In Heat

Samantha pops up outside of the crimson gate with anger still obviously peering at her expression. She once looks upstairs where her room is located and scowls, "Oh boy, trust me, you're a… HOPELESS DIMWIT!"

Samantha teleports, and this time, crops up in the wrong place. Not only does she find herself standing in front of a fancy nightclub which is not within her plan, she also disrupts the erotic intimacy of a couple who are hungrily devouring each other's lips in the corner.

They are startled by the strong surge of the wind that shoves in their direction, wobbling them in surprise. They instantly support each other as they turn to Samantha, glowering tempestuously at her as lewdness remains bursting all over their faces.

Samantha lifts her right eyebrow in a snooty manner as she shuts them a sidelong dagger look. "Keep looking. I'll gouge your eyes out."

The couple don't assume that  it's Samantha who carries that odd wind. Their reaction is just normal since something inexplicable has just occurred. Not only that, Samantha's dangerous aura is something that really draws their attention to her.

"What's your problem?" The man asks, astounded. "Did we offend you?"

Samantha snorts. She knows that the couple does nothing to her, but without her realizing it, their intimacy, somehow, irritates her. And an urge to spank their asses rises in her nerves. "If you want to f*ck, go home! Don't hang around here and contaminate my mind."

The couple unexpectedly laughs at her.

"You must be single,", says the girl who wears an utterly revealing blue skirt.

"What makes you say that?"

"I smell sour in the air.", jokes the girl.

"You mean I'm jealous?" Samantha snickers derisively at the girl. She feels something sting in her chest hearing herself clarifying the girl's statement, but she doesn't pay it a recognition. A sarcastic smirk creeps into her lips and domineeringly says, "This kind of thing can't make me feel jealous, little girl. Besides…" She shows her hand with the ring that once again becomes visible on her finger as soon as she feels like showing it off. She proudly says, "I'm married."

With dumbstruck overtaking their countenances, as if they had just seen a ghost, Samantha gracefully makes her way inside the club.

Samantha is greeted by bustling surroundings. The majority of the people are dancing enthusiastically on the dance floor along with the rock music played by the DJ, spreading wild vibes in the air. The colorful spotlights highlight the wild atmosphere even more.

Samantha instantly stops on her track when she suddenly feels something off with herself.

An inscrutable heat ruptures inside her like a deadly bomb. It makes her thirsty, and she craves something that she can't sort out what it is.

Panic glints past her eyes when her vision unexpectedly plays a big joke on her. All of the people around her become nude and worse, skinless. Their veins from all over the body become visually visible to her, showing their rippling blood.

Once again, Samantha catches a sniff of a fresh sweet honey scent of human blood, immediately reminding her of Morgan. Her fangs grow remembering him, her emerald pupils change into bloody red, and the heat she feels blazes up even more. She is craving him.

"This can't be!" Samantha's mind screams, astonished. "Since when have I craved blood like this?"

Samantha shakes her head, trying to get rid of the ridiculous vision and desire that had never arisen a long time ago. She hasn't completely forgotten the taste of blood, but she has never had this kind of craving for it. She can't now even remember when the last time she drank human blood was.

The noises of laughter, heartbeats, and breathing worsens this feeling. It's like a potion, stimulating her to do a horrible act that she has promised not to commit ever again.

A hand suddenly taps her shoulder, having her body responds with a jolt.

"Miss, is something wrong?", a man's voice rang in her ears.

Samantha growls as her face scrunches up, fangs uncontrollably protrude out of her mouth.

"Hey, talk to me. Do you need help?" He inquires again.

"Go away!" Samantha roars in a beast-like voice as she nudges the man away from her, sending him flying like a Frisbee against the door panel. The ear-deafening music drowns the sound of the mess they caused.

Samantha had no time to care for the man. She zooms out of the bar and runs towards the desolated narrow alley.

She throws herself on the wall and falls squatting on the ground, covering both her ears in anguish as the different noises of happiness, bliss, fear, pain, and lovemaking become louder and fiercer in her hearing.

"Enough! Enough!" Samantha let out a silent scream, and suddenly a familiar aura was captured by her craving senses. Her figure darts off towards the source of the aura and pounces on a vampire man surreptitiously preying on a maiden in the road.

Samantha grapples him under the bushes by the road and ruthlessly satisfies her savage nature. She brutally scratches his body several times with her sharp nails, allowing the blood to spurt everywhere, and once she has enough of it, she kneels down above him and tears the veins on his neck with a single yet violent bite.

Samantha is spectacularly powerful. That vampire man doesn't even get an opportunity to resist. His body receives countless deep cuts and loses his life almost instantly. And his body burns into ashes and disappears.

Samantha continues kneeling on the ground, blood covers all over her. She spreads her blood-soaked hands open and watches them as she flips them up and down occasionally. Perplexed by her current emotions, she giggles indifferently, in a mad-like manner. "Why? Why is it no longer enough?"

Samantha runs her murderous gaze from her hands up to the sky, and immediately crinkles her face when she notices something off with the moon.

She thought she had seen it wrong. But things become clearer the more she observes the moon gradually peeking up at the sky, until it reveals itself completely into a moon that only shows up thrice a year, bathing the world with reddish moonlight.

"The Red moon? Am I…. In heat?" Samantha chortles, she is skeptical. Ever since, she has never had this kind of feeling before. She wonders whether her induction is real or not because this is the only explanation she can think of at the moment for behaving like this tonight. Besides, this thing called 'mating season' never has troubled her before and so she is not familiar with the signs.

Samantha only assumes she is really in heat based on what she hears from others before. Once a vampire has someone she likes, the red moon can affect her body. And since vampires are born with a barbaric nature, lovemaking will only become exciting and delightful if they can wound or scratch their partner's body. This only explains why the vampire blood she just drank no longer satisfies the mysterious craving of her body.

She glares at the moon and scolds it. "Why? Why do I have to feel this way? Are you testing my will? Fuck you!! Ever since I was born, I have always despised you! You're such a pain in my ass! Want to joke with me? Pah, I won't ever touch that man! He is….. a weakling!"
