"For you to fully gain control of my body, you must complete my dying wish."

"Your dying wish? What's that?" Kael asked with a frown.

"My race, I want you to bring them back to their former glory."

"Ok, I'll do that." Kael said without much thought. After all, he won't be there to watch him since he would be long gone. Yet, he couldn't help but feel a slight guilt just from his thoughts.

"If it's within my power, I'll carry it out," he thought, trying to assure himself.

"Do you think I'm a fool? You should know I'm a being above your normal standard. You don't think I've planned everything out. Do you think your coming here was by luck? This was a sacrifice I had to make just for my race, and I'll make sure it gets fulfilled even after my death!"

"If it's within my power and doesn't affect my path in whatsoever way, then I'll carry it out." kael said with a serious expression.

"That won't do, but no worries all have been set in place. But know this, without my powers, you won't achieve anything in this world with just this body. This world is filled with beings far more powerful than you can imagine."

"Remember your promise. Free my race from the depths of this abyss." His voice sounded a bit distant this time around as if fading away.

"Abyss? I'm actually in the Abyss?!" He exclaimed with a shock expression. No wonder everything seemed strange here. The darkness, the weird terrain and the echoes of voices that would filter into his ears at times. "So, how do I get them out of here?!"

"You are too weak to do so now. Find a way out of this place and just grow stronger for now. I've created someone who will assist you in your journey."

"Alright, I can't promise you, but I'll try my best to fulfil your wish." Kael muttered. All of a sudden, a dark screen with white letters appeared before his face.

Kael stared in shock as he read the words floating before his face. "A... system? Hahaha! I'm truly lucky this time around." Getting a body with great strength and now a system. He was already starting to imagine how his life would turn out just with the system.

He was well aware of how great a system was due to the number of novels he had read.

"Don't get carried away." He slapped his cheeks, causing the drool at the corner of his mouth to drop to the ground. "Let's see, system status."

Scratching his head, he settled down on one of the dead bodies around the area. "My stats are half bad, but it's a great start. What's with the low stat in Intelligence?"

"Arghh," Kael groaned in pain, grasping his head tightly. "Ugh, it hurts." He muttered in pain. The process continued over an hour before it was completed.

Kael felt his brain being bombarded with an influx of memories. Fifteen minutes passed, and soon, it came to an end. "This…" Kael couldn't help but mutter. He felt the emotions and traits of the previous owner being merged with his own. His once bright and cheerful countenance went through a change accompanied by a system prompt.

A strange glint now appeared in his eyes, which grew even darker like two voids spiralling into the bottomless pit of the abyss. His once normal aura transformed into an ominous presence, exuding an unsettling energy.

"Can I even tell if I'm still the same person?" He thought, clenching his fist tightly. The memories he had taken in were so high that he felt his head about to explode. The thing was that he couldn't even comprehend most of them as if like a juggled puzzle. "It doesn't matter. What's been done can't be undone." He shook his head, rising from the body of the beast.

Staring at the beast on the floor, he suddenly felt an unexplainable urge to consume it. Yet, an underlying disdain was mixed with this feeling. As if the beast weren't up to his standard.

"Yeah, I know that," he muttered. "The energy, I can sense it more than before. Is this linked to the Abyssal energy." He said, scratching his head.

With a mental command, he gained access to his Abilities and Skills.

- Blink: Enables host to teleport within short distances.

- Void eyes (low): The void eyes enable the host to sense and see the energy within the surroundings and in one's body.

- Void Sense (low): Host can literally sense all things within his surroundings (limited to a certain region due to host low level)

[Gravity Manipulation (S)]

- Gravity Aura: Host can surround and manipulate the gravity around him.

-Gravity Pull: Enables host to attract objects towards himself.

-Gravity Repulsion: Enables host to repel/push objects away from himself.

[Abyssal Energy Manipulation (???)]

- Abyssal Heart (Passive skill): Host has developed a cold and ruthless heart/personality due to his past experiences and time spent in the Abyss. The abyssal heart is where host abyssal energy and powers are stored.

- Abyssal Regeneration: Host is able to make use of the abyssal energy to heal wounds.

[To unlock more skills under the abyssal energy manipulation the host must first learn the basics about abyssal energy and gain control over it]

After going through his abilities and skills, he realised the power system was based on the grading letters: F-, F+, F --> E-, E+ E --> D-, D+, D --> C-, C+, C -->B-, B+, B --> A-, A+, A --> S-, S+, S --> SS-, SS+, SS --> SSS-, SSS+, SSS. Just like in the books he had read.

Due to the limited memories, he wasn't sure if there was more to it outside this realm. "The abilities are extremely strong," he thought. The abyssal energy was another complex stuff which he needed to handle delicately.

Having abilities in the SS levels, he was sure this was all due to the luck tab. "Maybe that was the gift that was granted to me back then by that being."
