Within the castle study room- which solely belongs to the ruler of the duchy.

There sits a middle age man behind a table with a literal mountain of papers surrounding him.

His name is Erik Welser, the current lord of Ironwood Duchy.

Erik was rummaging through paperwork likely he usually does every single day for the past eight years.

A shadow then appeared behind the duke.

"How is it?" Erik asked.

"Reporting my lord, the young master is currently busying himself by reading the family martial art technique for the past seven days."

The shadow said.

Erik came to a halt upon hearing the report.

But then he continued on with his works.

"Well that's strange….knowing him- it would be the end of the world before the kid pick up a book and do something- you sure that what he's reading isn't some erotic materials disguised as some martial art technique right?"

Erik asked suspiciously.

The shadow shaded his head.

"No my lord, those are legit martial art technique- given especially for our knights and the family, I've personally gone through all of what he had read for the past seven days and I could guarantee it."

"Keep on monitoring him then, unless he's going to do something stupid- just leave him be, at least he's doing something productive for once."

The shadow nodded and headed off.

However, before he manages to leave out through the door the duke stop him.

"How's the situation on our northern province?" Erik asked.

"Nothing too important my lord- the first young master is mobilizing troop to cleanse out an infestation of the demi-human goblin tribe in the area that has been causing a headache for the local population."

He reported

Erik nodded.

"Good work, you're dismissed."

This time the shadow completely vanished without a trace.

Erik then lets out a long sigh.

"....being a lord suck...too much paperwork…." he lamented.
