The tour to the Art Museum was about two hours and Riley was with Ellie the entire time. I’d be honest, I’d had better two hours in my life.
I shouldn’t care, and it was stupid of me to have acted out. The best way I could describe my behavior was that I felt like an overprotective father who found out his daughter had been seeing someone in secret, even though they just hung out as normal friends and had been keeping a polite distance from each other.
For whatever reason, it just didn’t sit well with me.
I had to refrain myself from glancing Ellie’s way too frequently like a creepy dad. She was my student, my employee, but not my daughter after all.
I was happy when the tour finally ended and I looked forward to escorting the students back to the hotel, without any outsiders.
Just then, my phone rang. I took a quick peek at the number and cursed to myself, really didn’t want to take it, but I knew I had to, otherwise he wouldn’t leave me alone.
