Creating a guild

Lin Cian decided to make a deal with the blacksmith shop since they accepted his proposal and followed his plan.

Lin Cian entered the office on the floor and saw two people sitting on a couch.

'Did they know I am coming over here?' Lin Cian was surprised.

Lin Cian came near them and sat on the couch in front of them.

The room was not very lavish but looked good with some patterns and drawings around the walls and the roof. On the right side of his couch, there was a jug and a cup full of wine.

The young man sitting in front of him wore a dark blue suit with simple attire. Dark brown hair and dark brown eyes suited his skin which is of light tan color and his hand showed the sign of calluses like his father which confirmed that he was the son of the master blacksmith.

Then woman next to him was his wife the sole heir of the Dhamini family Chiro Dhamini. The young lady wore a pretty smile always but now her eyes didn't dare to meet Lin Cian because of the confrontation while he was entering the shop.

Lin Cian smiled as he looked at the surrounding walls. The patterns are inscriptions that covered the walls which soundproofed the noise of the room.

To break the silence the woman started to speak "Sorry for insulting you? I was doing that be....."

Lin Cian raised his hand to stop her and said "I am here for business" which amazed the couple in front of him.

"So how can I help you?" asked Carbiel with a serious tone.

"I propose you establish a guild," said Lin Cian with a calm expression.

"Wh..... what?" both of them shouted simultaneously because that was something they didn't expect.

Carbiel started to speak "Do you know what you are speaking? It is not something you can........"

"Listen to me," said Lin Cian without any expression. Lin Cian observed them only to find that they are not unwilling because they are excited but also they are shocked because it must be a harder task.

"I have an idea. To create a guild, you will be needing craftsmen and merchants but to find blacksmiths is not an easy task."

"So what do you propose?" asked Chiro.

"You are from a noble family we shall have the support of Dhamini fam....."

"I won't agree" Chiro interfered with him before he could finish it. Lin Cian turned his head towards Chiro Dhamini.

Common people don't have a surname. Since Chiro Dhamini is from a noble family and Carbiel is not, he will be a member of the Dhamini family.

"I am afraid I can't," said Chiro Dhamini.

Lin Cian was dumbfounded because his plans were in vain now because noble families how something in common and that is to take advantage of anything available. So Lin Cian decided to take this as an advantage to earn. But much to his surprise, Chiro Dhamini didn't take his bait.

She refused because if she let the Dhamini family take over the business there may be some ill act from the family to illegally own the business. Nobles are mostly shabby people who plunder the innocents. So she doesn't want to take risks which would draw a verge between her husband and her family.

'She is quite interesting' and Lin Cian continued to speak.

"Fine, but we would need the family to help anyway because we need manpower," said Lin Cian.

Chiro Dhamini's brows twitched 'Don't I know that?' she thought because she knew that they need manpower but she can't use her family power.

Lin Cian was silent and his thoughts lingered deep to decide his next move.

All this time Carbiel was quite listening to everything they argue. After all, he knew what she implied. He broke the silence after some time of silence

"Even if the family was involved I don't think we create a guild. They don't have time for this. They have a business to do."

"What's their family business?" his question was immediate.

"Our family goes into the deep forest to collect herbs and also we export jewel steel" Lin Cian was surprised by the answer of Chiro Dhamini. He stared at her for a moment and took off his gaze towards the floor.

He closed his eyes with his finger interlocked as his hands are under his chin which rests his elbow on his legs and thought for a while. The couple in front of him looked at each other in confusion.

Lin Cian was confused because jewel steel is valuable and it could make a small size family with stable finance. Adding with selling herbs it is possible to raise the status of the family as a medium-sized noble family or even a strong small-sized noble family unless they were cheated.

Lin Cian asked her "What kind of herbs do you sell?"

"Green soul grass, purple pool orchid, blue lavender grass, sparking chrysanthemum, spirit welling seed, torn black ginseng, pitch-black mascot stone, peach..."

Lin Cian gestured to stop and asked "Where do you sell these plants?"

"We sell to the Marco family"

"What about the steel?"

"The Saarbe family"

"How much does it cost?"

"4 gold coins for 5 kilos"

"What?" Lin Cian yelled.

She was stuck for a moment before looking at him in a confused manner. Lin Cian calmed him down and asked her

"Do you know you were being cheated?" he asked after forcibly calming himself.

"What?" Chiro was enraged but she was confused her husband was quiet and listening.

"A kilo of jewel steel is sold for 50 gold coins in the market what do you think your family has gained from it?"

Chiro's eyes widened. Her expressions sold her that she was completely confused as she was hit. She forced herself by telling 'It's not true.

Iron was not easily found in the land and if found its cost will compete with gold. But in the cities, they were sold at a peek price.

"No wonder they compensate for our loss" muttered Chiro Dhamini. She was on the verge of crying. She knew if the financial situation of the family is being stable she wouldn't have been forced to live in a shabby place. She would have got good accommodation and treatment so she could have lived longer. Even her mother is a prostitute her father genuinely loved her but she was dead because of sickness.

If the Dhamini family were in a financial crisis the Saarbe family would compensate them. Only now does she understand that they were benefitted more than the Dhamini family.

"What should I do now?"
