Jiushu immediately checked on aunt Fa's body.

She dared not retrieve it from the storage, for the fear she will bleed out. She checked and double checked storage conditions.

'Time is stopped.' One can not believe her relief at seeing those words in detailed info about storage.

So, she can stay there like that while they search for a doctor.

She consoled Xiao Xing, who was crying like there's no tomorrow.

The child cried himself to sleep. Jiushu set him up on the bed, made lunch for both of them.

She could do a little better than before. However, it is far too shoddy compared to aunt Fa.

Tears spilled in Jiushu's eyes, as she finally let herself come out of the crisis response state. The shock slowly left her system, her control on her emotions slipped. Her legs gave out underneath her, as she wondered what she was supposed to tell MoQiu.

There will be no one to tell him what happened.

In one day, they would have lost the pillar of their family.

Jiushu emptied her head. For now, she needs to take care of Xiao Xing. she can think of a solution at another time.

Xiao Xing calmed down a little by the night. At least, he is hopeful they can find a doctor and cure aunt Fa. Jiushu did not hold out any hopes. She felt bad about deceiving little guys like this, but one must do what is needed. Moreover, this is a world of superpowers. Could it be that there won't be a super healer? If he doesn't, she will not go searching for him. She will go her own route, and make sure Xiao Xing and herself survive to adulthood.

Thus decided, Jiushu dug her feet in where she was.

The creature could have come right out of night mares. It is the size of a medium dog, had scales like a crocodile, it's tongue is a glowing orange, it's legs long, it's paw a mix between bird claw and a paw. Jiushu reeled back, only to realize they could not come into her space.

She stood back and watched. It seems someone is chasing them. She scrunched her eyes and concentrated, as if doing that could give her an advantage. It is only as the person came very near her that she realized. It's MoQiu. He is killing off the wolf-zards one after another, like a being from hell came to reap their death.

Jiushu was about to call him before thinking better of it. It seems he is in battle, and these wolfzards did not look like they are easy to hunt. If he reacts at the wrong time, he might lose his life.
