"Mmn…ahh…please…."
"It hurts…. It….hurts…"
"Please…."
Ho-jin's eyes immediately snapped open as the voice of the same lady kept ringing in his ears. For seven years he's been having that same weird dream…. Yet he doesn't know if he would call it a nightmare this time around.
That same dim room in that hotel. He didn't know exactly what happened but after that night, the voice of the lady kept ringing in his ears. Sitting up with a half frustrated sigh escaping his lips, Ho-jin walked down the stairs, pressing the remote for the curtains covering the window to open.
"Sir Ho-jin, are you up?" Han called from the phone which was on the side table and Ho-jin hummed loud enough for him to hear.
"Manager Mi-hi is here. She has been here for an hour now."
Ho-jin lifted his head and looked at the wall clock. It was past eight pm in the morning. He wasn't sure how long he was up that midnight unable to get any sleep because of that same voice.
"Should she cancel your shoot…."
Han didn't finish his sentence when a female voice yelled from the phone.
"You won't dare cancel the shoot Ho-jin. We've waited for two good weeks to shoot this scene and you can't just cancel it because you're in a bad mood or something. I am giving you ten minutes to get your ass down here or I would come up there and kick it for you." Ho-jin's manager, Mi-hi yelled angrily.
She was fed up with the man she had to manage his things. He was rude, arrogant and didn't care if he was affecting others with his own decisions. She knew the fact that Ho-jin never actually wanted to be a movie star and he was forced but she didn't see why he had to affect the career of the other actresses and actors.
"Do you seriously have to bark Mi-hi?" Ho-jin lazily yawned while dragging his feet towards the phone to hang it up.
"I would call grandmother now and report to her. I would have her come over and stay till we finish shooting this whole movie." Mi-hi threatened.
"I'll be down at ten." Ho-jin sighed before pressing the button to hang the phone up.
Not up to ten minutes, Ho-jin walked down the stairs in a white shirt and black pants. His hair was neatly combed to the back, his expression clearly showed he wasn't ready for the day at all.
Mi-hi, who stood at the end of the grand stairs with a frown and her arms folded across her chest stormed towards him and pulled his ears, pulling him down the stairs towards the dining room. Han, who stood not far from them, watched as the young lady pulled him to the dining table.
"You really think I won't report you to grandmother right? Ho-jin, you're making my life miserable. You're making me feel like I'm a failure as a manager. All those I've managed aren't as stubborn as you are." Mi-hi pushed him away from her before taking her seat.
"Not my business." Ho-jin sat with his nonchalant attitude as the maid opened the plate of food before him.
"Sigh. I appreciate the fact that I'm much older than you are or I'm pretty sure you would have beaten me up to this extent." Mi-hi picked up her spoon and started eating the food she had been served.
"I don't see anything bad in beating my cousin anyways. I don't see you as my manager at all. I can even beat you when I'm in front of the press." Ho-jin rested his back, dropping the spoon in his hands. "I'm full. I'll wait for you in the car, young lady. Don't keep me waiting or I'll have no other choice but to cancel the shoot again."
"You won't dare." Mi-hi stood up immediately and pulled the man by his collar, leading him out of the house. Han followed them gently, without uttering a word.
"Have you used your pills?"
Ho-jin shot her a deadly glare and she hissed before getting into the car. Ho-jin sat next to her on the passenger seat while Han sat next to the driver.
"Did you have a dream about that voice again?" Mi-hi asked as the car pulled out of the compound. He didn't reply but she already knew the answer.
"We've done all we could but still don't know where she is. And you're sure it was that night right, not another night?"
"No. I have been with different women when I'm drunk. I could recognize them even in my sleep but I can't seem to recognize her. I could only remember that part that has kept haunting me for seven years." Ho-jin grumbled, resting his head on the seat with his eyes closed.
"No evidence was found in the hotel either. It was like that event was planned." Mi-hi frowned, scrolling through the iPad with her.
"Who could it be?" Ho-jin mumbled.
"Different women whom you've broken their heart and want to get back at you by ruining your reputation." Mi-hi rested her chin on her unoccupied knuckles.
"I don't break heart…."
"You broke the hearts of lots of ladies out there. Don't try to deny it because I'm here to testify, Han is there." Mi-hi humphed and Han gulped. He didn't want to be mentioned in the conversation that morning till he was sure Ho-jin wasn't mad at him for letting Mi-hi in that morning.
"Who cares anyways. But that child I saw at the hospital, have you found anything about him?" Ho-jin asked and Mi-hi shook her head in a negative response.
"No I haven't. And right now I was wondering why you would prefer me doing things like that for you when you clearly have a personal assistant who can deal with all of that." Mi-hi rolled her eyes.
Ho-jin didn't say a word, his eyes just remained closed and his arms folded across his chest.
"Ohh.. this is so amazing. What a thrilling finding."
