All the spectators and the thugs themselves were stunned by Leonard response.

All the thugs then look at their buddy who was out cold from the punch laying on top of a broken stall, then right back at Leonard.

"KILL THAT PIECE OF SHIT!" the supposed leader then roared and gave the order to the other thugs, they all raised their weapons and charged at Leonard and Mavis.

"...you gotta be joking with me….did I just involved myself into one of those main characters cliche moment?" he mumbled in a low tone.

"What?" Mavis who was standing by his side was quite confused as to what just happened.

"Die!" the first thug to first reach close enough to him roared as he raised a wooden stick ready to strike at him.

Just before the stick would strike him Leonard stopped it by grabbing the stick.

"Huh?" the thug was confused.

Leonard pulled the weapon from the thug's hand and hit him on the head with it.

The thug was knocked unconscious with blood all over his head.

"Did that kid just kill Roam?..." one of the thugs asked nervously.

"He actually dares to kill in the city!" another called out.

"Weren't you guy the one who tried to kill me after I knocked your buddy out cold over there?" Leonard pointed at thug no.1 who was the first to get knocked out.

"uhh….we ...erm….we only would at most beat you up….you know killing someone will get you to punish severely right?!" the thug leader told Leonard.

"....oh..ok, don't worry about this dumbass, he's just asleep….probably, head wound tends to bleed a lot."

Leonard was completely speechless by the thugs, they actually afraid of the laws?

"Oh..that's a relief, now back to business! Hand over that demon or prepare to get beaten up?!" he roared again.

"...what's wrong with these idiots…." Leonard asked himself.

*smack *punch *kick

*slap *eye poking

"Now do you want me to hand over my maid to you?" Leonard asked the thug leader in a threatening tone.

The thug leader now sweating bullets.

"No no no, not anymore! Please don't hit us anymore! We surrender!"

He almost cried.

"Alright tell me, why do you want my maid?" he pulled the thug leader by the collar of his shirt up close to his face.

"We just want to sell her off to a slave trader to make some quick cash! We also heard that the church pay top price for the demon to carry out their purification ritual as well!"

The thug leader quickly spilled everything.

"....I honestly don't know if I should just beat all of you up and break all of your fingers or just to let you idiot eating prison foods for a few weeks." he glare at the bunch of thugs who were beaten black and blue.

"Hiiiiiii!!!! We take the prison! Yes, the prison! Don't hurt us anymore! Please!" he begged.

*sigh

"Fuck this...my mood totally has been ruined….fuck off." he dropped the thug leader and then walked off with Mavis.

Before he could do anything further, Leonard immediately purchases a cloak for Mavis so she could cover up her elvish feature to avoid further hassle.

"Alright perfect! That fit you nicely Mavis!" he gave her a thumb up.

"Now let return to the castle, staying out here for too long might invite us more trouble, street thugs I can handle but the last thing I want is either the church or some random crazy ass martial artist coming after our ass just so they could make a quick buck or complete their ritual."
