Taric still outside on the balcony, Failed asleep just to be woken by sunlight. It was dawn and Kuoh academy's schedule was about to start. He stood up from him place and went to the wardrobe. There was the school uniform of Kuoh academy. "..." Taric didn't like the uniform, But he has to wear it in the school and so he did. He put the uniform on looked at the mirror and said "They could have still made it look better." Taric took a brief case and left his apartment

He walked beside the street till he reached the place, He walked past the market And through a park It was a nice place.

Taric walked a lot to reach the academy, His apartment wasn't close to it, But it was nice. It was refreshing. He was before the opened gate of the academy. Some group of girls and another with boys were Looked at him and murmured to each other. Taric just ignored them And continued forward. Once in the main building of the school there was students walking back and forth. He looked up the stairs and saw a girl with crimson red hair Who was looking down on him. He simply looked at her with a questioning expression. They stared in each other's eyes for a bit and the girl left.

Taric Left as well Toward his room. He walked through the hallway with the people around him talking about him. He couldn't hear clearly, But he could hear them saying the new student. He opened the door to his room. And some have greeted him, Some didn't. He sat on the seat that was assigned to him. Many looked at him And commented. One guy approached him "Hello, I am Issei, I suppose you are the new student."

"Hello There. I am Taric, You can just call me by name."

"You too..."

"Don't Talk to him. You will catch his pervertness." A girl yelled

"Hey, Would you shut up." Issei yelled back

Taric started laughing, Which laugh decayed over time. "Be sure, i won't."

The door to the room opened and a blonde guy came in, The girls started crushing at him, Making him compliments. He said his hello to them and came to Taric's desk.

"Hello, I am here to show you around And maybe interest you into joining one of the clubs. I am yuuto Kiba, But you can just call me kiba."

"Hello, I am Taric, And you can call me by name." Taric replied

"Ok, Taric. I will come back later to show you around." Kiba said

"Ok then, see you then." Taric said before Kiba left the room.

It didn't take much, Most of the girls were spinning around Taric (Not literally)

It was finally time for class, The bells rung, The teacher entered And everyone sat down.

The Teacher started talking, he was pulled out to introduce himself and he did it with confidence. He sat down once again and the class has officially started for him. It was actually pretty boring.

It took hours before it ended and the bell rang again. Kiba entered the room once again, And waved his hand at Taric.

Taric stood up and went toward him, (Damn Kiba is short.)

Kiba just left the room with Taric following him.

Kiba was walking toward a specific location, Which made Taric question Him. After some walking they reached a nice garden with a whole separate building. It was weird, But still nice. Kiba opened the doors for Taric and he entered in the building. Once again weird, But still nice. "What a nice place." He said

"Thank you." Kiba answered

They walked a bit more till they reached another room. Inside there was a crimson haired girl.

"I brought him." Kiba said as he closed the doors behind him

"Thank you Kiba." The girl said "Hello, I am Rias Gremory."

(Gremory? Why does this sound so familiar? Ah, Yeah the piece of paper said that there is a member of the Gremory clan here.)

"Let me guess you are a devil." Taric said

Rias's serious expression turned into a smile "Yes, I am. Kiba saw you kill a stray devil yesterday, With a mace you summoned out of nowhere."

"Yes, I did." Taric replied

"Ok, Just asking would you like to join my peerage?" Rias asked

"What would it take?" Taric asked

"You will belong to me..."

"Is there anyone else that is a part of your peerage?" Taric asked

"Yes, I am." A girl with black hair said as she came out of nowhere

"Me too." Kiba said

"Yeah me too." Another girl with white hair said

...

"I won't comment The fact that you lost your free will." Taric said "I will not join your peerage, Nothing is worth my free will, But..."

"But what?"

"I can become an ally to your peerage. Does that sound good?" Taric asked

"Alright then." Rias said.

"Ok, That settles it then. I will be an ally to your peerage." Taric said

"Indeed it does. Your role is your choice. Anything you pick will be appreciated." Rias replied

"Thanks. Taric said

Rias thought for a bit and said "I will tell you more details on how the peerage works. Do you know the game of chess?"

"Yes" Taric replied

"Imagine that the people in the peerage a chess pieces. I am the king." Rias said before pointing toward the black haired girl "Akeno is my queen." Then she pointed toward the white haired girl "Koneko is my rook." Then she stopped pointing and said "You probably already know Kiba, He is my knight. If you want you can be our bishop. By title, But duo to you not wanting to be reincarnated as devil, We can't make it official."

"I am not desperate, To be officially a devil, After all why would I want to give away my best gift Humanity." Taric said (And being a celestial)

"It's your choice. If you want I would try to do something about you becoming my evil piece yet to not be one. But still put you in my peerage, While letting you have your own free will. You won't be forced to do what I say." Rias suggested

"It's fine for me, If I keep my free will and I am not bound to this world... And yes it will be nice if you try to do something about this." Taric said

"Alright. I will Try to change the system a bit, Just for you." Rias said

Taric laughed a bit "Not just for me, But for everyone who want to keep their humanity. Yet be a help to someone"

"Ok. I will do something. If you want you can go. Our conversation is finished." Rias said

"Ok"

Taric then proceeded to leave "Have a great night."

"You too." Rias replied

Taric left the building and Walked back home, Through the park. It was already getting a bit dark, The sunset was beautiful. The trees even made it better. Past a fountain Which made a nice relaxing sound of water drops falling back into water... What a delightful scene.

Taric was so lost in delight that he forgot he was wearing the uniform.

His legs were moving on their own as he looked around and enjoyed the beauty of this world.

He finally left the park and was about to reach the market. There he bought once again ice tea and a few other things. Even though he isn't fully human and can't feel hunger neither die from it. This does not mean he can't enjoy food.

He left the store and went back home. Took a nice cold shower changed to something more comfortable and laid on the balcony. Another beautiful scene...
