Can I Bring Him Home?

"It's our people," said Harry. It made him feel goosebumps.

"Are you sure about that?" asked Wei Lin in an annoyed tone.

"Almost" replied William who was just retransformed into a human. They were talking about the blood rain.

"William, how did you know it's from our side?" asked Aveda with a confused tone while staring at him.

"Yes, it is... wait... How did you know my name?" inquired William. He was stupefied for a moment.

"Is that a problem to bother?" Wei Li asked him in an annoying tone with an exclaiming expression while putting his hands over William's shoulder. William gulped but didn't show any reaction and the situation felt a little denser.

"Don't worry William. Everyone here is the same as you. Your name won't be shouted out to anyone unless it's your call" Aveda answered William while bowing slightly as she realized the seriousness of the situation.

"Thank you for your help today," said Darius with an excited expression while patting his head. William felt a little warmer and smiled at them. They started to move because they have already spoken to the villagers. If they stay in the village any longer the people will annoy them with their requests like stay with them and so on, so they started to move quickly to avoid it before it happens. That kind of work like rebuilding their village and household will be done by the officials once the hunting team reports the success of the hunt. That is also one of the reasons for them to move out quickly. Their previous leader was killed by the beasts so the leadership of the village to his son. The people who were survived bowed to the hunters to show their gratitude.

June was sitting beside Lin Cian who was sitting on the ground. He was very exhausted because of the spell he used. He smiled at June who was caressing his head with utmost care. He then turned toward her

"How are your injuries," said Lin Cian followed by a warm smile. His tone clearly showed that he was exhausted. She also felt warm in her heart when Lin Cian inquired about her but she only smiled at him.

"I don't have any," said June.

"They... They crushed your leg" said Lin Cian while lowering his head. Her eyes widened

"Did... 'gulp'... did you see it?" asked June in an embarrassing tone as she lowered her head. Lin Cian didn't raise his head but his reply was immediate

"Sorry," he said in a tone of guilt. After all, June screamed for help in fear but he sat like he heard nothing. June recognized his feelings.

"You saved me. Didn't you?" said June while making an energetic expression. Lin Cian only smiled at her for his reply.

"How is your injury?" Lin Cian confronted again. She only replied with an embarrassing laugh. Lin Cian knew she don't want to show herself weak in front of Lin Cian for the time being. So Lin Cian decided to take action on his own. He nodded at her as if he understood what she meant.

He extended and opened his left hand towards her while supporting himself on the ground with the other one. Suddenly a warm sensation invaded her crushed muscles and bones. With widened eyes, June saw him giving his utmost care to her. After a few minutes, the pain in her legs and stomach as well as her back disappeared. The bruises on her face and her tender hands were gone. She was staring at Lin Cian the whole time. Lin Cian could feel that the aura that her eyes emitted on him wasn't something that she was doing behind her husband. Her eyes showed the feeling of finding the person who went missing for years. It felt like brotherly love to him. So Lin Cian heartily accepted it with a smile. He also had another reason for doing so. June's eyes filled with the water of joy. She smiled at him heartily.

Lin Cian was very exhausted and his pearl-like face got pale even more because of the fatigue. His eyelids betrayed him by shutting down even if he don't want to. June smiled at him and said while caressing his head

"Sleep... I will protect you"

She knew the situation, Lin Cian was under heavy fatigue. After all, he used two powerful spells at the same time which demands a huge amount of energy. The healing spells at this level cause heavy exhaustion but she didn't know Lin Cian used spirit bending. He used his spirit essence as a medium instead of water. Even before thinking something Lin Cian fell asleep. He was lying on his back. June sat beside him while snaking her arms around her knees.

When other members of the party returned to see June and the newbie they were shocked to see that the newbie was sleeping soundly like a child.

The annoying ghost started to bicker with others since the hunt was a success. He came near Lin Cian

"You are really something to be asleep here to make me so envious of you..." he said those words while lifting his leg to disturb the sleep of Lin Cian but he stopped once he felt the killing aura and the sharp and cold glare at him. June stared at Wei Li as if she was going to throw him into the endless abyss of hell. When Wei Li felt a killing stare upon him he looked at June and annoyingly laughed at her.

After all, she is the youngest prodigy as a warlock who was well respected by him. Even if Wei Li was not afraid of her but he can't ensure the same if her husband got offended by him. June was not a person to get annoyed easily but now she got annoyed. So Wei Li chose not to annoy her more.

When Wei Li saw Harry he was very shocked to see that the strong killing intent was emitted from June's husband Harry Lockwood. Wei Li gulped and smiled at him before he take his eyes away from Wei Li to look at June's. When their eyes met Harry just smiled and nodded at her as he know what she was going to ask. Others were confused about his actions but June understood his intention and smiled like a kid at him but didn't take her eyes from her husband.
