Adeline nodded, taking a seat on his lap. She was pulled flush against his chest, his hands resting on her hips.
"Adeline, do you think I wouldn't leave anything for you?" Caesar questioned, his eyes boring into hers.
Adeline swallowed, realizing he sought a different answer from her. "You…would?"
"You're uncertain, aren't you?" Caesar's thumb rubbed her bottom lips, his fingers under her jaw.
"Would you?" Adeline asked, genuinely curious.
"Would I?" A smirk. Caesar nibbed her lips, kissing the sides, her cheeks, and all the way to her ear. He whispered, "I'd leave everything for you if you don't know."
"If you called and told me you needed me, I'd be with you in a heartbeat." His hot breath fanned her skin, and he purred against her shoulder, slipping his hand under her shirt to caress her back.
