Yuri, who stood before his desk, shook his head. "Not at all, sir. Why do you ask?"
Caesar was a bit reluctant, but he eventually said, "Something is wrong with my wife. But she won't tell me."
"What makes you think that?" Yuri probed, curious.
"Something was off about her when I came back. She was…" Caesar paused for a second. "She was crying."
"Huh?" Yuri immediately furrowed his brows. "That's i-impossible. I saw her an hour again before you came back and she looked just fine. She even went to the garden at the back to take care of the flowers herself."
Now, Caesar was even more confused. If what Yuri said was true, then what was going on? Adeline wouldn't just cry for no reason.
He smelt her nervousness and he could even hear the way her heart was racing too fast as if she was frightened. What happened while he was gone? What wasn't she telling him?
