Chapter 3: Why is he doing that?

Televisions, radios, streams, and any type of media all currently have one topic being shown right now, and it was an attack from a monster that is being called Apex a humanoid monster having an estimated power that can topple multiple in an instant.

The Monster Apex was seen appearing in the central city, the wealthiest and most popular city among other cities known for being the place where the crystal pillar that saves humanity was being held.

"Hello Jonah Thompson here of Crystal New TV, we're here now at the monster sighting where a monster known as Apex is currently terrorizing the central city, destroying every building in sight," Jonah said looking at a camera inside a helicopter that was flying a distance away from Apex keeping their distance and trying to capture everything in camera.

"So far there are still no deaths, thanks to the immediate action of our government evacuating all the citizens currently in the central city." Jonah Thompson said commentating on the current events that are happening.

Up from the sky recording all events that are happening, the cameraman pointed to a group of people wearing armors and carrying a variety of weapons from the sword, spear, bow, and all sorts of other weapons like what would you see in heroic stories.

"what's this people, the guild central light guild has finally come with all of their elite members will this disaster finally be resolved and the monster known as Apex slain?" Jonah Thompson said as he look at the central light guild with excitement.

"Guild leader the crystal can't get a reading on the monster, it just questions mark on everything," said a woman wearing light armor and carrying a bow as a weapon. A person who is famous for being the vice guild leader of the Central light guild.

"It's fine it's just another monster, with all the elite members present we will be able to slay this monster," the guild leader of Central light guild said as he unsheathed the sword and shield he was carrying.

"LET'S SHOW THIS MONSTER CENTRAL CITY CAN'T BE MESS WITH, AS LONG AS CENTRAL LIGHT GUILD IS AROUND" Shouted the guild leader as all the members started to move in Apex's direction.

All the members of the central light guild shouted as their morale peeked at the highest and rush towards Apex's direction.

"Piercing Heaven Arrow" The vice guild leader as she let go of the string of the bow launching an arrow of light that could pierce the hardest of material as it head straight to Apex's head.

Apex was looking at a group of people at a distance that was shouting, Seeing this group of people Apex cast his gaze as he looked past them and felt the presence of the Crystal pillar that was residing in the heart of Central city contained and protected by a fortress which is the Central light guild residence.

Looking in the direction of the Crystal pillar Apex's hand quickly move to catch an arrow with his hand that was heading straight for his head.

"how annoying" Apex said looking at the group of people that was moving towards him.

Holding the arrow in his hand a surge of power emitted red and blackish light that went straight into the arrow he was holding, The arrow began to crystalize as it began to form into a crystal javelin.

Apex looked at the woman holding a bow that was currently pulling the string ready to shoot another arrow straight for him.

Apex raised the crystal javelin in his hand and threw the javelin swiftly straight into the direction of the woman with a bow.

A member of the central light guild equipping heavy armor with a bulky shield looked at Apex and intuitively predicted the direction of the javelin, the man thought in his mind the javelin will move right above them heading straight down in the direction of the vice guild leader who was behind them firing an arrow to deal damage and to support their members.

Wearing heavy armor and a bulky shield in hand, the man slowly squatted as veins started to pop up in his legs and jump straight into the sky leaving a crack in the ground, right in the path of the javelin, the man face his shield to block the javelin heading in front of him.

However as the javelin collided with the shield that the man was using, the man was wide-eyed as he saw the javelin has penetrated the shield that he was holding and passed right through his body removing a large chunk of his body.

The Javelin that was heading in a path straight into the vice guild leader's heart slightly change its trajectory due to the life of one of the elite members of the central light guild blocking it with his life, but even with all the obstacles that block the javelin it was not enough to thoroughly change its trajectory and instead of piercing the vice guild leader heart, the javelin collided with bow destroying it and removing the vice guild leader entire left arm.

The vice guild leader collapsed on the ground bleeding heavily as the javelin got stuck into the ground.

Looking back the guild leader saw the immediate damage Apex was able to do, still thinking of the life of his comrades the guild leader was filled with anger along with the other members of the group as they unleash a variety of powerful attacks at Apex who was no in range of their attack.

"Charge" With a barrage of attacks from all the members of the Central light guild, The guild leader rush as he charged straight at Apex holding his shield in front of him.

"shield impact," the guild leader said stopping his charge as the shield began to shrink and gave Apex an uppercut in the stomach with the shrank shield in his hand sending Apex flying in the air.

With Apex in the air, the guild leader's sword started to shine in brilliant light enveloping the entire area in light.

"Radiant slash" the guild leader slashes his sword creating an arc of light that hit Apex in mid-air.

Having a barrage of attack being delivered to him and with the most powerful attack of the guild leader colliding with his body in mid-Air, Apex fall from the sky dropping to the ground unmoving.

"WE DID IT," the guild leader said raising his sword, all the elite members cheered at the sight of the monster down on the ground as they also began to raise their weapons.

"a few members that know first aid or healing immediately ran towards their fallen comrade which was the guy that was wearing heavy armor and the vice guild leader.

However as the cheering went on Apex's body began to twitch as it slowly stood back up again on its two feet, the cheering stop as everybody was alerted yet again and readied their weapon.

The guild leader began to make the first move slashing his sword towards Apex swiftly but before everyone can blink Apex already had his hand penetrating the guild leader's stomach.

The guild leader collapsed on the ground his body aching in pain, his stomach bleeding heavily and his face looking at Apex with piercing eyes.

"da…the ce..central light guild has fallen, Is this the end for the central city? Will there be no one to stop the monster Apex? " Jonah Thompson said with a low and stuttering voice and worried eyes as he kneeled in the flying helicopter and look at from the sky as the Monster Apex was killing the central light guild members one at a time.

At the heart of the city was the pillar made of crystal was being contained safely and protected, The crystal began to glow creating a brilliant light that shot up straight into the sky creating a beacon for everyone to see.

The helicopter moved as it tried to head in the direction of the beacon of light.

"Will we be saved yet again? Will another miracle happen? Will there be hope? " Jonah Thompson said as his face was caught in the camera tears can be slightly in his eyes as he looks at the brilliant light in front of him.

Everyone who was watching the news was all scared, afraid that the past will repeat itself where humanity was unable to fend for itself, some people were still hoping and praying at the pillar of crystal wishing to make yet another miracle while some have lost hope as they watch the news with dead eyes.

However, there was one person, a kid watching the news thinking to himself ' why is he doing that?'

A silhouette appeared in the beacon of light as a woman slowly came out wearing a beautiful garment adorned with beautiful crystals.

The woman began to look at her surrounding with her gaze stopping in the direction of Apex, She looked at Apex from a distance with contempt as she started to move at an unimaginable speed and arrive at the front of Apex.

Jonah Thompson and the rest of his crew were filming everything as they witness a fight between the Crystal goddess and Apex.
