Training

"[Ascending flame sword art]"

Lee on seeing the name of the first black scroll, didn't blink an eye before he diverted his gaze away from it.

He waited a bit for Springdove to view the second scroll, after few moments the lad shook his head, it seemed he wasn't interested in it.

"[Wind scattering tornado sword art]" Lee on seeing the name of the second scroll, had a tiny glint of interest flash across his eyes.

He then read through it, it enabled one to embark on a destructive sword path, in the sense that one would be able to create formidable sword attacks with the force that equaled that in tornados!

Lee nodded his head, and turned his gaze towards the third, it was then that he discovered that he was the only one left among the three, Charles had chosen the first scroll, as he had expected the lad trained on the path of fire, as for Springdove he picked the third which Lee was yet to check.

"Hurry up Lee, make your choice!" Uncle Brown said hurriedly.

Lee nodded his head and immediately read through the third scroll, it was a defensive- type sword art, he wasn't interested.

Lee quickly moved towards the last and on seeing the name his heart skipped a bit.

"[Eight mysterious seals sword art ]"Lee anxiously read through it, the art dealt with the flexibility of the sword, speed, and attack power.

At the epitome when one was able to form eight seals they would even be able to deal a dangerous blow on a ring cultivator.

Lee gasped and couldn't help but feel shocked, only a tier four sword art had that ability, and this [ Eight mysterious seals sword art] claimed to be able to do so, extremely wonderful!

"I pick these!" Lee quickly turned towards Uncle Brown and calmly spoke.

Surprised flashed in the eyes of Uncle Brown, as he stared at Lee with a bit of concern.

" Are you sure lad, this art is extremely difficult to train, your father spent years before he could finally complete it, I advice you to drop it and pick something else, it's a complete waste of time!"

Lee was surprised to hear Uncle Brown's word, but even still his decision didn't change, he wasn't interested in any of the other arts, he isn't is father and so he believed he had a chance at it, then a determined glint flashed across his eyes.

Uncle Brown on seeing the youthful stubbornness in Lee, couldn't help but sigh.

" You can return it back, and pick another one if you find it difficult" Uncle Brown spoke with assurance in his tone, that Lee would come running back.

"Yes, Uncle Brown!"

" Hmmph, trying to act mysterious and talented, you don't know what's good for you!" Charles chuckled wickedly as he stared at Lee.

Lee who's mind was clouded with the thought of wielding his sword enforced with the mysterious seals didn't bother to reply, but Azure did the job of replying with it's jaw.

" Let's go get the copies!"

********

"Swoosh!" " Swoosh!"

With the sound of rushing and swirling winds, Lee's sword flashed around as he fiercely hacked, and pierced the air.

Lee after training for a long time suddenly halted and then began to breath heavily, with a thud he sat on the floor of the courtyard of his house, his father's to be precise.

Immediately Lee received the scroll he dashed towards home and then began to train on the art.

He crossed his legs and then began to meditate to recover his lost energy, at his stage the level of qi he could absorb from the surrounding was very poor, most of his spiritual paths were unopened, at a stage like this he needed several mystical cores from mystical beast. The pure energy present in the core would aid in opening spiritual paths, but at his stage he was far from killing any mystical beast, even a very weak star one mystical beast would kill him with one strike, only when he becomes a fifth stage spiritual refinement cultivator can he have the chance!

He stared at the icy sword that laid beside him and couldn't but shake his head, he was still miles away from unleashing the power present in it, when he had trained with it, he could feel how deadly sharp it was, when he applied [Shadow piercing sword art] the might was unbelievable, though Lee was only at the initial mastery of the art, he still couldn't unleash the strength in his mastery, due to his low cultivation stage.

Xiao..

Like a flash a white cub suddenly appeared in front Lee, the smooth white fur on it's face were stained with fresh blood, hanging on it's teeth was a stone undulating pure energy, inside the stone one could see a yellow light flashing all around, making one to conclude, that the object hanging on Azure's teeth was not ordinary!

"Mystical core!" Lee screamed and immediately lost his cool, he immediately rose up and began to scan Azure's body to check for an injury, but surprisingly he found none, only few scratches and some torn fur.

He stared at the face of Azure who had a confused look on it's face, wondering what Lee was doing.

"Did Azure kill a mystical beast" Lee couldn't help but ask himself, he found it had to believe, but the facts laid bare in front of him, with the scratches and blood on Azure's face, it showed the beast had engaged in a battle.

"But how is this posssssiblee" Lee couldn't help but yell, he felt his head turn.....It was entirely bizarre!

Azure dropped the mystical core on the ground and pushed it with it's head towards Lee.

Lee was entirely surprised, he was currently in need of mystical cores and had decided to burden his father for this, how Azure knew he was in need of mystical cores baffled him, it had never done such before!. "Can Azure read minds?!" Lee couldn't help but ask himself as he stared at the cute looking cub.

" Azure I can't take this, you worked for it!" Though he was in need of it, he felt he would be a bit shameless if he took it.

He pushed it back towards the white cub, but surprisingly it shook it's head and like a white light dashed towards the area of the forest that situated beside Wateredge.

He stared at the core and breathed heavily, thoughts of Azure's strange act overflowed his head.

He shook his head and grabbed his sword rose up and began training again. He was just in the middle of his training when he saw Azure appear once again with a mystical core, it dropped it on the ground and before Lee could say word, it disappeared!

******

Two weeks passed like a flash, and within this short range Lee made a breakthrough to the second spiritual refinement stage, all thanks to Azure who had been constantly supplying him with mystical cores, after seeing that Azure didn't stop bringing cores, he decided to start using them to cultivate.

"Swoosh" " Swoosh "

Lee jerked his arms and several icy-blue shadows filled the air, Blueflame as Lee had named his sword pierced through those countless shadows and danced in Lee's hands like a fish in water, Lee leaped into the air and fiercely hacked a tree nearby.

Like knife slicing through butter, Blueflame sliced the tree into two.

Lee pulled the sword back and with a flick of his hands, Blueflame vanished.

He stared at the damage he had done and nodded.

"Even though I'm yet to form the third seal the power of this technique can already rival some low tier two sword art, it is really formidable, Uncle Brown was right this technique is difficult!" Lee smiled bitterly, two weeks to form only two seals, it saddened Lee, but he didn't regret his actions, it was worth it. Little did he know that if his father or Uncle Brown found out he was able to form two seals in only two weeks they would almost spit blood.
