“How would I know?” I responded to Kloud.
“Isn't that what you wanted?” I demanded.
“Yes but—” I closed my eyes in frustration, running a hand through my hair.
“Explain, please.” Kloud's voice reached my ears. I could hear the impatience in his voice.
My eyes slowly snapped open as our eyes clashed. The desperation in his eyes made me feel weak. “Kloud, I have never done this before.”
“What do you mean?” He took a step back and laughed awkwardly.
I swallowed hard and then gathered the courage to say, “I have never been with anyone.”
Kloud eyes widened and then he squinted his eyes at me. “A virgin?”
I nodded. “Yes.”
“Why?” Kloud asked, tilting his head to the side.
“What do you mean why?” I leaned on the table and crossed my arms on my chest. “I already told you that I have never let anyone get close to me.”
“I thought you meant—” Kloud stopped himself, shaking his head. “Wow.”
