Hazel sighed and watched Ethan struggle to stay awake. This wasn't the first time she's seen him like this and figured that he should've passed out after his body evolved, however, she knew that when he asked her to grab the book that he'd stay awake until he got to a point where he could stop.
On several occasions, she had found him passed out while reading a book when she went to wake him up in the morning. This is one of the reasons why she wasn't worried about his current condition.
Ethan placed his hand on his forehead and moved his hair slightly up and looked towards Hazel, then began to talk while struggling to keep his eyes open.
"While I'm passed out…. you should eat some of the meat I cut out for you…. I know you brought your portable stove…. Probably guessing that I'd hunt something down for you…. You'll be safe here as well…. I set up-"
"Yea I get it, just get some sleep. You should've passed out a long time ago, to be honest."
Ethan nodded as his hand dropped down and he collapsed onto his side, quickly after his eyes closed and a strange pressure in the room disappeared. Hazel sighed then stood up and began looking through one of her bags filled with gadgets.
She pulled out a smooth black stone that was about the size of a laptop and had a handle on each of the shorter ends, then set it onto the ground and began to channel her Mana into it. After a few minutes, she walked over to the meat and grabbed a chunk, then placed it on the stove and the meat began to sizzle.
Hazel then began to look through the same bag and got out several utensils and a plate. After a few minutes, she flipped the meat over and let the other side cook, then waited a few more minutes before cutting into it to check if it was cooked on the inside.
After perfecting the elk meat, she placed it onto the plate and pressed a button on each of the handles of the stove. Slowly all the Mana that was heating up the stone was released into the air and the stove began to cool down.
She then started to cut up the meat and let it cool for a few moments while she grabbed a water bottle from her bag with all the junk food. Once she had her water she began to eat the meat. While she was eating she watched Ethan sleep and laughed a little because he still had some of his old habits from before he consumed blood for the first time.
After a few minutes, she had finished her meal and moved back to the wall so she could sit against it, then grabbed her gaming console and launched up the same game she was playing when Ethan was evolving.

Several hours had passed since Ethan had passed out and Hazel had played her game the entire time, and much like Ethan when he was reading, she was too focused in the game to notice that she was being watched by another party.
"It's weak to steel and ghost typing…." Hazel was mumbling to herself about the mechanics of the game she was playing again.
'She still has the habit of talking to herself when playing games alone.' Ethan laughed mentally and had a slight smile on his face as he watched her. However, he started feeling the burning sensation in his throat again. 'I thought an Ancient Bloodborne would have longer before they craved blood again…. Or maybe it's because my body used up a lot of energy when it evolved and sleeping wasn't enough to restore my energy?'
He sighed then closed his eyes and looked up.
'Not trying to complain, but feeding on blood every day will become annoying…. Though I do believe that's how often Vampires need to feed, yet Bloodborne should be able to go a longer time without blood…. Is it because I'm a mixture of Ancient and Royal?
Then again if I need to feed every day that means my strength will continue to grow faster, and I'm always able to travel to the forest through the shadows if need be. Guess I don't know how I should feel about this….'
Ethan sighed then opened his eyes and looked at Hazel who was still playing her game, though she jumped when he began to talk to her but quickly regained her composure and looked up towards Ethan.
"I'm going to head out again. If you want to watch me again instead of playing your game I'll take the drone with me, otherwise, I'm leaving it here because it's just baggage when I'm fighting."
She parted her lips for a few seconds then answered him. "Yea I'll watch you again tonight. Though I thought we'd be able to spend more time together before you had to feed again, since Bloodborne are more evolved than Vampires."
Ethan rubbed the side of his head and sighed. "I thought the same thing, but I'm not technically a normal Bloodborne, to begin with, so it could be that I need to feed more often because of that. Or it's the fact that I need to feed after my evolution because of the energy it took up."
"What do you mean you're not a normal Bloodborne?"
Ethan put his hand over his mouth and chin then looked up and closed his eyes, while he tried to think of how to explain how he was different in a way she could understand since she hadn't read the book.
"I'm guessing I'm a mixture between two different ranks of Bloodborne, because of that it could be that my thirst is different than either of those ranks." He sighed and then looked down at her. "You should just read this book yourself when you have the time, you'll likely have lots of it, to be honest."
"You know reading isn't my thing, right?"
"Just think of it as reading game lore on your favorite characters, however, this time you're reading possible lore on your best friend." Ethan sighed and then spoke in a lower volume. "That's the best way I can try and convince you since I know how stubborn you can be."
