Chapter 5

For strengthening formula, it will only need two types of materials depended on the type of the magic beast. Every formula will be used to increase one of the magic beast parameters. Either its attack, defense, speed, energy or skill.

Strengthening can only be done three times for each rank. Once a parameter was strengthened, they cannot strengthen it again unless the magic beast rose in rank.

Zane was looking at the five strengthening formula and he did not know what he should be focusing on. Zane wanted Wulie to become strong in attacking. However, Wulie's defense stat was his best and his skill was a defensive skill too.

Attack Formula – Cotton Sheep meat + Attack up crystal

Defense Formula – Cotton Sheep skin + Defense up crystal

Speed Formula – Cotton Sheep leg bone + Speed up crystal

Energy Formula – Cotton sheep magic core + Energy up crystal

Cotton Guard 2 Formula – Cotton fur + Cotton Sheep Magic Core + Cotton element gem

Looking at the formula, Zane sighed because first, he did not know what should he raised and second, there was still a lot of material he did not have.

"Formula… aren't you the best? You can make the formula for the dark tarantula curse antidote; can you somehow make a formula to raise all stats at the same time?" asked Zane. Zane was just joking but suddenly the formula system processing something and new formula appeared. Zane looked at the formula and he was totally shocked.

All Increase Formula (Attack, Defense, Speed, Energy) – Whole Cotton Sheep + 2 Attack Up crystal + 2 Defense Up crystal + 2 Speed Up Crystal + 2 Energy Up crystal.

Cotton Guard 2 Formula – Cotton fur + Cotton Sheep Magic Core + Cotton element gem

"Formula system!! You are the best!!" exclaimed Zane happily. However, Zane realized something, "Formula, you know that I can strengthen my magic beast three times but I only have two formulas… is it possible to have other things that I can strengthen? Or else, I am wasting my chance to strengthen Wulie," asked Zane.

Just like what Zane wanted, the formula system worked one more time, however, it took the formula system a while before it came up with something. 30 minutes of processing, Zane kind of lose hope but suddenly the formula system stopped and four formula appeared. Two of them was the All Increase Formula and Cotton Guard 2 Formula and the other two was completely new and unheard-of formula for Zane.

"There are formulas like this too? I never heard of magic beast with this stat," Zane stared at the new formula.

Sheep Bloodline Activation Formula – 10 whole sheep type magic beasts + Activation Crystal + sheep gem.

Cotton Bloodline Activation Formula – 10 whole cotton type magic beasts + Activation Crystal + cotton element gem.

"Bloodline… what does bloodline do?" asked Zane. He never heard of bloodline before. Zane did not know if someone knew about the bloodline things but it looked to be something big as the formula system took a while to came up with it.

'Bloodline is a special stat all living being possess that is dormant in their bodies. Once activated, the bloodline will increase their stats related to the bloodline for a while' explained the formula system.

"Then, what bloodline should I activate? The sheep bloodline or the cotton bloodline?" Zane pondered for a while. "No matter which bloodline I activated, I need to collect the material first… Formula, the formula given to me was not that hard to figure out but why is it no one found out about the bloodline formula?"

'Someone already found out about the bloodline formula however, he did not spread it because the process of making the formula is extremely complicated. Host can easily create the formula thanks to processing system doing everything for you' said formula system.

"Owh, okay," said Zane. "All the materials for all this formula can be found in the market but they are expensive, I will need lots of money to get them," said Zane.

'Host can buy one and increase their count using the other system. All the living being materials can be raised using the ranch system and the minerals can be raised using the mine system' said formula.

"I know, but I still needs money to buy one of them. The cheapest one is the cotton sheep and that alone cost me almost 1000 gold. I need to sell lots of cotton apples before I can buy them," said Zane. Suddenly, the formula system automatically processing something.

Rank 2 Cotton Apple Formula – 100 000 cotton apples

Zane stared at the new formula blankly and he immediately stood up from his seat, "Formula, you can do something like this? And cotton apples have rank too?"

'Yes, it is possible for me to create a formula to upgrade the materials. However, the formula can only be created if the host already planted it or raise it using the system. Everything in this world have ranks. With host current strength, only Rank 2 formula can be created'

Zane nodded and he figure out of something, "Formula, can you create a formula to create the water of life?" asked Zane. Zane asked about the water of life because the water of life was the only materials for the antidote that only needed a drop of it. Zane assumed that the water of life was extremely rare or there might be only a few drops of them.

The formula system answered, 'Impossible to create because host strength is too low'

Upon hearing the formula system answer, Zane knew how hard it will be to get the water of life. Zane wondered if he can multiply the water of life using the system but there were none of the systems he possessed that can multiply the water of life.

'Host can use the mine system to get more of water of life once host obtain it in the future. Any water related materials are count as mineral and thus can be raised using the mine system' said the formula system.

"That is great then. I can create more of the antidote when I get the water of life," said Zane. Zane started planning for strengthening Wulie. He needed money first to buy all of them and his best money-making product was the cotton apples. Zane decided to upgrade the cotton apples to rank 2 first to get more money and he will buy a cotton sheep first to raise it and sold it on the virtual world for cheaper price and gained more money. He will need to collect the cotton apples for few more days to reach 100 000 and Zane also stopped selling the cotton apples for a few days.

Zane told Wulie about his plan and Wulie agree with whatever Zane wanted to do.

A few days later.

School went on without much problem. There were combat class and Zane was able to see his party members magic beast ability. Currently, no one in his party abled to synchronize with their magic beasts.

Takeshi said he had a feeling that he will be able to do that soon. Among all the members in Zane's party, Takeshi was the earliest to awaken. He awakened a year earlier than Zane. Zane was the last one to awaken among their group. Winnie was second followed by Lena and Leon.

Among all the magic beast, Leon's burning orb had the most offensive attack followed by Winnie's thunder butterfly, Lena's shadow cat, Takeshi's perceptive shiba inu and Zane's cotton sheep.

For support, Takeshi's perceptive shiba inu was the best with his skill, movement prediction. Lena's shadow cat came second followed by Zane's cotton sheep, Winnie's thunder butterfly and Leon's burning orb.

For defense, Zane's cotton sheep at the top with the cotton guard skill and the others was around the same. Looking at the situation, Zane thought that he should raised Wulie with defense as its main strength but Zane did not need to worry much because he can raise all Wulie's stats in one go once he obtained all the materials.

Lena ended up becoming the leader and Takeshi was the vice leader. Lena had the aptitude for a leader and thus everyone votes for her. Their party was currently planning on taking an easy mission for their first mission to test their ability in real battle. They were not in a rush as they decided to do it at the beginning of February.

Zane saw many parties took a mission even when they were only a week into high school and they came home with heavy injuries because they did not prepare properly. Lena did not want her party member ended up like them and they decided to strengthen themselves first before they went on a mission.

Zane was happy with Lena's decision as he will have enough time to at least strengthen the cotton guard skill. If everything goes well, Zane might be able to even able to activate the bloodline. Wulie finally level up to 4 a few day ago.

Zane went to the hospital like usual. After a few days collecting the cotton apples, Zane finally had enough to upgrade the cotton apples to Rank 2.

"I cannot wait to see the Rank 2 cotton apples," said Zane excitedly. Zane activated the formula system and chose the rank 2 cotton apples formula and processed it using the processing system. The processing system process the materials and a 1-hour timer appeared.

"Zane, let me taste it first when you harvest the first batch of the rank 2 cotton apples," said Wulie. When Zane told Wulie that he can upgrade the cotton apples to rank 2, Wulie was extremely happy. Cotton apples from the system was extremely delicious for Wulie and it helped him level up faster too. So, Wulie cannot wait to taste the rank 2 cotton apples.

"Don't worry, I will let you taste it first and ask your review before I sell it," said Zane while smiling. He cannot simply sell it without knowing its effect as it might cause problem later if the product had a problem.

Zane needed to wait an hour before the upgrade finished. He did not want to waste time so he decided to study. While Zane was at school, Zane found out one more function of the formula system.

Zane had a hard time solving a physics calculation problem. He got a headache trying to solve it. In his time of needs, the formula system gallantly gave him a solution to the question. From the formula to use to solve the question to the method of solving the question using the formula it provided.

Zane was stunned to see that function of the formula system. The formula system not only gave the materials needed to strengthen or mutated a magic beast but also the processed of making it. The formula system was really a convenience system.

However, Zane felt that he should only used the formula system to solve his studies problem only during the learning process. Using it during exam was totally cheating. No one can see the system and thus it was a perfect cheat device.

Zane was not that kind of person. He hated cheating. He knew that it was part of his ability but it was unfair to other students who worked hard studying day and night to get a good mark in test and examination.

Zane started studying until the upgrade finished. An hour later, the processing system informed Zane that the upgrade was done. Zane opened the system and he received a small glass bottle with a whitish red liquid inside it.

"What is this?"

'Pour this liquid on the cotton apples and the cotton apples will upgrade to Rank 2. Then, host can turn the rank 2 cotton apple into seeds and plant it inside the farming system' said the processing system.

"So, every upgrade after this will be like this?" asked Zane.

'Yes.' Answered the processing system.

Zane took out a cotton apple and pour the upgrade liquid onto it. Once the whitish liquid hit the cotton apple, the cotton apple shone.
