Tale of an Absolute God

John, like every afternoon, went to the forest to collect firewood for the orphanage where he lives. As long as he can remember, he has always been an orphan and lived in an orphanage on the side of a small village.

This village called the Silent Forest was located in the Kingdom of Draphm. That was a medium-sized kingdom and the village was situated on the west near to the border with the Vallma mountain range.

He always walked the same marked path when collecting firewood. But this time he took a different path because he saw a strange purple-blue light in the distance. At first, he was surprised, but he would quickly recover from it, no one would speed him up.

- "Oh, what is that light or the birth of a treasure like in fairy tales, interesting, I hope it's something valuable"

He decided to go and see what the flare was, but he was not a rash person, so he decided to wait awhile first, making sure it was safe. After a moment of observation, he moved towards the strange light.

He was a curious person by nature, so he wanted to find out what could produce such a light. After approaching a distance of 10 meters, he could clearly see what emits this enigmatic light. That was a 15 cm long fillet ball lying on the ground and in the middle there were incomprehensible inscriptions emitting a blue color.

- "What is this bullet, I have no idea what it is, is it really some treasure?" He was so mesmerized by the sight that he did not notice him approaching the strange sphere more and more.

When the ball was at hand, he had an irresistible urge to touch the ball. He didn't know why he wanted to touch the ball so badly, but he felt that the urge came from the depths of his soul. Almost without thinking he caught the bullet.

Immediately upon contact, it emitted a bright purple light that blinded him completely. He felt a very pleasant warmth that gave him a strange sense of accomplishment.

[I wish this would last forever] He thought before passing out. He did not know then that today's event would change his whole life.

- "Hey, Hey, get up sleepyhead." the girl's childish voice said.

- "Hmm"

- "Everyone's wondering somewhere you've been all this time, and you're lying down and sleeping. Get up, you lazy, we still have to collect firewood before it gets dark." the voice continued.

Opening his eyes, he saw a 12-year-old girl sitting on a tree branch. She had curly black hair, big blue eyes, and a big smile on her face. She was dressed in a simple white and blue country dress, with boots a size too large on her legs.

She was staring at a good-sized boy lying on the ground, dressed in a simple white shirt and black pants. The boy had black hair and fairly normal features, brown eyes with light horseshoes underneath them.

And that boy was none other than John.

John was about to say something, but eventually gave up.

- "Oh! You usually react to my taunts, did something happen?" the girl asked. The boy did not answer anything, but stood up. As soon as they get up, they snort and nothing else.

[Which is once, how many times have I said it before, 'he sighed,' but this time I'll finally make it, and I'll be free of it] He thought.

Since that event, every time I die, there is a restart to the same point. For the first time I thought that meeting this strange object was just a dream, so I quickly forgot about it and returned to the village with Rozalina, who woke me up.

Time passed, and I joined the army, where I fought for a total of 15 years, but I did not achieve much, and finally died in one of the battles.

I was expecting a lot of things to happen after death, but I didn't expect something like this to happen. I went back in time and got a second chance. Furthermore, I did not know then that this happiness would also become my curse.

I decided not to change my path and joined the army again, but this time I had 15 years of experience at my disposal. Taking advantage of them and the knowledge of the future, I quickly advanced in the military ranks, gaining more and more merits for the kingdom.

Ultimately, after just 10 years, I was able to collect enough merit to exchange it for a piece of land and the lowest knighthood of a minor knight. I redeemed the rest of my credit and invested it.

Even though I was not interested in what happened outside the war before, I heard some information from the conversations of merchants or colleagues from the army about better origins.

For the next 5 years, I used my knowledge to multiply my wealth over 20 times. Then I built a two-story house on my land, set up a grocery store on the first floor and lived on the second floor.

And so time passed quietly, I lived a normal life until old age and my natural death.

I heard that familiar voice again and the same sentence for the third time in my life. I felt incredibly confused how it happened to be here again.

At that moment, I felt a strange feeling. I felt like I was connected to this place, but that feeling quickly faded away, leaving only a small part of it behind.

I realized that this place was the place where I had previously encountered this strange object, an object that I took to be a fiction and an ordinary dream.

Furthermore, I quickly linked it to my back in time. Not only that, but I had strange thoughts then, I thought that I had become a chosen one, that my life is to achieve greatness.

I decided to go to the army again, but this time I exchanged all my merits for further training, in order to gain skills, hoping to discover my dormant potential. I fought, I won, but eventually died again on the battlefield.

Likewise, I have come back to the past once again. But this time I was almost convinced it was my destiny. Destiny to become someone great. Haha, but I was stupid then, ah.

With my experience, it was not difficult for me in the military, because I had enough education, I could avoid spending my credit on things that I already knew.

This time I was more lucky, and I managed to live to 40 years, and thanks to the many resources I gained, I managed to reach the Gold level.

I also learned a lot of useful information. I was on the Kream Continent, one of the 14 Mortal Continents. Far beyond him and the other mortal continents were the 9 Earth continents, and at the very summit lay the Heavenly continent, which was the summit for each person.
