BEACON HILLS

Nick's POV

It has been almost a year since my family survived the disaster. The serial killing case was closed that year with Max Storm being declared as the serial killer. As planned, I also took a year of absence from my studies. During that time, I registered many domain names that were in my past life. One of them, was sold for a sky-high price. I used that money to establish a publishing company and published my first book 'Game of Thrones'. The book was a hit and in United States alone 1 million copies were sold in a year. It made my family's finances easier.

 The CEO of the company was Paul Whiston, a graduate in English from Harvard university. He has worked in various executive roles in Macmillan, Random House and Bloomsberg publishers. I poached him from his previous company with 5% share and annual salary of 500000.

 He did well in his work as he signed two other authors into the company and also started to our preliminary work to expand our distribution overseas. After publishing Game of Thrones, I started a new book Hunger Games which will be published this year.

 Apart from writing books and starting my own company, I also trained in Krav Maga, Brazilian Jiu-Jujutsu and gunfighting. It's funny when I think about it, a werewolf who is superior in strength and reflexes to human, learning fighting techniques. But still it helped me control and better use of my powers.

 While I was learning, Zach also picked up interest in this. Even though mom objected at first, I also helped him convince her that it is better for him to learn to fight because we can't be with him all the times. What surprised me was, dad also started teaching mom how to fight.

 Apart from fighting, dad also taught us all of the druid's knowledge. Even though fighting was mom's weakness, druid's knowledge was mom's strong point. So, she became proficient in it fast. Like that days went by, learning new things. During this time, I also tried to learn haki like in one piece. Fun fact, One Piece is published in this world.

 When I first told dad about this method, he looked at me weirdly but still helped. Then came the days of being tortured. I don't how One-Piece natives all could learn it. As a werewolf I could dodge every baseball that hurled at me. But as a human, I was beaten to pulp every day. But I still preserved, the last time I did it, I dodged plenty of balls.

 I also helped Zach and dad with their training. We started with soft balls because they couldn't heal like I do. They have also slightly progressed in being more intuitive to dodge. I also tried to inject whereas types of wolfbane or aconite in varying amounts into my bodies. At first, my body fell weak to levels of human as I couldn't heal also, overtime my body lessened the time before it could effectively weaken my body. Even though I am not immune to these, I have a certain resistance and could get time to flee.

 WALKER HOUSE

The family of four were sitting together and eating dinner. While they were having a good time, Katherine asked

"Son, have you decided where we have to go?"

"Not yet" Nick replied

"Why not?" Katherine asked irritated at how irresponsible he was

"We will decide today after dinner together" Nick said promptly seeing that she was about to scold

"Okay" Katherine replied calming down

Then they talked about other things teasing each other, telling about their day while eating dinner. After dinner, four of them together finished the chores and Jon opened the map of US on the laptop.

"Where to?" Jon asked nick with a smile while Katherine and Zach looked at me to make a decision

"Let's go to California state. It will be better for my business there." Nick replied

"Okay, then California it is" Jon said

Jon zoomed in on the map. Nick looked at the map for some time. Then he pointed at a corner, large part of the place was covered by hills and forest. He pointed at the place and smiled at them.

"BEACON HILLS" Zach murmured and sighed thinking of his future in a small town.

"Why there? There are better places" Katherine asked intriguied

"I feel like I want to go there like it is calling me." Nick replied

"Oohh, spooky." Zach put his hand to his mouth, his legs shaky said eerily while hiding a smirk behind his hand.

"Tsk, Dramatic" nick clicked his tongue while Katherine and Jon laughed.

 "Okay, then it's decided we will leave for Beacon Hills in two days. So, start packing." Jon said
