ENFORCING THE CLAUSE OF THE CONTRACT
Renard leaned back in the plush chair, a sly smile playing on his lips. "Your father owes me," he declared with an air of confidence that sent shivers down Jack's spine.
Jack, taken aback, responded, "My father is dead, but if it's money you seek, I'll settle the debt."
Renard chuckled, dismissing the notion of financial compensation. "Money is inconsequential to me, Jack. Didn't Timothy inform you?" Renard's gaze shifted towards Timothy, who nodded in affirmation.
It was at that moment Jack noticed Timothy's presence in the room, a silent witness to the unfolding meeting. His face was clouded with something that resembled fear. Timothy was trapped under the influence of Renard and escaping was not an option with the master. He was stuck whether he liked it or not.
