Chapter 8

I am now 3 years old, after that assassination attempt none have came again. My sister has been able to walk and speak even though she wasn't as fluent as me. Since no one comes to our palace I usually hangout in the garden with A Qi (adding a in front of the name is just a culture) and Hua. A Qi is older than me but I was the more protective one. "A Qi, do you want to make flower crowns?"

"Yes Xuan let make some. We can bring back some to mother." she replied. Hua laughed at our cute remarks. We started collecting flowers for the crown when I realized that me and A Qi was separated from Hua. A Qi was freaking out when from behind us we heard people's chattering approaching us. Before we had time to move we saw two people with servants and maid following.

"Hmphh you have seen their Imperial Highness and you don't bow and greet them!" said one of the maids. That made me realize who they were. They are the 5th and 6th princesses, Bai Wu and Mei Chou respectively, they were born from 2 of the 4 noble consorts.

"Bow down you filthy rags." said another maid and immediately 4 servants made us bow down. "that is more right" continued the maid.

From the distance I could hear Hua calling out "Your Highnesses where are you?" and soon she reached us. "Your Highnesses" she shouted, "Release them do you not know who they are."

"Who are they for them not to bow to me?" said Bai Wu. "Your Imperial Highness, this is the 17th and 18th Grand Princess" replied Hua.

"Oh so it is a misunderstanding. Seems like I didn't recognize my sisters." said Mei Chou, "Release them."

Hua was just saying "Thank y-" when Bai Wu said, "Oh but isn't the servant disrespectful. In front of a imperial princess she dares to raise her voice and lecture. Guards hit her 25 times that should teach her a lesson." Before I could do anything they grabbed Hua and started beating her.

"Oh and for you younger sisters we will be meeting soon on your 4th birthday." and they walked away. I and A Qi didn't know what to do and couldn't do anything to defend Hua. When they were done Hua was a bloody mess. A Qi also already fainted. Soon mother came running with maids, witnessing the situation she immediately jumped into action telling the maids to bring Hua in while carrying me and A Qi inside.
