WOLF MOON

NIGHT, BEACON HILLS

On the rural outskirts of the town called Beacon Hills, police car and state trooper SUV's gather on a dirt road at the entrance of Beacon Hills Sanctuary. A square area was marked or barricaded with tapes indicating a crime scene. One by one, the officers get out of the vehicle and gather around the sheriff as he says

"Gather around, I know it's tough for you all to be out in this cold but that's we signed up for. So, grab your torchlights and go into the woods because we have to the other half of the body. God bless us." The man said grimly as he switched on the flashlight and led the way.

McCall house, Scott's room

Not far from those dense woods, lies a two-storey home under the canopy of trees. In that house, a teenager is sitting in his room ties the laces of his lacrosse stick. He is working slow, carefully interlacing every knot in it into a diamond mesh pattern. After knotting the last loop, Scott McCall, a sixteen-year-old boy stands up with his stick, in an athletic short, lithe frame which after some filling out will turn him into a strikingly handsome man.

Scooping a ball, testing the sturdiness of his handiwork and gives it a spin. A voice calls from outside the door.

"Scott, I am off to work. Dinner's in the fridge." Melissa, Scott's mom, yells at him.

He startles as the ball got sent crashing into the lamp.

"Okay, Mom. Take care. Don't work too hard." He yells back as she leaves and he starts picking up the broken pieces of lamp. After finishing picking the pieces, he went down, took out the dinner from the fridge and ate it. Getting ready for bed, he takes a few chin-ups at the bar mounted in the doorway of the closet and then brushes his teeth in bathroom.

As he was washing his mouth, he hears an odd cracking sound coming from the front porch. Armed with a baseball bat, Scott approaches the porch silently tip toeing. He cautiously looked here and there but didn't see anything. As he was about turn back and go into his room, the sound of movement stops him cold. He turns swiftly swinging his bat at the origin of sound.

As he was swinging the bat, a dark figure swoops down causing Scott and the figure to holler in terror at each other. As he was about hit the figure with the bat, a upside down face appears in front of him.

"Stiles, what the hell are you doing?" Scott said to his friend in frustration

Stiles caught in the trellis, smiles at him hanging upside down answers to him like it was normal to have conservation like this.

"You weren't answering your phone." Stiles said blaming him

Then stiles continued without waiting for him say why he didn't answer his phone.

"I know it's late, but you gotta' hear this. I saw my dad leave twenty minutes ago. Dispatch called. They're bringing in every officer from the Beacon Hills police department and even State Police."

 "For what?" Scott asks intrigued

"Two joggers found a dead body in the woods." Stiles reply back

"A dead body?" Scott asks shocked and confused

"No, a body of water. Yes, dumbass, a dead body." Stiles replies sarcastic and in a mocking tone.

Stiles reaches up to untangle himself free from the trellis as he somersaults and lands on his feet.

"You mean like murdered?" Scott asks shocked

"Nobody knows yet. Just that it was a girl, probably in her twenties" Stiles replies back offhandedly.

"Hold on. If they found a body, what are they looking for now?" Scott questions confused

"That's the best part. They only found half. Come on, we are going." Stiles said smiling with excited and stars shining in his eyes.

 BEACON HILLS PRESERVE

A beat-up jeep skids to a halt in front of gated entrance to the Beacon Hills Preserve. Stiles gets out with a flashlight in hand and Scott follows, hurrying to keep up with him as he charges into preserve.

"Are we seriously doing this?" Scott asks nervously

"You're the one always bitching that nothing ever happens in this town." Stiles replies back harshly

"I was trying to get a good night's sleep for practice tomorrow." Scott replies back without minding him about his worries

"Right, because sitting on the bench is such a grueling effort." Stiles scoffs at him sarcastically pointing at how miserable they are

"No, because I'm playing this year. In fact, I'm going to make first line." Scott replies back with conviction and adamant.

"That's the spirit. Everyone should have a dream. Even a pathetically unrealistic one." Stiles replies in optimistic mocking tone

"Just out of curiosity, which half of the body are we looking for?" Scott asks changing the topic

"Huh. I didn't even think about that." Stiles replied ignorantly

"And what if whoever killed the girl is still out here?" Scott questions back

"Also, something I didn't think about." Stiles replies releasing how foolish he was

"Comforting to know you've planned this out with your usual attention to detail." Scott replied as he mocks him to the reality of the situation.

Without paying mind to Scott's sarcasm, Stiles starts to racing up the paths, Scott's tries to keep up with him but breath begins to shorten and he starts to fall back.

"Maybe the severe asthmatic should be the one holding the flashlight." Scott asks frustrated in his situation as he starts to get out of breath trying to crest a hill and takes his inhaler to take a puff.

As they reached the top of the hill, Stiles pauses, when he saw flashlight beams scour the shadows and the police search team just ahead. Unable to stand still, Stiles races forward as he yells to Scott

"Come on!"

"Stiles, wait up—" Scott follows but soon get out of breath and tries calls out to him but gasping for air, Scott has to stop to take another hit from his inhaler as Stiles disappears up ahead. Then, realizing he's left Scott behind, Stiles slows to look back when he heard the barking sound, Stiles spin around and sees a search dog with fanged teeth snap at him ferociously, sending him staggering away and falling on his ass. He tries to get up and run when he heard a man yell

"State trooper, stay right there."

Listening to stiles getting caught, Scott froze and hides behind a tree. Peering out from the tree, he saw stiles caught by the state trooper when he heard a familiar voice coming from behind the state trooper.

"Hold on, hold on, this little delinquent belongs to me." Deputy Stilinski steps forward to catch him glaring at him and continued saying

"Do you listen in on all of my phone calls?"

"No... Not the boring ones." Stiles replied terrified of his dad, Noah Stilinski.

"And where's your usual partner in crime?" Deputy Stilinski asks angrily peering into the darkness

"Who? Scott? Scott's home. Said he wanted to get a good night's sleep for the first day back at school." Stiles lies through gritting his teeth hoping his friend could escape

"Scott? You out there?" Deputy Stilinski calls out to him worried and angry

Hidden in the shadows behind a tree, Scott doesn't move.

"All right, young man, I'm taking you back to your car and we're going to discuss a little something called Invasion of Privacy." Deputy Stilinski lectures to his son but still a flicker of suspicion on a corner of his mind but still trusts Scott and his hopeless son, albeit a little.

Watching Stiles getting escorted away, Scott steps out from the tree with an irritated sigh at his misfortune. Seeing this situation, Scott starts to walk back, trying to find his way back home. As he goes in deeper, he frustratingly realizing the trouble caused by lack of flashlight. As he stumbles forward in pitch black, he reaches a fork as he heard rustles among the trees. In confusion, he turns to look but didn't see anything. But then he heard the rustles again, he gets terrified as he froze and starts to panic as his increasing fear worsen his asthma. He takes out the inhaler to take a hit, but he hears an odd rumbling, startles and he trips over a broken trunk, fumbles and drops the inhaler.

He knelt in darkness as he searched for the inhaler when he heard the odd rumbling again. He peered into the darkness as the sound became increasing louder, then a saw a dozen deer soar past him. He hollers in terror as he jumps back to a side from the deer's path and fell down a trough.

After getting back up, he takes out his phone and uses the screen light to search for a way up, when he heard a growling, terrified he flashed the screen light towards the sound, he saw a dead, pale face with eyes looking at him. He screams terrified as he backs up and his phone gets thrown out. When he was about to take the phone, he heard a rustling again and saw a figure crouching in shadow. He froze in terror as the figure lurched towards him with its razor-sharp teeth and bit him.

Scott in terror pushed the figure and ran away. Blindly dashing through the forest, with branches tearing at his skin and clothes until he reached the road. When he reached the road, a car came hurling at him honking, he bends down, put his hand to his face on instincts to protect himself. Luckily, the driver swiftly swerved car away narrowly missing him and went into the dark without stopping. Scott looks up and saw he was safe but lifts up shirt as his abdomen stings with pain and saw a distinct indentation of a bite on his lower abdomen. When he was thinking what kind of mess, he has landed himself in, he heard a distinct howling coming up from deep in the woods as he fell in trance, then he shivered as he felt cold all over his body.

 WALKER HOUSE

Nick and his mom were bringing the food from the kitchen counter while Zach and his father were sitting at the table, one reading newspaper while another playing with his phone.

"Phone's off and put away the paper. It's time for dinner" Katherine said with a light scolding.

After putting the food on the table, they took the plates and started to take the food. As they were eating, Nick asked

"Dad, when will the car I ordered reach here?"

"By the time, you come back from school tomorrow, it will be delivered." Jon replied

 "Both of them." Nick inquired

 "Yes, son" Jon said

 Katherine scoffed and said

"Since you became rich, you have become a spendthrift. Why do you need two cars anyway?"

"Yes, brother how about you give one." Zach chimed in happily hoping he could instigate mom to get him one.

"No. first get a license." Nick said to his brother and said to his mom

"Well, one I will take for personal uses like a date and another for a trip. And why are you being grumpy about it? It's just money and I have plenty" Nick said smirking

"Tsk, showoff" Zach said irritated as he clicked his tongue

 Owowowowooooooooooo...… (distant howling)

Nick eyes changed to bright red as he looked in the direction of the howl. Katherine saw this and asked

"What happened, son?"

He turned back his eye color and said to his family grimly

"There is an Alpha here and he just howled to signal that he has bit his first Beta."

"Wow, Beacon hills is exciting." Zach said with stars shining in his eyes.

Nick glared at Zach and said

"Mom, Dad be careful at work. You too have higher probability of seeing the aftermaths of the Alpha. Don't forget to take the weapons."

"Don't worry, son. You should also be more careful. And if that beta is innocent and a good person, help him if you can." Katherine said with concern

"Okay, Mom." Nick replied solemnly thinking about what his Alpha did to him and then continues to say.

"Mom, I will go and find out who this Alpha is."

Katherine was about to say no fearing something will happen to his son but when she looked up she saw confidence and dominance in his son's bright red eyes as she sighed and said

"Be careful."

"Okay, Mom" Nick smiled and said

"Brother, Can I come?" Zach asked excited getting up.

"No." X3 said and Zach's excitement deflated like a balloon as he sat down.

Nick went out of the house and walked to the woods. After reaching ample distance, he removed his dress, put it a cover and jumped up to top of a tree. He placed the dress and looked up at the moon and slowly started to transform.

 A few seconds later…

Nick now fully transformed as a wolf, jumped down from the tree and dashed towards the source of the howling at super speed. After a few moments, he reached the place but didn't see any werewolf but still could hear footsteps of humans searching for something. He took a whiff of the scent, he found several scents of humans, animal and canines mixed in. In amidst that, he found three distinct smell, one excitement, one fear and last one anger with a mix of excitement.

He deduced the angry one to be the Alpha, and started to the follow the scent. As I went deeper, the intensity was increasing. Finally, when I saw the werewolf, it was standing on a cliff overlooking Beacon Hills.

Seeing an intruder in its space, the Alpha turned his head with his bright red eyes, animalistic face, sharp razor fangs and dashed at me. Seeing this Nick also dashed at him, they exchanged blows, both monsters punched each other, both devastating to each other and surrounding trees as they both crashed through the trees breaking them for a mile. Nick went through a mile while the Alpha a mile and a half. Angry, the Alpha dashed at Nick again, they clashed again, severely injuring each other, then got up and clashed again, fell, got up clashed again and fell.

The alpha exhausted with a slight fear stopped attacking while Nick equally exhausted and hurt a bit. The alpha looked at nick for a few seconds, scoffed at him and said in a demonic voice

"I don't know why you are here but don't stand in my path otherwise you will die."

Nick looked at him with a monstrous smile and smirked and said in wolfish voice

"I don't care what you to do in this town but I don't want large bodies of innocents in this town claiming to maimed by animals appearing on the news."

"Pah! Innocents. What do you care? We are Werewolves, superior to humans. Why does killing some disturb you?" Alpha replied disgusted

"Yes, we are superiors. But I am stronger than you. So, I am warning you, this is last time you bite someone. Next time, you will feel my wrath." Nick with a grin on his wolfish face

"PSsht! Let's see if you what it takes the next time." Alpha said with a demonic smile and dashed through the woods towards the city.

Nick also dashed after him but as he reached the streets, he lost the Alpha in the swarm of people. Disappointed, Nick went back home after confirming he was not followed. When he reached home, he told his family what happened and told them to be careful after which they all went to sleep.

BEACON HILLS HIGH SCHOOL, PARKING LOT

Scott pedals on his bike into the Beacon Hills High School parking lot amidst the swarms of students with a lacrosse stick on his back. As Scott pulls the bike onto the rack and lock it up, a pristine BMW with a license plate "JCKSN37", blazes into the lot and parks near the racks.

Jackson Whittemore, a good looking handsome teenage boy, who isn't fond of people that are not in his social or financial circle, opens the car door and bumps it into Scott.

"Dude… watch the paint job" Jackson says as if Scott is the one in wrong.

As Jackson took out his things from the car, he heard some students calling for him. So, he closed the door and glared at Scott, then went to meet his friends.

Meanwhile, a pristine Hyundai black SUV stopped in front of the school with license plate 'JON72'. Nick and his brother Zach got out from the vehicle said 'bye' to their father and walked to the campus. While they were walking, they saw two boys together one lifting his right side of the shirt and other looking at it. Nick and Zach gave knowing look and walked towards them when he heard one of them say

"It was too dark to see much but I am sure it was a wolf"

"A wolf bit you? No, not a chance."

Scott slings his backpack over his shoulder again and heads toward the double door entrance of the school with Stiles while Nick and Zach followed them, listening to their conversation.

"I heard a wolf howling." Scott said

"No, you didn't." Stiles said with an expression that it is a matter of fact

"What do you mean "No, I didn't?" How do you know what I heard?" Scott scoffs and asks suspiciously

"California doesn't have wolves. Not for the last sixty years." Stiles says to his friend thinking why did I have an idiot as a friend.

Meanwhile, Zach and Nick who were listening had gap to interrupt the conversation as Nick steps in and says

"But wolves are highly migratory, so they can wander into California."

Scott and Stiles turn towards him and looks at him and couldn't remember who he was as Stiles asks

"Who are you? Do we know you?"

"Oh me? I just transferred here. I couldn't help overhear you talking. Sorry if I am rude."

"It's okay, Scott McCall, a sophomore and this my best friend, Stiles." Scott says

"Nicholas Walker but you can call me Nick, a sophomore and this is my brother Zachary walker, a freshman." Nick replied

"So, you said something about wolf being migratory." Stiles asked

"Yes, like you said, California doesn't have wolf for the past 60 years but since they are migratory, one could have wandered off here or maybe even an whole pack of them." Nick said

"Yeah, okay fine, maybe a wolf bit you." Stiles said not refuting"Fine, if you don't believe me then it's fine but then you wouldn't believe if I told you I found the body." Scott said excitedly

"You what? Are you kidding me?" Stiles asked excited

 "What body?" Nick asked

"A female, twenties. (pauses for a second) Why are you still here? If you stay with us, you will get nerded by us." Stiles said mocking

"Oh, maybe it's the opposite, you will become the cool kids by staying with me." Nick smirked at them and said

 "Yeah, you wish" Stiles scoffed.

"What do you think, friends? I am new to town. Maybe show how teenagers spent time in Beacon Hills."

"Okay." Scott and Stiles said happily

"Zach, then you go to admission and find your class. I will meet at after school."

"Bye brother, Stiles, Scott" Zach said as he ran into the school.

"Now, help me, how do I find Lydia martin?" Nick asked Stiles and Scott

"There she is, the best thing that happened to this town before finding this dead body." Stiles rambles off pointing at her star struck.

Seeing Lydia coming our way, I spoke to her

"Hi, you are Lydia, right? I am Nicholas Walker, the school said you are my guide."

"Oh, hey handsome." Lydia turns the sound and smiles at Nick twirling her hair giving flirtatious looks without responding.

"Nicholas walker." Nick said a second time, extending his hand.

"Lydia martin, oh the new student, follow me." She said snapping back from her dreamy state.

"Hey, Lydia, how are you? You look—" Stiles try to praise Lydia but she doesn't pay any mind to him while Nick and Scott laugh.

"Bye then, I will meet you during lunch break." Nick said as he followed Lydia.

"You're the cause of this you know, I am nerd by association I have been scarlet-nerded by you" Stiles blames Scott playfully as they walk into school.

Nick followed Lydia into the corridor as she led him into the admission office. From there, Nick got his timetable which Lydia took before he could read. Lydia looked at timetable and told him where his classes are and the details to pay attention. As they were walking, she asked

"Which sports do you play?"

"I don't play anything." Nick replied

"Well, with your figure, I thought-- then you could try out for lacrosse. There is a tryout today evening. My boyfriend is the team captain. I can put in word" Lydia offered

 "Okay" Nick said

"Here, this is your first class- English." Lydia said and walked away but she suddenly stops and turns back to ask

"Oh, I forgot to ask, there is a party this Friday night. Do you want to come?"

"Okay, text me the address." Nick said

"But I don't have your number" Lydia asked

Nick gives his number to Lydia and then walks into his class while Lydia gives a deep flirtatious look and then walks away.

BEACON HILLS HIGH SCHOOL- ENGLISH CLASSROOM

Stiles sits next to Scott while Nick sits behind Stiles. Mr. Curtis walks in, takes a chalk and wrights on the board.

"As you all know, there was indeed a body found in the woods last night. I'm sure your eager little minds are coming up with various macabre scenarios as to how it happened but I've been told that the police have a suspect in custody." Mr. Curtis says as Scott looks to Stiles who shrugs, news to him as well.

Mr. Curtis continues while writing "Which means your undivided attention can be given to the syllabus outlining the semester on your desks. Read it now. And by read I don't mean skim."

The students begin reading. And then seemingly out of nowhere a cell phone ring. Scott glances up. The other students quietly read the syllabus. Scott appears to be the only one noticing the ringing. Gazing about, he can't seem to find the source until his eyes fall on the windows of the classroom.

As he peers outside the window towards the quad, Scott sees Allison Argent, Sixteen and radiating with an innocent beauty. When she puts a cell phone to her ear, it becomes obvious that, despite the closed windows and the distance, this is the ringing Scott is somehow able to hear but what astonished him is that he can even hear the voice of the caller also.

"Mom, three calls on my first day is a little overdoing it." Allison says to her mom frustrated.

"Just making sure you're okay and you've got everything you need." Mrs. Argents says with concern and care in her tone as Allison digs through her bag to check again, becoming alarmed.

"Everything except a pen. Oh my god, I didn't actually forget a pen." Allison says panicking

"Don't panic. I'm sure you can borrow one from another student." Mrs. Argent comforts her

"Okay, okay, I gotta' go. Love ya." Allison replies

Unable to take his eyes off the extraordinary girl, Scott watches the school's principal join her on the steps.

"Sorry to keep you waiting." Principal says kindly

The principal guides her across the quad, their conversation becoming clearer to Scott with every step.

"So, you were saying San Francisco, isn't where you grew up?" principle continues the conversation

"No, but we stayed for more than a year which is unusual in my family. We kind of bounce around a lot because of my dad's work." Allison replies to the principal

Even when Allison and the principal disappear from view, Scott hears the clatter of the building door opening, the clicking of their heels on the tile floor of the hall.

"Well, hopefully, Beacon Hills is your last stop for a while." Principal says kindly

Scott follows their conversation until the door opens, causing the rest of the class along with him to look up.

"Class, this is our new student Allison Argent. Please do your best to make her feel welcome." Principal introduces her to the class

Scott barely breathes as Allison heads for the one empty desk left in the room which is right behind him. She puts her notebook down, then glances up to see Scott turned toward her, holding out a pen. With a relieved but curious smile, she takes it from him and says

"Thanks."

Scott gives her a nod and turns around. Nick seeing all this, smiles, confirming Scott is the new beta in this town. He turns to Allison and says

"Hey, I am also new to this town. Where are you from?"

 "San Francisco. You?" Allison replies

 "New York" Nick replies

"You? New kid, if you don't want to listen to class, then get out." Mr. Curtis says as he throws a chalk at Nick.

The chalk hit his head and the students all laughed at his misfortune while Nick

Replied "I am sorry, Mr. Curtis."

Satisfied with my answer, Mr. Curtis continued his class.

 SCHOOL CORRIDOR

Scott, at his locker notices Allison just down the corridor. They connect eyes. She starts to smile, recognizing the cute guy who gave her the pen. But then Lydia Martin swoops in front of her. A girl opens the locker next to hers and books spill out. As Allison kneels down to help pick up the girl's books, Allison eyes find Scott's eyes. Somehow just this look from her seems to return his hearing back to normal. She starts to smile back, recognizing him. But then as she stands, Lydia swoops in front of her again.

"That jacket is absolutely killer. Where did you get it?" Lydia says excited

"My mom was a buyer for a boutique back in San Francisco." Allison replied

"And you are my new best friend." Lydia says taking Allison by the arm, she guides her to a clique gathering at the end of the hall where Jackson, Lydia's boyfriend, tries to wrap his arm around her. She shrugs him off to continue talking to Allison.

Rebecca Harlowe, better known as Harley comes from an adjacent hall to find Scott dialing in the combo on his own locker. He keeps steals glances back, however Allison doesn't look back.

"Can someone tell me how new girl is here all of five minutes and she's already hanging with Lydia's crowd?" Harley spoke with jealousy

"Because she's hot. Beautiful people herd together." Stiles said mesmerized by her while he steps up to open his own locker next to Scott's.

"Is that why Lydia isn't herding with you?" Harley mocked stiles

"Lydia's a long-t e r m project, okay? And trust me, I've got all the patience in the world for a high yield investment like her." Stiles said

"Well, I don't think new girl's that pretty. Scott, you think she's pretty? Scott?" Harley asks

He doesn't even blink, attention consumed by Allison.

"I'd take that as a yes." Stiles said smirking

Head cocked slightly, Scott tunes in the conversation from the other end of the corridor, voices coming into focus.

"So, this weekend there is a party." Lydia says

"A party?" Allison asks

"Yeah, Friday night. You should come." Jackson says eyeing her

"Uh, I can't. It's family night this Friday. But thanks for asking" Allison replies

Scott smiles at that while stiles and Harley where arguing.

"You sure? I mean everyone's going after the scrimmage." Jackson asks

"You mean like football." Allison asks

"Football's like a joke in beacon. The sport here is lacrosse." Jackson laughs says and then he continues

"We have won state championship for the past three years."

"Because of a certain team captain" Lydia praises as they cuddle

"Well, we have practice in a few minutes." Jackson said and continues

"That is, if you don't have anywhere else…"

"Well I was going to…" Allison says

"Perfect. You're coming" Lydia cuts her in the middle and says as he pulls her by her hand

As Allison was pulled away by Lydia, she glances at Scott.

 LACROSSE FIELD

A whistle blows. The lacrosse team's assistant coach gathers the team on the field, Stiles and Scott lagging behind.

"But if you play, I'll have no one to talk to on the bench. You really gonna' do that to your best friend?" Stiles asks sadly.

"I can't sit out again. My whole life is sitting on the sidelines. This season, I make first line." Scott replies back

 "Hey, guys" Nick greets them.

"Hey, Nick, are you planning to tryout?" Stiles asked confused at his arrival

"Yes, Lydia recommended and I thought I will try out for fun." Nick replied as he starts to check his equipment and safety pads.

Nick and Scott both headed for the field together, Scott pauses to notice Lydia climbing the bleachers. And stepping right behind her... was Allison. Nick noticed and teased him

"Scott, did you fall in love with the new girl?"

Scott blushed and before he could answer, the coach shouted

"McCall, you are in the goal."

Scott turns to coach Bobby Finstock, a man with little comprehension of the difficulties of teenage life. He tosses Scott a bundle of goalie equipment.

"But I've never played goal." Scott replies in shock

"I know. Scoring some shots will give the boys a confidence boost. It's a first day back thing. Get them energized, jazzed up." Coach replies not concerned about Scott's problems

"What about me?" Scott asks shocked and sad about being used like that

"Try not to take any in the face." Coach says nonchalantly laughing and then continues looking at me

"And you? What is your name? Have you ever played lacrosse or hockey or any sports?" coach asked

"Nicholas Walker. No, coach." Nick replied

Coach looks at me weirdly for a second and says sarcastically

"You take the first shot. Let me see. You know how to throw a ball into the net, right?"

 "Okay, coach." Nick replied

Scotts steps in front of the net with a goalie stick, he inadvertently glances to the bleachers where Allison watches the tryouts with Lydia, his ears focusing on them.

"Do you know him?" Allison asks

"Him? I'm not sure who he is. Why?" Lydia replies

"Nothing, He's in my English class." Allison says

Scott looks up, shocked to hear Allison was asking about him. But with his hearing momentarily turned up, he flinches at the whistle blow, sound ringing through his skull.

Nick charges forward with stick as the assistant coach passes the ball to him. Catching it with his stick, he whips his stick forward, hurling the ball toward the goal. Still reeling from the whistle, Scott looks up too late to see the ball soaring toward him. It bounces right off his helmet and above the net.

The team laughs wickedly. Even the coach snickers and then turned his head to the other side as he said to Nick

"Walker, I asked you to throw the ball into the Net and not at his face. Try again"

Hearing this, Nick rubs his head awkwardly and positions himself again while Scott's cheeks were burning under his mask due to their laughter, he steadies himself to receive the throw again. When the whistle blows again, he's ready. The assistant coach passes the ball to the Nick, who catches it and fires it right at the Scott.

Scott moves startlingly fast, almost an instantaneous reaction. Then he notices the players staring at him with a mixture of disappointment and surprise. Scott looked into his stick and sees he h a s the ball. He caught it. Nick moves back to make way for the other player but a distinct mischievous smirk on his face.

When the next player takes the shot, Scott catches the ball again. And then again. And again. Nothing can get past him.

In the bleacher's, Allison and Lydia sit forward.

"He seems like he's pretty good." Allison said

"Very good." Lydia says surprised at the Scott.

Intrigued, Lydia keeps her gaze locked on Scott who now stands with a far more confident posture. Until, he sees that Jackson is next in line. Glaring at Scott, he practically strangles the lacrosse stick with his gloves gritting his teeth in anger.

"Oh god..." Scott says seeing Jackson looking at him like he was going to eat him.

The assistant coach tosses the ball up. Jackson dashes forward, catching the ball and spinning around to fire it at the goal. But Scott moves with supernatural precision.

The ball lands right in the pocket of the goalie stick.

Stiles lets out a holler, jumping up on the bench. In the bleachers, Lydia stands and gives a whoop as well causing Jackson to throw a look at her. She returns his glare with a sly smile, a warning to step up his game.

Grinning, Scott gives the goalie stick a whirl, spinning it with a flick of his wrist and sending the ball soaring right into the pocket of the stunned assistant coach's stick.

 BEACON HILLS WOODS

In the woods, Scott retraces his steps from last night with Stiles following behind him.

"I don't know what it was. I mean I felt like I had all the time in the world to catch the ball. And that's not the only weird thing. I mean I can hear stuff I shouldn't be able to hear. And I can smell things." Scott said

"Smell things? Like what?" Stiles asks intrigued

"Like the mint mojito gum in your pocket." Scott stops and took a whiff to say

"I don't have any..." Stiles fumbles to search his pockets and p u l l s out a mint-covered piece of wrapped gum and continues saying

"All this started with a bite?"

"What if it's an infection? What if my body is flooding with adrenaline before I fall into shock? I knew I should have gone to the ER." Scott says scared

"I've actually heard of this. It's a specific kind of infection." Stiles replies

"Are you serious?" Scott asks doubtfully

"All the symptoms add up. I think it's called... Lycanthropy." Stiles says seriously holding back his laughter

"What's that? Is it bad? It sounds bad." Scott asks in a worried tone

"It is. But only once a month." Stiles says in a mocking tone laughing internally

"Once a month?" Scott asks confused

"On the night of a full moon." Stiles says snickering

Scott looks at him. And then he gets it and says in displeased tone

"You are an ass"

"Hey, you're the one who heard a wolf howling." Stiles said laughing out loud

"There could be something seriously wrong with me." Scott says distressed

"I know! You're a werewolf!" Scott gave him a displeased look and continues to walk while stiles stops joking and continues to say

"Okay, obviously, I'm kidding. But if you see me in shop a f t e r class melting down all the silver I could find, it's because Friday's a full moon." Stiles said in a comforting and supporting tone.

"I swear this was it. The body was here. The deer came running, I dropped my inhaler..." Scott glances around not listening to him and says in a frustrated tone

"Maybe the killer moved the body." Stiles says

"If he did, I hope he left my inhaler. Those things are like eighty bucks." Scott said

While Stiles tries to taps him on the shoulder, bringing his attention to a figure standing just a few yards away.

 Derek hale. Nineteen and unquestionably handsome, a s q u a r e j a w , he has a rougher look than the cleanly shaven beacon hills boys.

"What are you doing here?" Derek asks gruffly

Both Scott and Stiles are too stunned to speak at first.

"This is private property." Derek continues displeased at them not giving an answer

"Sorry, we didn't know." Stiles apologizes

Derek stares at Scott, barely noticing stiles.

"We were just looking for something. Forget it. Sorry to bother you." Scott says and they were turning to go, Derek tosses an object to Scott. His inhaler. When he looks up, Derek is already walking away.

"Come on. I have to get to work." Scott said

"Dude, that was Derek Hale. You remember, right? He's only a few years older than us." Stiles said surprised and intrigued

 "Remember what?" Scott asks confused

"His family. They all burned to death in a fire like ten years ago. I remember the cops pulling him out of class to tell him." Stiles said still reeling in from his shock and scoffs

"I wonder what he's doing back." Scott asks as he eyes the inhaler in his hand, closing his fist over it.

 WALKER HOUSE

Nick and Zach came back from school and saw their parents standing at the door with a smile. When the brothers saw their parents, they instantly understood that the car has been delivered. He quickly went up to when Katherine held up the keys and said

"Will you drive safe?"

"Yes, Mom." Nick said impatiently wanting to try it out.

Katherine smiled and gave the car keys and said to Jon amused

"What is it with you boys and their cars?" watching the boys admiring the car and excitedly getting in the car.

"Well, it's our eternal love, darling" Jon said smiling, hugged her by the waist and kissed on the forehead.

A pristine Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye, with license plate 'NICK93' was in the driveway of the Walker house. Nick started the car, listening the sound of engine roaring, excited he drove away. With each gear shift, speed and adrenaline was rapidly increasing for the brothers, after driving the car around the town and maybe getting a speeding ticket. they came back. Nick parked the car and said to his parents

"Let's go out today to celebrate. It's my right."

"Okay." Katherine and Jon said smiling happily

In the evening, the family four got in the new wrangler that Nick bought and went out. Nick was the one who drove, he drove steadily, stark contrast to, how he drove earlier which earned him some mocking and teasing from Zach.

After spending the evening enjoying the town, they stopped at a good restaurant to have dinner, while having dinner Katherine and Jon asked about school and if they made any friends. Zach talked about his classes, sadly except for some acquaintances, he didn't gain any foothold in friends but Nick had better luck in this than his brother as he told about the friends, he made

"Scott, Stiles, Lydia and Allison."

"These are the ones I found, in Scott and stiles have been in deacon hills since young. Scott's mother works in the hospital, Melissa McCall and Stiles father is the deputy, Noah Stilinski, in the BHPD. While Allison is new transfer like us. She is from San Francisco. And Lydia she is also from here."

"Melissa, I met, she is a good nurse, best in the hospital so far." Katherine said

"It is said that Deputy Stilinski is the candidate for next Sheriff but his is a troublemaker according to my colleagues." Jon also chimed in

"Tell me about the girls. Did you like either one of them?" Katherine asked with a gossipy face

"No, mom, they are both are good and hot. But Lydia has a boyfriend and Scott likes Allison. And I don't even feel anything for them." Nick said

"And I also found the beta." Nick continues

"Who is it?" Jon asked

"It's Scott. He hasn't realized it yet, what the bite has done to his body. But his powers are starting to show itself." Nick replied

"Poor kid, does his mother know?" Katherine sympathized

"I don't think so" Nick replied

"Help him if you can nick." Jon said

"Hmm… but dad the alpha who bit him is planning something and I don't want to be his enemy until he crosses me or my bottom-line." Nick hmphed

"Well, you can teach him how to control the urges, right?" Jon asked

"Okay, dad" Nick said after thinking about it for a few seconds

"Oh, Mom I joined the lacrosse team." Nick said

"Wow, why didn't you say earlier?" Katherine said happily

"How do you play lacrosse?" Jon asked

"Well, it's like hockey with nets at the end of the stick instead of a flat surface and we catch, pass or score using this net." Nick replied

"Oh… well we will come to cheer you on. When is the next game?" Katherine said excited

"Mom, I haven't been selected to the team yet." Nick said awkwardly

"Oh, it's a matter of time, son. We trust you." Katherine said smiling and turned to Zach and asked

"What about you, Zach?"

"Lacrosse isn't interesting. I am thinking basketball but try out hasn't happened yet." Zach replied as he shrugged.

After the sumptuous dinner and having the rich man Nick play the bill, they returned home and went to bed after freshening up.

NIGHT, ANIMAL CLINIC

As thunder cracks in the sky above, Scott flips a closed sign on the door. With a few spare bandages in his hand, Scott approaches one of the mirrors and lifts up his shirt. He put his fingertips at the edge of the bandage a s he braces himself. Then with a swift force he rips it off. Sucking in a breath and shutting his eyes, he finds himself looking at--Nothing.

The bite has completely healed. There's not a mark on him. He lowers his shirt, slowly turning to his own reflection in the mirror and was shocked at the sight and then he forgets about it like any teenager as he went to do his work.

Scott walks backwards down a corridor hauling a huge bag of kitty litter. Setting it against the wall he takes out a set of keys and unlocks the door. He barely has set a foot inside the room when one of the cats, hisses in terror. The cages filled with cats come alive with activity--

The frightened felines suddenly bare their teeth, hissing and clawing frenetically at the cage doors. All of them focused on Scott, their backs arched, struck with absolute terror. Stunned, he staggers out of the room, slamming the door shut behind him.

Scott retreats into the waiting room with fear and confusion gripping him, he could still hear the pandemonium coming from inside when a sharp hammering spin him around.

 THUD THUD THUD

Standing outside and banging on the glass door with her fist was Allison, Rain-soaked. When he saw her crying and in a visible panic, he quickly opened the door and let her in.

In between the panic and crying, she tries to explain what happened.

"I didn't see it. I took my eyes off the road for like two seconds to switch songs on my Ipod and this dog--it came out of nowhere—" Allison said choking

"Okay, it's all right. Do you remember where it happened so I can send out animal control to find it?" Scott tries to calm her down and asked

"No. I mean yes, I know where I hit it. But the dog—" Allison tries to speak again still in panic and tears stammering.

"Right. Where is it?" Scott asks again softly

 "In my car." Allison said

Following Allison to her car while holding an umbrella, Scott opens the hatchback to reveal an injured stray dog. Hackles raised, the frightened dog is clearly in pain. Allison reaches in to pick him up but the dog snaps at her. She flinches back, stepping right into Scott's arms.

"You okay?" Scott asks with concern

She nods, looking up at Scott behind her, his hands on her forearms, fingers lightly touching her soft skin.

"He's just frightened." Scott cough awkwardly and says

"That makes two of us." Allison says mocking at herself

"Let me see if I have better luck." Scott says as he steps forward giving her the umbrella.

"Careful." She says taking the umbrella from him

As he connects eyes with the dog, something happens... Sound drops out around him, all except for the dog's nervous panting. Then its harsh gasps begin to ease as some sort of primal communication occurs between them. For the briefest of moment, his eyes take on a strangely yellow tint, like that of a wolf. In response, the dog lowers its body submissively, yielding to the obviously dominant animal.

With Allison watching in amazement, Scott gathers the dog into his arms and carries him into the vet's office. Inside the clinic, Scott gently lays the injured animal down on the examining table. Allison stays back, watching him inspect the dog while petting it, doing an expert job of calming it.

"I think his leg is broken. I've seen the doctor do plenty of splints. I could try it myself and give him a painkiller for now." Scott suggests to her

Allison steals glances at him, looking on with admiration as he works. But Scott doesn't notice, terrified to glance at the beautiful girl. When he finally does look up, he sees she's hugging herself, soaked and obviously freezing.

"I have a t-shirt in my bag." Scott offered

"Oh, I don't want to trouble you." Allison tries to refuse as she didn't want trouble him.

But Scott is already reaching into his bag for the shirt. Allison takes it with a smile and steps into the hall for privacy. As she's pulling the wet shirt off, Scott catches sight of her bare back. Quickly looking away, he notices the dog staring up at him.

"What? I didn't see anything." Scott whispered with some guilt

The dog doesn't look convinced. Allison comes back into the room, now wearing his shirt and no longer shivering.

"Thanks for doing this. I feel really stupid." Allison says gratefully

 "How come?" Scott asked

"I don't know. For freaking out like a total girl." Allison said

"You are a girl". Scott said with a light chuckle

"I freaked out like a girly girl. And I'm not a girly girl." Allison replies embarrassed

"What kind of girl are you?" Scott asks interested in her explanation

"Tougher than that. At least I thought I was." Allison said

"I'd be freaked out too. In fact, I'd probably cry. And not like a man. I'd cry like the girliest girl. It would be pathetic." Scott said to make her feel less embarrassed

 "Yeah, right." Allison chuckles softly

Scott finishes wrapping the dog's leg.

"So, it looks like he's going to live. And I'm pretty sure he'll even let you pet him if you want." Scott suggested to her

"I don't think so." Allison said not convinced

"Come on. You don't want him to sue. This breed is very litigious." Scott seriously suggested her

Allison approaches, tentatively reaching out to stroke the dog's neck. Calm now, the dog even licks her hand.

"See? He likes you." Scott said smiling

He watches Allison as she petted the dog, unable to take his eyes off her.

"What?" Allison asked noticing his stare

"Sorry. You have an eyelash on your cheek." Scott embarrassed being caught tries to divert her.

"Oh. From the crying." Allison said as she wipes her cheek using the back of a hand. But the lash is still there. Scott shakes his head. She tries again. Still there. So, Scott reaches with his thumb to brush the lash from her cheek.

"Thanks." Allison said shyly as Scott puts his hands down slowly and she gets ready to go as it became awkward. Scott follows Allison to her car. As she opens the door, he finally gathers his courage--

"Um... I was wondering--I mean--is it really family night on Friday or do you think maybe you'd like to go to that party with me?" Scott asks nervously

She throws him a curious look as she thought 'How did he know I said that?'

"Family night was a total lie." Allison laughs and says

"So, is that a yes? You'll go?" Scott asks as his heart stirred.

 "Definitely yes" Allison says excited.

McCall house

Scott falls back onto his bed, his head hitting the pillow. Clearly exhausted, he nevertheless wears a huge grin on his face. His eyelids slowly close as he falls asleep instantly. At night he slowly turns over on his side, rolling over and strangely onto. A bed of wet leaves, causing him to wake up suddenly and discover he's no longer in bed.

Jerking up, Scott knocks his head against something. He reaches up with his hands, he touches a hard surface, confused he looks up, he sees rock.

Now fully awake and very alarmed, Scott, clothed only his boxers, scrambles out from beneath a cave-like overhang. Glancing about in breathless shock, he discovers he's sleepwalked all the way out into the middle of the woods.

Scott staggers out of the cave-like overhang and stands in the fog-laden woods, shivering.

He turns, trying to see just where he was and then with his head cocked, he listens to the sounds around him as he holds his breath. As his heartbeat rises, he takes a barefooted step back. Then he notices that there's not a sound of life in the woods. Until he saw, something moves. In the fog, only a few yards away. He turns around, peering into the woods. But leaves and twisting tree branches are all that move in the breeze.

Half-naked and very cold now, Scott slowly backs away. He keeps glancing to each side as he starts to walk. Moving faster and faster, until he's jogging and then running. Hurtling into the fog and the woods, he begins to notice-- a shadow. Moving through the woods, keeping pace with him.

Scared, he starts running faster, that strange loping silhouette moves just as fast as him. And then he can saw its eyes--like glowing red lights in the fog. The thing suddenly crosses behind him, a dark shape leaping from one side of him to the next, diving out of and then back into the fog.

Terrified, he started running faster and faster while glancing to his side to see the strange silhouette racing with him, Scott seems to not merely be running but moving with almost supernatural speed until finally the shadow d e l i b e r a t e l y slows, letting him get ahead. But Scott doesn't notice it as he keeps running faster and faster, the world around him blurring until his feet land on a low wooded fence and suddenly he's soaring into the air and falls into water.

Scott thrashes in freezing cold water, bursting to the surface to find himself in a pool. Gasping for breath, he twists around in the water to find the owner of the house holding a garden hose and staring at him.

"Uh... Good morning." Scott said awkwardly and the owner nods with a mystified smile.

 BEACON HILS SCHOOL

In an otherwise empty corridor, Scott wearing his lacrosse gear shoves his bag into his locker and slams it shut. He turns to find himself staring right at Jackson.

"All right, little man, how about you tell me where you're getting your juice?" Jackson asks provokingly

 "What?" Scott asks confused

"Where. Are. You. Getting your juice?" Jackson asks irritated

"My mom does all the grocery shopping." Scott says bewildered

Jackson stares at him for a moment as if trying to decide whether the kid is screwing with him or not.

"Listen, McCall, you're going to tell me what it is and who you're buying from. Because there's no way in hell you're kicking ass like that on the field without some sort of chemical boost." Jackson said again seriously

"You mean steroids? Are you on steroids?" Scott said shocked realizing what Jackson asked While Jackson grabs him, shoving him against the locker.

"What the hell's going on with you, McCall?" Scott asks angry and frustrated

Overwhelmed, Scott snaps at him, words coming out in a torrent releasing all his pent-up frustration.

"What's going on with me? You really want to know? So, would I. Because I can see, hear and smell things i shouldn't be able to see, hear or smell, do things that should be impossible, I'm sleepwalking three miles out into the middle of the woods and am pretty much convinced I'm going completely, totally out of my freaking mind."

"You think you're funny? I know you're hiding something. I'm going to find out what it is. I don't care how long it takes." Jackson said staring at him and then slams his fist against the locker, leaving Scott stunned as he heads out.

THUD

 LACROSSE FIELD

Amidst the players rushing the field, a very late Stiles finds Scott in the crowd and hurries toward him.

"Scott, wait up! You gotta' hear this." Stiles said panicked

"I'm playing the first elimination, stiles. Can't it wait?" Scott asked annoyed

"Just hold on. I overheard my dad on the phone. The fiber analysis came back from LA. They found animal hairs on the body from the woods." Stiles said worried

"Stiles, I have to go." Scott said in hurried tone

"You're not going to believe what the animal was—" Stiles said anxiously

But with his helmet on, Scott rushes onto the field, leaving stiles to say the next words to himself.

"It was a wolf." Stiles continues completely deflated

Nick standing nearby heard the conversation and said with a grin on his face

"See, I told wolf are migratory. Scott said a wolf bit him, right? Cheer up, Stiles, revel at awesomeness of having a werewolf as a friend." Nick patted Stiles shoulder as he laughed out loud.

Out on the field the coach shouts for the players to gather.

"All right, gather round..." coach said

Scott notices Allison at the bleachers with Lydia. She gives him a wave and a smile. He holds up a hand to wave back.

"You got a question, McCall?" coaches continue as he saw Scott raise his hand

 "What?" Scott asks befuddled

"You raised your hand." Coach said

"Oh, no I was just--nothing. Sorry." Scott said as he awkwardly put his hand down.

Nick raised his hand and coach snarked at him for interrupting and asked

 "What do you want, walker?"

"I want to try out for goalie." Nick said without minding his outburst

"Then pick a goalie stick, dumbass" coach replied and Nick nodded his head

"All right, you know how this goes. If you don't make the cut, you're most likely warming the bench the rest of the season. But make the cut and you play, your parents are proud, your girlfriend loves you, everything else is cream cheese.

Now show me what you got!" coach said shouting and cheering enthusiastically

The whistle blows and the game begin.

The pace is fast and brutal. When the ball gets passed to Scott, Jackson comes right after him. Lacrosse sticks smacking down on his gloves, Scott tumbles forward and slams to the ground, kicking up dirt around him.

As the whistle stops the play, Jackson looms over Scott. Glowering down at him, he grabs the ball while Scott clenching his teeth behind his mask pushes himself up off the ground. Coach gives the whistle a sharp blow again. The team gathers for the next play.

Scott and Jackson find themselves staring across from each other at the draw, crouched down with their sticks and the ball between them.

 "Set!" coach said

They tense, holding absolutely still. Then, at the whistle, Scott moves with shocking speed, grabbing the ball right out from under Jackson. At the benches, Stiles moves to the sidelines to watch at the edge of his seat. Scott charges the length of the field. Defense lashes out with their sticks, but he parries expertly.

Jackson catches up and makes a furious stab at stealing the ball. Then with defense converging on him but Scott cleverly twists his lacrosse stick around, keeping the ball safely in the pocket while he literally flips forward, leaping right over the heads of the defensive players. Feet landing on the turf, he whirls around, tossing the ball in an over the shoulder shot past the goalie, Right into the net.

The crowd sitting on the bleacher's roars with cheering, Allison on her feet along with everyone else. Everyone except Stiles, as he sits biting at the edge of his gloves.

"McCall, get over here!" coach yelled

He trots over to the coach. All eyes are on him, including someone watching from behind a chain link fence... Derek.

"What in the name of god was that? This is a lacrosse field. Are you trying out for the gymnastics team?" coach asked bewildered

 "No, coach." Scott replied

"Then what the hell was that?" coach questioned again.

"I don't know. I was just trying to make the shot." Scott said uncertainly

"Well, you made the shot. And guess what? You're starting, McCall. You just made first line." Coach said happily as cheers erupt around him.

As team members slap him on the back and knock his helmet with their gloves, a deliriously happy Scott doesn't even notice Jackson's furious stare. Or Stiles confused, tensed and watching with a very worried look. Or Nick with a mysterious smile etched on his face as he looked alternatively between Derek and Scott.

 STILINSKI HOUSE

Sounds fingers click furiously over a keyboard came from a room.

TAP TAP TAP…

Eyes locked on his laptop, Stiles bounces from one web page to the next. Words and images pop up on the screen, Wolfsbane, silver bullets, Lycaon, aconite, drawings of werewolves in different forms, a purple flower with the word wolfsbane underneath. As his room darkens under the setting sun, an increasingly panicked stiles watches a sheet of paper come out of his printer.

The printout shows a detailed wood carving of a medieval hunter standing over the body of a werewolf, aiming a crossbow at the creature. He pulls the page out, staring at it with a look of escalating fear when someone knocks on the door. Stiles leaps out of his chair in horror. He rushes to the door, unlocking it to find Scott standing out in the hall.

"Get in. You have to see this. I've been reading. Websites, books, all this information." Stiles said hurriedly and pacing in the room

As Scott takes off his jacket, Stiles starts to grab printouts from his desk.

"How much Adderall have you had?" Scott asks amused

"A lot. Doesn't matter. Just listen." Stiles said as it doesn't matter to him

"Is this about the body? Did they find who did it?" Scott asks worried

"No, they're still questioning people. Even Derek Hale—" Stiles replies

"The guy from the woods—" Scott cuts in and asks

"Yeah, but that's not it." Stiles said irked

"What then?" Scott asked sitting on his bed

"Remember the joke the other day? Not a joke anymore.

The wolf. The bite in the woods. I started doing all this reading and-- do you even know why a wolf howl?" Stiles said worried and uneasy

 "Should I?" Scott asks confused

"It's a signal. When a wolf is alone it howls to signal its location to the rest of the pack. So, if you heard it howling that mean there's others. Maybe a whole pack of them." Stiles continues with a tense and worried voice

"A pack of wolves?" Scott asked stunned

 "No. Werewolves." Stiles said seriously

"You're seriously wasting my time with this? You know, I'm picking Allison up in an hour." Scott stood up with a displeased tone

"I saw you on the field, Scott. What you did wasn't just amazing. It was impossible." Stiles said trying to make Scott understand the gravity of the situation

"So, I made a good shot." Scott said nonchalantly

"No, you made an incredible shot. The way you moved--the speed, your reflexes--people can't suddenly do that overnight. And then there's the hearing, the senses, and don't think I haven't noticed you don't need your inhaler anymore. You haven't used it since that night." Stiles said alarmed

"I can't think about this now. We'll talk tomorrow, okay?" Scott said not want to think about it

"Tomorrow? Don't you get it? The full moon is tonight." Stiles said baffled

"What are you trying to do? I just made first line on the team. I have a date with a girl I can't believe wants to go out with me. Everything in my life is somehow perfect. Why are you trying to ruin it?" Scott said irked and sullen tone

"I'm trying to help. With the full moon it's going to be too hard to resist and there's no going back. You're cursed, Scott. And it's not only that the moon causes you to change, it's also when your bloodlust will be at its peak." Stiles said trying to help him

 "Bloodlust?" Scott asks angrily

"Your urge to kill." Stiles said

"I'm already starting to have an urge to kill, Stiles." Scott said snapping

"You need to hear this. The change can be caused by anger or anything that raises your pulse. And I've never seen anyone raise your pulse like Allison does. You have to call her and cancel the date." Stiles said without minding Scott confession as he grabs Scott's jacket, pulling the cell phone out.

"What are you doing? Give me that." Scott asks his anger increasing every passing moment.

"I'm just finding her number—" Stiles continues without noticing Scott changing mood

"Give it to me." Scott said in a gruff and heavy voice as he yanks the phone out of Stiles' hand and shoves him against the wall.

Scott punches him angrily but pulls back before striking him, instead he lashes out at the desk chair sending it flying across the room, tossed like it weighed nothing. Then, shaking with anger, he gazes up.

"I didn't mean to do that." Scott said softly feeling sorry. He starts to help stiles up, but his friend flinches back.

"I'm sorry. Really, I didn't mean it. I have to go. I have to get ready for the party.

I'm sorry." Scott said remorseful as he grabs his jacket, Scott hurries out.

Still shaken from the events that just happened, Stiles gradually stands. He slowly picks up the desk chair, putting it back. But then he pauses. With a shaky hand, he turns the chair around to reveal 'Claw marks.'

 McCall HOUSE

Scott comes out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist when he saw a person standing at and startles. He saw his mom holding the car keys on her finger.

"Is this a party or a date?" Melissa asks smiling

"Maybe both." Scott said shyly as he reaches for the keys, but she pulls back.

"And her name is?" Melissa continues with a smile

"Allison." Scott said with a sheepish smile on his face

Melissa hands him the keys as she said

"We don't need to have a talk, do we?"

"Mom, I'm not having the safe sex talk with you." Scott said perturbed

"I meant about keeping the tank full. Give me those back." She said freaked out and she snatches the keys back from Scott.

"Come on, mom, nothing's going to happen." Scott begs to get back the keys

"You bet your ass nothing's going to happen. I am not going to be on some reality show with a sixteen-year-old pregnant girl." Melissa said angrily

"I got it, mom." Scott gives her assurances to her incessant nagging.

No less than a hundred yards away but still within sight of the house, a dark figure stands next to the open door of a black dodge challenger, with his head cocked to the side listening, Derek hale.

Scott pulls up to the curb outside Allison's house. He keeps taking deep breaths to calm himself. He pulls his inhaler out, shakes it up, looks at it and then tosses it in the back.

Finally, the front door of the house opens and Allison steps out. Looking absolutely stunning under the glow of the streetlights, she approaches the car while pushing a strand of hair from her eyes.

Suddenly realizing he's still in the car with his mouth hanging open, Scott scrambles to get out and open the door for her.

Scott starts the car and drive away. in the car, he and Allison sit in silence, absolute and agonizing silence for a few moments and then Allison asks

"Is it okay if I turn on the radio?"

 "Uh, yes. But you can't.

Sorry, it's broken. We've been meaning to get it fixed." Scott says with an awkward laugh

"No worries. You mind if I put on some music anyway?" Allison said.

Now it's Scott's turn to give a confused look. But Allison has her phone out and waves to him and he gives a smile. She puts on a music, turns the volume up and puts it on speaker.

"Nice taste in music." Scott said in a surprised tone

"What? You think all girls listen to is lady gaga?" Allison scoffs and asks

"I listen to lady gaga." Scott murmurs with a fake hurt look

She does a double take and seeing that he's serious, she laughs which eased the atmosphere in the car and says

 "So, do I."

She puts her hand over his on the middle console, their fingers intertwining. Scott tries to hide his smile to play it cool. But he can't. For just a moment, everything is absolutely perfect.

 MARTIN HOUSE

Car doors open on all sides. Teenagers pour out from range rovers and BMW's outside the music rattled windows of Lydia Martin's house.

 Nick's POV

Nick drove his dodge challenger along with his brother to the party. He parked the car at the side and walked up to house and the door swings open with Lydia standing in a seductive way and said

"Welcome, handsome Walker."

"Hi, Lydia." I said as he walked in and continued to introduce

"Oh, this is my brother Zach, a freshman."

"Hi, Lydia" Zach said as he walks to the bar counter

"Zach drink moderately" I warn him but he shrugs and walks away.

"Lydia, you go and do your hosting, I will find my way." I said to her smiling and she gave a kiss and walked away.

I looked and could see teenagers drunk with hormones, some dancing, some passionately kissing, some feeling each other and smiled and walked to the counter to get a glass of beer.

As I was drinking and looking around, I saw a girl, brown, oval face, black hair chatting with her friends. I was immediately attracted to her, the way she smiled, it was like all of it was in small motion, defining her beauty more profoundly.

I took an extra glass of beer, walked up to car confidently and introduced myself

"Hi, Nicholas Walker, a sophomore at beacon hills." He offered the beer cup to her

"Oh, Hey, Elizabeth Oberon." As she took the cup with her.

"So, do you also go to Beacon Hills." I asked to start the conversation

"Yes, are you new to town? Haven't see you hear before?" she asked as she tucked a strand of her hair behind the ear.

"Oh, why do you ask that?" I asked intrigued

"Well, I would have noticed if a handsome guy was—" she blurted and then stopped as she was embarrassed.

"You think I am handsome" I said with a broad smile.

"Tiny bit handsome." She said as she teased me

"Only tiny bit, well tiny bit is also fine" I said happily.

"So, where are you from and why did you come to this town?"

"Well, I was born in New York and till 17 I have been there. Somethings happened last year, I needed a change of scenery."

 "17?"

"Oh, I took a gap last year."

 "So, what happened last year?"

It became awkward as I got stunned when she asked that and I then heard her say

"If it is a secret or something, you don't need to tell."

"It's not that, it was a bad time for me and my family and I don't want to put you in a position to listen to my problems."

"Then, it's okay" she said grumpily and turned to go

"Well, let's do this. Go on a date with me tomorrow and I will tell you all about it." I asked nervously

"Okay, I will come to pick you up at your home tomorrow at 10 AM."

"Brother, who is this beautiful lady" Zach came yelling and hugged my shoulder all drunk.

"You drank too much, Zach, mom will pull ear off."

"It's not like I am you brother with super powers" Zach starts to ramble.

I turned Elizabeth awkwardly and said

"Sorry. This is my brother Zach, a freshman at our school."

 "It's okay."

"Give your phone." I asked and she gave me the phone. I entered my number and gave back to her said

"Message me, your address. I am sorry our conversation got cut short but I have to take him home."

"It's okay, you should take him home, he looks really beat."

"Thanks, I had a great time, even if it was only for a tiny bit." I said smiling

"Me too." She also smiled and then I said bye as I picked up Zach and went to our car.

GENERAL POV

When Scott and Allison climb the steps to the house, the door swings open to reveal Lydia.

"Well, if it isn't the new star player with my new best friend. I was hoping you'd come." Lydia says in a surprised tone

Scott stares at her, dumbfounded. Then, trying to be as subtle as possible, he glances behind him. No one there. Lydia is, in fact, talking to him, he smiled and thought and then he heard continue

"Bar's by the pool"

She opens the door wide for both of them. Pleasantly stunned, Scott follows Allison inside the house.

Teenagers jam the outside of the house by the pool. Some already drunk, some high. Scott and Allison walk through the crowd. But Scott pauses when he hears--

A dog barking. A huge Rottweiler in the yard next door just beyond a chain link fence. And it's barking at Derek.

He stands behind the fire pit, staring straight at Scott. But then he shoots a look at the Rottweiler. The dog stops barking instantly. Eyes locked on the animal, Derek gives an almost imperceptible nod. Tail between its legs, the Rottweiler submissively lowers to a sitting position. Satisfied, Derek turns back to a surprised Scott.

"You okay?" Allison asked with concern

"What? Oh... Yeah. Fine." Scott said with a smile

When he looks back, Derek is gone. Suddenly, a movement catches his eye and he glances up to the roof of the pool house - where a shadowy figure seems to disappear just past the chimney. Scott steps back, trying to see if he actually did just witness Derek leaping twenty feet off the ground. But there's nothing there and when he turned back, he saw Allison is holding her hand out to him. Letting his fear go, Scott takes her hand with a smile.

In the crowd, they start dancing. As they come closer and closer, as Allison starts to smile back at him, the usually timid Scott begins to let go. His hands reach around her waist with the other teens pushing them closer, bodies pressed against each other, her cheek brushes lightly against his.

Then through the crowd, Scott notices Lydia dancing with Jackson, grinding close to him, her fingers wrapped around the back of his neck.

She presses her lips to Jackson's locking him in a passionate kiss. As he eagerly kisses her back, sliding his hands down past her waist, Lydia opens her eyes.

And looks right at Scott. Staring at him as Jackson goes at her neck. Unused to the attention of one beautiful girl, much less two, Scott finds himself dumbstruck until the bodies of the dancing teens push together to leave him alone with Allison again.

As Scott peers into her eyes, for a second it almost looks as though they're about to kiss. Then the music begins driving faster, starting to sound almost like the quickening of a heartbeat, Scott's heartbeat.

The sounds around him intensify. His fingers clench back, veins at the surface of his hands as he presses against the fabric of Allison's shirt. His upper lip pulls up momentarily to reveal a sharpened incisor.

Lights glaring in his eyes, Scott's breathing tightens, sweat at his temples. He steps back, pulling away from her and said

"Sorry... I... I'll be right back."

"Are you okay?" Allison asks worried but he hurries past her and into the house.

Teeth clenched, a sudden wave of pain slams Scott back against the wall, tremors shuddering through his body. Waiting in line for the bathroom, Harley notices him and asks.

 "Scott? You all right?"

But he doesn't answer, pushing through the crowd, trying to find an exit out of the house. Finally, shoving past people, he charges out the front door.

When Scott turns the corner, he glances up to the sky where the full moon shines brilliantly in the night.

His gasps now starting to sound like animalistic growls, he reaches his mother's car. Just getting the keys from his pocket seems an almost colossal effort. A second later, the car tears away from the curb as Allison comes out of Lydia's house, looking around, in time to see Scott's car driving away leaving her stranded alone at the party.

"Allison." Derek walks up behind her and calls

She turns to see Derek standing behind her as he continues to say.

 "I'm a friend of Scott's. My name's Derek."

He steps under the street light his deep black eyes, strangely hypnotic.

Stiles comes out of house, worried for his friend and sees Derek taking Allison home. Nick seeing all this happening as he loaded his brother into the car frowns and then walks to Stiles and asked

 "What happened to Scott, stiles?"

"I don't know" Stiles answers with a shifty eye.

 Sighing, Nick said

"You don't trust me. Give your phone." Stiles stunned gives his phone to Nick and Nick put down his phone number and said

"It's full moon tonight, Stiles. First full moon is the worst. You have my number, call me if you need my help." Giving the phone back, Nick turns and gets in the car and drove away. by the time, Stiles realized the meaning of the words nick said, Nick had already gone away. Frustrated, Stiles took his jeep and went to Scott's home.

 McCall house

Scott stumbles into his darkened room, slamming the door shut and flipping the lock. Sweat at his brow, Scott charges into the bathroom. He flips the cold-water knob on the shower, letting it pour over him. And then he notices something, his fingernails, seeming to tear free, bone-like claws pushing them out from the tips. Terrified, he stumbles out and to the mirror where he wipes away the steam to reveal rapidly growing fangs and two glowing, yellow eyes staring back at him.

 BANG BANG BANG

Someone pounds on the door to his room and Scott says growling.

"Go away!"

 "Scott, it's me." Stiles said

Hearing the panic in his friend's voice, he pulls himself up. He unlocks the door but only allows it to open an inch as Stiles continues to say.

"Let me in, Scott I can help—"

"No." Scott rejects him rudely with his eyes burning yellow, he stays hidden behind the door, face shrouded in darkness as stiles tries to peer through.

"Listen, you have to find Allison" Scott said nervously.

"She's fine. I saw her get a ride. She's totally fine." Stiles said trying to get in

"Stiles, I think I know who it is." Scott said

"Just let me in and we can talk." Stiles said continuing his effort to get in

"It's Derek. Derek Hale's the werewolf. He's the one who bit me. He's the one who killed the girl in the woods." Scott said without letting him in

 Stiles answers with shock

"Scott... Derek's the one who drove Allison from the party."

The weight of realization falling on him, Scott slams the door shut, locking it.

"Scott! Scott, wait—" Stiles said nervous and panicked

Through the open bedroom window, Scott launches himself out from the second story. The full moon looming in the sky behind him, his hands slam down on the wet pavement revealing that what we'd just seen was the reflection of his leaping figure in a puddle. Now, Scott's crouched figure slowly draws up to reveal he's no longer struggling against the transformation. He's given into it. Not a hulking beast but a leaner, more human monster. Both powerfully muscular and strangely seductive with gleaming yellow eyes, incisors reformed into fangs, ears tapered to points over thickened, wilder hair and fingernails grown to razor sharp claws.

The sixteen-year-old boy is gone. Scott is now a werewolf, charging down the driveway and then suddenly up, leaping to the branch of one tree, hurtling to the next and then finally into the dark of the woods. In search of Allison and the danger she faces.

 BEACON HILLS PRESERVE

Scott dashed down the winding roads and through twisting paths, flashes of moonlight briefly illuminate the outline of his figure moving impossibly fast.

The tree-shrouded entrance to the Beacon Hills preserve. Derek's black dodge challenger sits in the parking lot. Scott leaps down, landing right on the roof of the car. He peers through the windshield to see the vehicle is empty and then leaps off--

 ARGENT HOUSE

Stiles jeep skids to a halt just outside Allison's darkened house. A second later, he's on the steps ringing the bell. Stiles now pounding on the door, finally stops when lights come on inside. The door clicks open. Mrs. Argent looks out, confused as

Stiles said anxiously

"Hi. I'm a friend of Allison's and this is going to sound kind of crazy. Actually, really crazy. Actually, crazy doesn't even begin to—" Mrs. Argent interrupts and yells

 "Allison… It's for you"

Stiles opens his mouth to speak again but then stops, utterly shocked to see Allison coming down the stairs and she asks confused

 "What's up?"

As a distant howl can be heard, Stiles turns to the sound, a look of understanding coming over him. It's not Allison, Derek was after, 'It's Scott.'

Stiles quickly fumbles to take his phone and scrolls down and clicks on a name, Nicholas Walker.

RING RING RING

"Hello. Who is this?" Nick said

"It's me, Stiles." Stiles said

"Yeah, Stiles." Nick said

"Nick, help Scott, Derek is a werewolf and he lured Scott into the woods."

"Okay, I will take care of it." Nick said

"Okay, where should we –" Nick cuts the call before Stiles finishes.

 WOODS

Charging out from the shadows, Scott lands on a moonlit fallen tree. Clawed hands resting on the dead trunk, his breath comes out in steamy gasps. His crouched and silhouetted body twists around, trying to catch a scent in the air.

Racing into a clearing, Scott slows, looking up to find an unexpected and very strange sight, A jacket. 'It's Allison 's', he thought.

The jacket she was wearing at the party, now used to lure him here. Something moves in the shadows. Scott whirls around, launching himself up as Derek comes out of the shadows and drags him back to the ground. They almost look like dogs grappling as they go up and then slam back down to the leaves and brush below them.

Derek holds him down, one hand wrapped around Scott's throat. He's unchanged in the full moon, except for a strange blue tint to his eyes.

"Where is she?" Scott's asks as his voice deepens, strangely demonic.

"She's safe. From you." Derek said mockingly accusing him

"What did you do—" Scott asks but Derek interrupts him and says

 "Quiet."

His voice comes like a knife into Scott's head, making him wince. Derek glances up to the woods around them, listening. Derek continues to say solemnly

 "It's too late"

Scott's yellow eyes flick left and right as if he senses something else in the woods as well while Derek continued to say

 "They're already here. Run."

A second later Derek is on his feet, moving so fast he's almost a blur. Scott barely has time to react when something comes soaring out of the darkness.

An arrow lands in the trunk of a nearby tree. The bolt explodes with a brilliant flash. Scott stumbles back, yellow eyes blinking furiously. Something about the flash has perfectly compromised his vision. When he looks up, Derek is gone. In his place, three figures emerge from the shadows. Silhouettes at first, they approach with purpose.

They look like hunters. One carries a Remington pistol grip shotgun. Another chambers a round in a Glock 21 handgun. The third and obvious leader, wields a much stranger weapon, A crossbow, Steel-tipped bolt pulled back and ready to fire.

Practically blinded, Scott can barely see a thing. Until his eyes focus on the determined face of the leader, raising the crossbow to fire again.

Scott tries to turn and run, but the arrow soars, tearing through the darkness and right into Scott's forearm, pinning it to a tree.

Scott howls in pain. (Distant howling). Lowering the crossbow, the leader allows himself the slightest of satisfied smiles and said

 "Take him..."

The 1st hunter comes forward, but then a large figure hurtles up behind him.

Clawed hands grab the 1st hunter by the back of his jacket and hurl him into the air, easily tossing him into a tree and then another lithe figure grabs the 2nd hunter by his hands and throws him onto another tree.

The leader retreats back, calmly and quickly redrawing his crossbow as Derek tears out of the shadows toward Scott. In one swift motion he snaps the shaft of the arrow in Scott's arm and pulls him free. Derek then yells at him

"Go!"

Scott charges forward, racing out of the clearing and back into the woods with Derek right behind him. The l e a d e r 's shotgun was about to fire when a lithe figure jumps just over his head, grabs the shotgun and throws it away followed by a kick.

"Faster!" Derek said in a hurried and nervous tone

But Scott eventually slows and underneath his damp hair, his face has returned to normal. He's back in human form. He staggers to a stop in the woods, gasping for breath. When he looks up, Derek steps out of the darkness to face him. He doesn't breathe hard at all, seemingly in perfect control of his abilities.

"Who were they?" Scott asks frightened

"Hunters. The kind who've been hunting us for centuries." Derek said calmly

"Us? You mean you. You did this to me!" Scott scared and angry lashes at him

"Is it that bad, Scott? That you can see better, hear more clearly, move faster than any human could ever Hope? You've been given something most people would kill for. The bite is a gift." Derek said

"I don't want it." Scott said

"You will. And you're going to need me if you want to learn to control it. You and me Scott. We're brothers now." Derek said

 CLAPS CLAPS CLAPS

"Classic scene, ha ha, Derek, Is every werewolf your brother?" Nick laughed and asked coming out of the shadows.

 "Nick." Scott shouts in horror

"Where you the one who helped us now?" Derek asked flashing his cold steel blue eyes.

"Yes, and who are trying to scare, Derek?" Nick smirked as his eyes turned to bright red eyes.

When Derek saw the bright red eyes, he snapped as his facial features changed as razor sharp teeth came out and he lunched at Nick. When Derek's claws were about to tear at Nick's faces, Nick grabbed Derek's neck with his wrists and threw his at a tree.

Then he dashed towards Derek and lifted him with a hand, coldly looked at him and said "Derek, this is the first and last time I forgive you for attacking me as I know you attacked me in anger but if it happens a second time, I won't show mercy." As Nick released his grip and Derek slowly turned back.

Nick turned towards Scott and said

"Scott, if you need help at any time, you can call me." And then Nick dashed away through the woods at super speed.

 WALKER HOUSE

When Nick reached home, he saw his mom sitting on the sofa smiling at him, piercing at him with her eyes and when he saw her like this he felt as if a knife was at his throat as he froze and started sweating profusely.

Nick became timid and asked his mother stammering

"Mom, W…hat d…id I do w…rong?"

"Look at your brother" Nick turned to look at Zach and saw his drunk babbling some nonsense about supernatural, how awesome he is... etc. Nick cursed at his brother internally and said

"Mom, I told him to drink less but by the time I found him he was like this. What can I do?" Nick was almost on his knees crying being stared at by his mother. Seeing him like this, her eyes softens until she heard him say

"I am sorry, Mom. Next time, this won't happen." Katherine took the broom that was laying nearby and dashed to beat Nick hearing him say this. Nick got up and ran trying to escape her pursuit. After running few rounds, she became tired, so Nick approached her and apologized to her. After forgiving they both sat down for dinner, since dad had night duty and Zach was out cold.

While eating, Nick asked his mother

"Mom, have you met the Argents next door?"

"No, Why?" Katherine said while chewing

"They are hunters." Nick said with a mysterious smile.

"How do you know?" Katherine asked intrigued

"Mr. Argent, almost hunted Scott today. If me and Derek Hale, another werewolf, weren't there he would have been toast." Nick said proudly

"Are you alright, darling" Katherine asked with worry etched on her face checking him for injuries.

"I am fine, Mom but do you know the fun thing about this." Nick said smirking

"What fun in hunter hunting werewolves." Katherine with a smile at Nick's childish antics

"Because Scott is in love with Allison, Allison Argent." Nick's laughs out loud as Katherine was shocked at this.

"Poor kid. First, gets bitten and then loves a girl from Hunters family." Katherine comments sadly at Scott's misfortune.

 ROAD, BEACON HILLS PRESERVE

The morning sun beating down on an empty tree-shrouded dirt road. Scott slowly wanders his way home, depressed and distressed, not even seeming to notice at first when Stiles jeep pulls up next to him.

"Scott? Are you okay? I've been driving all over looking for you. And that dumbass Nick he said he will help me but he didn't even contact me with any news." Stiles said irked with concern. Exhausted, Scott slowly turns to his friend and said

"You were right. About all of it" as Scott gets into the jeep

STILES JEEP

Stiles drives, Scott leaning to the door in the passenger seat with a jacket over him now. There is a silence inside the jeep because of the information that was dumped

"So, Nick is a werewolf." Stiles asked still reeling in from shock.

 "Yes" Scott confirms it again

"That's explains how he knew." Stiles said with understanding.

 "Knew what?" Scott asks confused

"You are werewolf." Stiles said when an odd silence hung over in the jeep again.

"You know what actually worries me most?" Scott said frustrated

"If you say Allison, I'm going to punch you in the head." Stiles obviously noticing what's going through his friend's head and quips.

"She probably hates me now." Scott said irked

"I doubt that. But you might want to come up with a pretty amazing apology. Or just tell her the truth and revel in the awesomeness of the fact that you're a freaking Werewolf." Stiles said comforting him

"Okay, bad idea. We'll get through this. If I have to, I'll chain you up myself on full moon nights and feed you live mice. I had a boa once. I can do it." Stiles continues to say showing how deep their friendship is and finally, Stiles coaxes the tiniest smile out of Scott.

 DAY, HIGH SCHOOL

Waiting on a bench outside school, Scott jumps to his feet when he sees Allison come out the double doors. "What happened to you last night? You left me stranded at the party." Allison asks

"I know and I'm sorry. I really am. But just trust me on this... I had a really good reason—" Scott said giving her a cute look

"Did you get sick?" Allison questions him

"I definitely had an attack of something." Scott said thinking of last night

"Am I going to get an explanation?" Allison asks fed up with him speaking cryptically.

"For now, could you find it in your heart to just trust me?" Scott asks nervously

"Am I going to regret this?" Allison asks

"Probably." Scott said with a sigh and takes a step closer to her as he continues

"So, are we agreeing on yes to a second chance?"

"Definitely yes." Allison said happily and then, just as it looks like they're about to kiss. A horn beep. An SUV pulls up to the front of the school.

"That's my dad. I better go." Allison said shyly as Scott nods, turning to head back. But then he pauses, head tilting up with an intake of breath. He's caught a familiar scent. Glancing back, he sees, Allison's father. The face is instantly recognizable. It's the man with the crossbow. The leader of the hunters.

He throws Scott a friendly smile, clearly not recognizing the boy as his prey from last night. With the full weight of realization hitting Scott--the father of the girl he loves is also now his sworn enemy--his face clouds with dread, darkness surrounding him as he walks back into the school.
