The Lunch Date

Hjejin walked out of the station with so much anger in her that if she could kill someone she would have done that.

"That rich jerk think he can say and do anything he wants. That bastard!" Hjejin shouted.

"Yah Hjejin, are you gone mad. Why are you shouting in front of the station?" Jong-Suk yelled as he exited from his car.

That was the worst timing he could met her. Jong-suk looked at Hjejin and got scared by her dangerous persona.

"Jong-Suk, what do think of yourself, going around telling an intern about my personal life affairs? Just because you know my mother-" Again she stopped herself from crossing the line and sighed "I'm going to eat, see you later." She walked passed him.

"I can accompany you there, you know you'll be lonely there all by yourself."

Hjejin's mind filled with curse words, just a second ago she literally yelled at him and now he had the audacity to say those things to her.

"She won't be alone, I'm accompanying her" That sound made both Jong-Suk and Hjejin startled and they turned their head in the direction of the voice. It was Lee Rang who said those words, Hjejin became more frustrated at the sight of him but said nothing because it was making Jong-Suk leave. Jong-Suk looked at her direction and she waved him to go away, Jong-Suk with a heavy heart went inside the station.

"I don't remember making plans of any lunch date with you Mr Lee." She said with gritted teeth not even trying a single bit to hide her anger.

"Well I can take you 10 times better place to eat than wherever are you going now-" Lee Rang continued. "-and anyways any lieutenant, the lowest rank of police officer would happily join me for this generous offer."

Hjejin scoffed. "I will rather starve to dead than eat with a despicable man like you." Her boldness and wittiness was making Lee Rang more anxious.

Hjejin turned to walk away and Lee Rang made another comment that made Hjejin stop at her feet. "But I'll love to eat with someone like you, who is a stepdaughter of a wealthy business tycoon, who can have world at her feet but chooses to ignore all of this luxury and live her life  chasing criminals and gangsters."

Now everything seemed clear to her. "Did my mother made you do this, is she ordering you around, if yes then let me tell you this once for all its not gonna work."

Lee Rang smile grew even bigger, he got another information out of her, she hated her mother and she made it very clear. "I don't follow orders from anyone."

"Well that's make two of us then." She continued "and just because you think you know about me and my family I'll be afraid of you so you are wrong, the whole world know about my step father's life. So no I'm not going anywhere with you." Hjejin stated.

She started to walk away. "Even if I tell you about that missing cases." Lee Rang blurted. And succeeded as she stopped walking but this time she walked towards him.

"So, you're saying you know about that case?"

"Maybe, maybe not." Lee Rang shrugged. "Wanna know, then come with me, as you said to a lunch date."

What might he want from her, she was just a normal human and for a fact Lee Rang hated humans more than anything in his life so why suddenly he kept persuing Hjejin for no apparent reason.

Lee Rang sat inside his car and as Hjejin was about to seat in his car's back seat when he started honking. "It's not a taxi, sit beside me."

Hjejin stood holding his car handle for a while thinking of all the possible outcomes this would lead her to and all the outcomes consequences were taking her to one thing that was danger but still thinking that she could save so many people she was ready risk her it.

In a flash she sat beside him in the car, Jong-Suk who was watching them from inside was fuming with jealousy.

The car journey was silent, just full of awkward silence between the two, only one think other than Lee Rang that was discomforting her was her headache but she ignored it as she thought it was because of the alcohol she drank last night. Lee Rang took her to the most expensive restaurant to eat but nothing was impressing her she wanted to know about only one thing, the missing case. Lee Rang couldn't understand how could a woman be so ignorant of his charms, she has no fear in her eyes.

Atlast he took her back to the station, she got out of his car and looked at him with firm gaze.

"What, now you wanna kiss me, alright you have my consent"

Hjejin cutted him off "the information!"

"Well meet me again and I'll think about it." Lee Rang raised an eyebrow at her and drove away his car.
