Adeline smiled and threw a leg over his hip before extending her hand to cup his cheek. "Caesar, what's wrong? Why is your mood horrible? You were fine in the morning."
Caesar didn't respond, rather, he nuzzled closer to her palm before inhaling her scent, almost as if it were the only drug that could ever cure him of whatever was going on with him.
"You don't want to tell me?" She was desperate for an answer.
Caesar shook his head at her in response. "My rut ends today, princess." He cupped her hands in his larger one, bringing it to his lips to kiss it. "It messes with my mood, that is why I'm like this. I'll be fine by tomorrow morning."
Oh! It finally made sense to her. His heat cycle was coming to an end.
A warm smile meant for him emerged on her lips, and she moved in, kissing his lips gently. "I see," she mumbled.
"Let me stay here with you."
"And that little thing?" Caesar arched an offended brow.
