, causing Lydia to slightly frown.

"I've heard of her and seen her first hand just once, but never actually interacted with her," said Lydia as she looked at the investigator.

"So, what have you heard of her?" asked the investigator as he lowered the photo back into the file, taking out a pen from one of his pockets in the process.

...

"Sir, we already have most of this information, is it really necessary to waste time this way?" one of the guards as he walked behind the investigator.

"It is," said the investigator, causing some embarrassment to appear on the face of the guard, causing the other guard to faintly smile as he looked at his colleague.

After a few more moments of walking, the group of three finally arrived at their destination, a luxurious house located near the left side of the neighborhood.

Staring at the gate of the propriety, which was currently closed, the investigator nodded, a faint smile on his face.

"Now all we have to do is wait for the owner of the propriety to arrive," mumbled the investigator as he continued looking at the files in his hands.

Right now, the investigator was re-reading the file of 'Noah Miller', the adoptive mother of the attacker, as well as the person they will be talking with today.

Suddenly, the face of the investigator slightly changed, as he smelled a putrid scent coming from the ground.

"What in the world did these people do with the sewers," said the investigator, looking at the sewer below him.

Suddenly, the face of investigator froze, as he looked at the rotten hand which was just about to grip his leg with fear clearly visible on his face.

...

"Who in the world would do something like this?" mumbled Michael, a police officer as he looked inside of the cramped sewer.

Although the sewer was relatively tiny, inside of it stood three bodies, all three of them mutilated, their limbs cut off and thrown about the sewer and their faces cut open.

On top of the three bodies stood some text, which was clearly written in their blood.

'I'm not here Joestar'

Looking at the words, which were written using the blood of innocents, shivers went up the spines of several police officers.

"I don't know who would do something like this, but I really don't want to meet them," said Oliver, another one of the police officers as he looked at the scene in front of him, especially at the two pistols which had been carelessly tossed about the sewer.

"That's true," mumbled Henry, a middle-aged balding white man as he took out a radio from his pocket.

"Unit 17 here, we got three 140s at our location, requesting pick up," said Henry before talking for a few more moments and shutting off the radio.

"We just need to wait sometime, reinforcements are on the way and we can get the hell away from here," said Henry, when suddenly, Lucas, a young police officer fired a shot into a certain sewer pipe.

"Why the hell would you do that? Don't you know how dangerous shooting inside of a sewer pipe is?!" asked Henry with an extremely angry expression on his face.

"I saw something staring at us from in there," said Lucasas, slightly shaken, fear clearly visible on his face, causing a deep silence.

Thanks to the silence, the group was clearly able to hear the faint sounds of moving coming from those pipes, causing the officers to freeze for a moment.

"Are you even police officers? Being afraid of a slightly larger rat, Really? You get back to the car," said Henry as he pointed towards Lucas, more anger appearing on his face.

'That was way too large to be a rat,' thought Henry, as he slightly shook.

Thankfully though, Henry made sure that his squad members did not catch glimpse of it.

...

At the moment, a rotting corpse, which should clearly be dead was crawling through the sewer pipes, slowly but surely moving in a certain direction.

Although the pipes in this area were too small for a human to fit through, taking advantage of the fact that it was dead, the corpse was easily able to deform, and move through the pipes, eventually emerging into a larger area.

Inside of that larger area stood a black man with a bloody knife in his hands, if not for the fact that that the man was next to the corpse, one might even glance over the fact that he was also showing signs of rot.
