Heaven's Bridge (2)

I turned around to see who it was and my nerves finally relaxed at the sight of Oliver. My eyes were filled with tears and I quickly hugged him into a tight embrace "I missed you."

His voice was heavy too "Me too, please don't leave this time."

I glared at him now how could I tell him I had to leave with this dangerous person standing next to me so I diverted the subject "How is everyone doing and how is everything in the castle."

He was not pleased by the change of the subject "Everyone is fine and you know without you I can not get into the castle."

I smiled at him and then introduced him to James "Oliver this is James, I told you about and James this is Oliver, my best friend."

Both of them greeted each other with a smile but James hostility was clearly visible in his eyes and I knew he was jealous. As Oliver made small talk with Robert I thought of a way to get the potion from Oliver in a way that James could not find out but nothing came to my mind. 

I was becoming anxious and my heart beat was increasing and off course it would not have gone unnoticed by James. He looked at me as if I was some culprit "What is wrong?"

His tone was polite but I knew very well what his actual tone would have been if Oliver was not there. I calmed myself down until my heart started beating normally "Nothing". I had to learn how to control my emotions as my heart beat could easily give me away. 

He gave me a look saying he didn't believe me but I didn't say anything. I thought for a while and then a perfect idea struck me. I looked at James and said "I think my periods have started and I need to visit Oliver's shop."

James gave me a sharp look and held my waist "I will come with you."

I nodded and then we went to Oliver's shop, he understood what I meant so to distract James he wrapped up the pads and the potion that I asked him in a paper bag and handed it to me. I smiled at him and asked him to take me to the washroom. James insisted on coming in when I said irritated "Don't worry I can't escape from there, this shop has only one entrance."

He felt satisfied and let me go still keeping his guard up. As I went into the shop with Oliver, I breathed a sigh of relief and Oliver giggled "A person like you who causes trouble is finally being troubled."

I glared at him "Shut up and tell me what next."

He took me to the washroom and handed me some clothes while he said "Get changed and wear these clothes, use your skill and make your skin look darker, hide your features and nude the potion to change you fragrance. After that come to the front and behave like my worker and say Sir we are out of green liquid. I will tell you to go and buy it and then you can leave."

I nodded and said "Just don't panic and most importantly don't let your heart rate change, even if you miss a beat he will notice so act normal, he has a sharp hearing and he picks up heart beats quickly. He nodded and left and then I reminded myself to do the same but it was too difficult to calm my racing heart.

After he left, I entered the washroom and did as he told and when I was ready to go to the front I realized something James could read minds. I panicked thinking he must already know our plan but then he didn't know how I smelled right now and what I was wearing so I looked around for a way to escape. 

Before I could do anything I heard James voice "You know what I can read minds, the only exception is Isabel but then I know your plan so ask her to drop the act and come like that I can't wait anymore."

Oliver didn't speak for a long time but his footsteps were heard coming closer to me. I found a window on a little height in the washroom and decided to escape before Oliver came or the rest of my escape plan would indirectly be known by James again.

I used my magic and broke the glass of the window while making the hole a little larger. I knew this noise must have been heard by James as he had really sharp hearing so I quickly made my way out while I heard a pair of footsteps that were rushed and were making there way to the back. 

I made my way to the Heaven's Bridge and opened the secret door to the human world that I had found out years ago. The gate was connected to the airport and in just a few minutes I was there. Although I was in a safe place now, my heart was not at ease and I was still feeling scared so I quickly got out of the airport port and took a cab to go to a restaurant. 

I was sure I had left James behind but I kept having a weird feeling that someone was following me, I looked around and found nothing. I keep it was just because of the fear I was imagining things but then I had to be careful. I had left him behind and when I reached the airport I had changed my scent once again so there was no chance he would know how I smell. I felt relieved at the thought and decided to stay at this place for a night and then go to a different country because he would definitely think that I would go to a different country today but not going was the best way to trick him. 

I checked into my room and this time I was sure I was being followed so as I entered my room I turned around to see a person standing behind me.
