"I thought you're going to die but were grateful to see you alive," Yohan said happily to Agatha.

Azrael put down the magazine he was reading and said, "Don't be so negative Yohan, we both know that she's the Alpha's mate, and being a brave woman is one of her characteristics."

"I know. I'm just concerned that she might die."

"Are you serious?" Azrael chuckled, "She's not a werewolf so the silver knife didn't affect her after all."

Agatha chuckled softly because this is the first time she meet all the members of Zeus's pack, she is grateful to meet them but there is one thing that keeps bothering her mind and that is the man who abducted her last day.

She looks at the hospital sofa where Zeus is sitting while reading one of the magazines there, she can't help but smile because before she lost consciousness that day. Agatha saw how worried he was for her.

"Your lucky Zeus came right on time because if not, you might die now."

She averted her gaze to Jacob, "Yeah, I'm lucky and I'm thanking all of you for saving my life."

"You don't have to thank us luna because Zeus has to take all the credit if you can see how mad he is when Maverick stab you."

"I wish I saw that," She act like she didn't see what Jacob talking about and said, "Maybe next time."

They all look at her except for Zeus who is busy reading the magazine, they gave Agatha a startling look at what they heard from her.

She laughed nervously, "I'm just joking, don't take it seriously guys."

"That's not a good joke Agatha, we risk our lives to save you and are even willing to kill our pack member just for you so don't say that as if you're going to feel what we're going to feel."

"I'm sorry," She scratch her head and averted her eyes to avoid their sharp gazes.

Yohan sighed before sitting on the end of the hospital bed, "We understand that you still do not get what our responsibility when it comes to you."

"But don't worry, we understand you but don't you ever joke like that again."

Yohan touches her shoulder to show Agatha they forgive her because as a pack member, they didn't have a gut to be mad at the chosen one.

He smiles at the young lady which Agatha responded with a smile but Zeus is not happy to see that his mate is smiling at other men.

"Would you mind taking off your hands to her, Yohan?" Zeus looks at them, "If you don't want me to cut it off and erase the smile on your lips."

"Easy!" He immediately removes his hands to Agatha's shoulder, "I'm removing it now."

Jacob laughed suddenly and said, "Look who's possessive now?"

"Are you trying to say something, Jacob?"

"No, I didn't say anything geez."

Zeus close the magazine he was reading and put it on the table before leaning on the sofa, he look at his pack one by one and he was thankful that they have his back for so long.

"Your job here is done so you can leave now," He ordered.

"Oh, you didn't tell us that you want to be alone with her?" Jacob teases him.

He looks sharply at Jacob, "Are you trying to annoy me huh?"

"Of course not."

"Leave."

Jacob shook his head before standing up, he leave the room without any other words to say followed by the remaining members of their packs. Zeus, on the other hand, was quietly looking at Agatha who is trying to avoid his gaze and act like she was busy.

"How are you?" He asked suddenly causing the young lady to look at him immediately.

"M-me?" She asked and pointed to herself.

He looks around and acts like he's finding something before turning his gaze to Agatha, "Do you see anyone else inside of this room except for me?"

Agatha tried to laugh and said, "I'm g-good..."

"That's great."

"Uh... Zeus..." She murmured and sighed, "I want to say thank you for saving me."

"I didn't save you. If that's what you thinking."

"Oh, I'm sorry."

A silence fell between them and they both waited for each other whose going to start a new conversation. However, Agatha secretly glances at the young man who is currently reading a magazine again. She sighed for being a shy person for a moment and scold herself in her mind.

She took a deep breath before facing the young man but she froze in her position when Zeus is already standing in front of her. He was looking directly at her and it gave her unease feelings.

"Don't ever do that again," He said seriously.

"Huh?"

Zeus sat down in the hospital bed and said, "Don't put your line in a death situation."

"Z-Zeus..." She murmured.

"When I see the blood came out from your mouth, I suddenly felt terrified that you are going to leave me." He exhales deeply and grabs Agatha's hand, "I thought you're going to leave me but when I hear your heart, you have me hope Agatha."

She look at his sparkling eyes and didn't know if Agatha seeing it right because Zeus' eyes dimmed as if he was so horrified after what she goes through. A smile flash on her lips because suddenly she felt the soft side of the ruthless alpha and she wouldn't let that side go for a while.

"I'm not leaving you because I still have a job to fulfill, right?" She pats his hands, "And I still need to tame that beast inside you..."

Zeus chuckled, "Well see if you can still tame me."

"Of course I am. If I said I can tame you, I mean that and no one can change my mind even you."

"Besides, leaving you is not a good idea because if I did maybe I lost my mind and go insane. Money is not the reason for me to stay now Zeus because the reason I have is to tame you."

He smiled before letting go of her hands and stood up from sitting on the hospital bed, "Take a nap, I'll be back after taking care of something."

"Okay," She smiled and say goodbye.

That's all he said before leaving the room but he was surprised to see the familiar faces waiting outside the door.

"What are you still doing here?" He asked them.

Yohan avoids his gaze and acts like he's looking for something while Jacob busies having a conversation with a nurse. Azrael on the other hand shook his head before standing in his seat and approaching their alpha.

"They insist on staying here to make sure Agatha is safe," He explained.

"Taking care of her is my job and did I give you a job to deal with? Aren't I?"

He scratch his chin and uttered, "Yes, you do but they're so stubborn and I can't pursue them to leave."

"You are in charge and I am counting on you Azrael so don't give me such reason."

Zeus sighed in disbelief if he can kill all of them maybe he achieved it but he was bound to be a responsible and good influence on his pack and killing them was not a good idea for an alpha like him.

"I swear to death Jacob if you didn't stop right now. I will rip your head off."

Jacob stop from talking and look at him, "Hey, I didn't know that you were there."

"You know I was here. You're just ignoring my presence.,

"I'm sorry, I'm kinda busy hitting this babe."

He flashes an evil smile, "You want me to rip off her head too?"

"Relax! That's not nice. Besides, I have something that can make your mood change."

"What is it?"

Jacob's grin changes into a serious expression before looking around and walking closer to their alpha.

"He manage to save Agatha's father but Maverick escape us," He stated.

"Are you kidding me? You said, you have something that can change my mood and this is not what I'm expecting."

He shrugged his shoulder, "That's all I have except for one thing. Adeline was there that time."

"What?"

"I have a feeling Adeline was behind this, not your father. We found something that belongs to her and I think she joins hands with Maverick."

Zeus clench his fist and said, "I knew it."

He handed Zeus the hairclip he found from the abandoned building which their alpha immediately accept it. Zeus looks intently at the hairclip and he has a strong feeling that it belongs to Adeline.

"I'm not sure if she owns that but Adeline's scent was lingering into that thing."

"She owns it," He murmured.

"In that case, what are you planning?"

He clutches the hairclip tightly until it breaks into pieces before letting it go and enduring the pain in his palm.

"Everything has a compensation..." He uttered.

"Zeus," Jacob said.

"Find her."

Zeus is desperate to find the person who is behind all this, he wouldn't let her live like she did nothing because no one can escape him after injuring his mate.
