DEMION'S POINT OF VIEW
After what felt like an eternity, I heard her soft voice from the other side of the door. "Go away, Demion," she said, her voice tinged with sadness and frustration.
I took a deep breath, and my resolve was strengthened by her response. "Please, just a few minutes," I pleaded, my voice filled with sincerity.
The door opened slowly, and I saw her standing there, her eyes red from tears she had shed in solitude. Her vulnerability tugged at my heart, but I knew I had to tread carefully.
"I'm sorry for pushing," I began, my voice gentle. "I just couldn't bear the distance between us. I need you to know that I never wanted to hurt you, and I regret every mistake I made."
She looked at me, her expression guarded, but I could see a glimmer of curiosity in her eyes. I took a step closer, giving her space but also showing her that I was willing to be vulnerable.
