Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

You're Welcome

"Great! Now, everybody's here. Shall I begin then?" Obsidia asked. With a clap of her hands, the area around us was closed off with Black Strands, encasing all of her targets and the Arkians from within. Khalil and Mizu looked confused at the new person with us, that being Red, and Mizu even walked up to her to greet her while keeping Obsidia in the corner of her eye.

"Anyway, we need to focus on you once again Nova. You see, I've decided that this is largely your fault. This entire situation. The thrill you get for planning against Sky's demise had thrown us all into the bottom of a pit we commonly call 'failure' and 'despair' and now you're sitting here with no tongue, begging to not be killed." Obsidia said. She kicked Nova in the face, launching her a few inches into the air before she fell onto her back.

"You know what comes next, don't you? Hide away for as long as you can. Not even your telescope into the future can find a way to escape this situation." Obsidia pointed to Cynthia, who was stuck in her position.

The hold she had over multiple people was astonishingly large. I couldn't believe that she was dealing with almost twenty people alone. I guess if she's using Faith's body and powers, it could be justified since she was the daughter of Illya.

I began to think about the repercussions of Obsidia taking over. I had never seen Wrath accumulate this much in Sky, but watching it spew out of Faith like the stench from a dead body was worrying. She was unstoppable and unpredictable.

"How long until you start killing innocent people? Huh? How long until you become a national threat as well? You were always a time bomb, waiting to go off." Cynthia said. Obsidia turned her head chuckling, confused by her remark.

"Yes, that was definitely me who attacked Alicas that day and hoped to destroy the city to weaken Sky."

"Anybody who is allied with Sky is an enemy."

"And the opposite is true for me." Obsidia shot back and forth with Cynthia, eventually shutting her up before tapping the side of her head with her left hand.

"Oh...oh I got it. You're stalling, aren't you?" Obsidia asked Cynthia. She froze under the assumption, and Obsidia smiled once more.

"Got it." She said.

Obsidia raised an Iridescent Saber into the air and plunged it down straight into the center of Nova's head. Brains were splattered everywhere and her body exploded into nothing but red and pink mist from the force of Strands. Coated in the matter that was expelled from her body, Obsidia twisted her neck to crack it, staring directly at Mizu through the mist.

"And you don't even care about your mom. She's dead. D-E-A-D. You won't ever see her again. I know, you probably thought that with Khalil's help, you could set her on the path of redemption...but that's not the case. No, you waited too long. Some people don't deserve redemption." Obsidia suggested.

"What do you want, Obsidia?" Cynthia was getting annoyed now. It would be interesting to see something she could do in this scenario that would result in everybody being freed.

"What I want is simple. I've been given a task by Hikari Asterio to kill Cynthia, Nova, and Netsu, and the parents that are with them. Can't really mess that up, can I?" She responded.

"No...I know what you want. Oh, I can see it in the future. You obtain what you want from this encounter...maybe even because of this deal." Cynthia vaguely said.

Obsidia turned her head with interest to Cynthia, looking at her up and down, then smiling. "Go on."

"I'll give you what you really want if you bring Netsu and Nova back. I'll let you have the lives of the parents. Hell, I'll even help you kill them." Cynthia said to everybody. Obsidia smiled, nodding her head up and down, and pushing Iridescent Strands into the mist still looming in the air, and Netsu's body.

From the ground up, both Nova and Netsu were recreated by the Strands, sucking in deep breaths and falling to their hands and knees.

"What did you see when you died?" Obsidia asked the two. Cynthia was confused by her question.

"It was just...black...nothingness...what the hell was that?" Nova said. She put her hands over her body, looking up at Cynthia, then Obsidia.

"A preview," Obsidia said.

She faded into blue light and ended up behind Cynthia with a saber pulled back behind her head. Cynthia blocked it with a saber of her own, clashing together with Obsidia.

"I don't need your meager deals to fulfill my goals. I'm the strongest person here, you think I need your help, you puny girl?" Obsidia asked.

Her overwhelming strength launched Cynthia into another cliff, collapsing it on top of her body as Netsu and Nova were once again turned into nothing but pink mist. This time, however, Obsidia absorbed their mist into her hands and used it to turn an Iridescent Saber into a red one. She ran at Cynthia once more, pulling the saber down from the sky to the ground, watching her scramble to get out of the way.

"It's so nice! Look at you, running for your obsolete life!" Obsidia screamed. Everybody around me was getting fearful of their lives. I had to do something.

"Don't be afraid...she's going to protect us, even if she's a murderous girl. She wants us to watch for some reason..." I attempted to reassure everybody, but even I knew it couldn't be true. She was simply dangerous, and there was no way out.

Fighting Obsidia seemed otherworldly. We were safe being silent and watching, so I wasn't sure why we would try anything else. Until I saw two orbs bounce off of the chest of a parent running away.

That guy...he has Sky...
