Qiao Xi panicked, "Mr. Huo, you're injured."
"It's just a small cut, no big deal." Huo Xingzhou walked steadily, his voice calm. He carried Qiao Xi all the way down the mountain, back to the small bungalow where the doctors were staying temporarily.
Qiao Xi was placed securely in the room, her limbs felt weak as she looked at the pale-faced Huo Xingzhou, stammering.
A colleague exclaimed, "Mr. Huo, you've lost a lot of blood!"
Qiao Xi's eyes fell on his arm, a long gash from which blood kept flowing.
The remaining surgeon immediately said, "Dr. Qiao, you're covered in dirt, go wash up. I'll take care of your husband's wound, trust my skills."
Qiao Xi's head felt heavy, her eyes reddening.
Huo Xingzhou spoke indifferently, "You go first."
She was pushed out by the crowd, while those villagers watched Huo Xingzhou nervously, fearing he might suffer a mishap.
