--Sky's Perspective--
As the ground rumbled and popped out five Rubeki, all ready to cling to my throat to end my life, I swung my hand widely and cut through them with a few Golden Strands stuck in an intersecting path.
Slicing through the Rubeki, I narrowed my eyes on the citizens around Dani and me. They were naturally fearful for their lives, looking back and forth while searching for a way out from the dangerous monsters they had just seen.
"Sky, what's going on?" Dani asked me. I analyzed the scene around me, covering the buildings as far as my Strands could reach with impenetrable golden strands, waiting to see what danger would introduce itself.
"The Rubeki are back. I daresay that somebody dangerous has followed. If Providence is dead, it has to be another man of the same scale," I commented. As I finished my suggestion, from in front of me, I could see Ultima, Netsu, and my sister, Cynthia, all amassing and crossing their arms.
"Not just that, but not far off. It's been a while, little brother. Now that I have you far from Antarctica, it's a lot easier to fight you like this," Cynthia said. She must've known that I had Strands looming around the continent, searching for any signs of her. That's why she waited until I left.
"I assume it was you who sent that man... what was his name again? Finlis Vega?"
"You're dead on. Completely like I expected, you handled him with ease and allowed me to formulate the next parts of my plan. You fall victim to every single thing, I swear," Cynthia chuckled. She formed a weird weapon, with three points coming from one handle. It looked as if a sword was shortened to a quarter of its length, and was stuffed together with itself three times.
"I'm watching over your daughter, Ultima. Netsu, I never thought you would come to counteract what life I'm trying to live. Although, I suppose that's the natural stream of things, isn't it? So! Do you have a specific order you'd like to take me on? Or, we can do three at once..." I muttered.
As soon as I finished my enticing reply to my sister's threats, I noticed that a few raindrops fell from the sky. I found it to be weird since it was a sunny day but ignored it for a moment. Until the final one hit the ground.
The oddity of the raindrops completely passed over my head until I felt a strange presence looming around me. The droplets of rain landed in a circle, completely around Dani and me. I kicked the ground with her hand in mine and pushed us back ten feet away from the people materializing from the strands that came from each raindrop.
Ten people.
When I observed them, they looked insanely familiar to me. I couldn't place the feeling of familiarity until Dani gasped at the sight of the most menacing one in the back.
"You... why do you look so familiar?" Dani asked the man.
He pushed himself past the group of adults standing in front of us and in front of Cynthia, Netsu, and Ultima. Once he got to the front, the man placed his balled-up fists onto his pant-line, studiously analyzing Dani.
"Is your name Dani?"
"Y-Yes... who are you...?"
I nervously watched as the man got closer and closer to Dani. Not a bone in my body trusted him, but I was left with no other option as he raised his hand to Dani's left shoulder.
Based on the position of his right hand, I noticed that he planned on striking Dani in some sort of dangerous way. He was building up power for an attack.
I stepped in at the absolute last second, catching his fist with my own hand covered in so many Strands that it was unrecognizable, watching his eyes twirl in sincerity when he introduced himself.
"My name is Oberon Slicious, and I am your father," He said.
I took the hit with my hand, but the force of it obliterated the layers of Strands on my hands and cracked my wrist. I pushed Dani back and took the rest of the hit, allowing my ribs to fall under the pressure as well.
Dani was cushioned from the floor by my other Strands, and I panted heavily while looking at Oberon with a tinge of hatred.
"You dare intrude on what I want to do with my own daughter? You disrespectful little shit,"
"There's so many things wrong with that, I'm not even sure where to begin," I told Oberon. I watched the people behind him, healing the wounds placed in my body while they spread out to form a line, with four people on one side of Oberon, and five on the other. Cynthia, Ultima, and Netsu continued to stand behind him.
I was beginning to worry about the identities of the other people around him and began to look at their faces to see if I could recognize anybody within them.

Once Hikari spouted the eight names of the people I didn't know, she happened upon the last one with black hair and red splotches of hair covering her head.
[Novi Eternia - Red's Mother]
I focused on her specifically, watching her dim look turn into a wicked smile.
"It looks like you know at least two of us now," Novi said. Just as Oberon did to the others, she pushed her way to the front of the crowd, which loomed into a circle once Hikari named them for me, and stood with her arms crossed, just like Oberon did.
"At this point, we're well aware that we can't just kill you, Sky Asterio. Killing you is physically impossible, isn't it?"
"That's not far from off, but I hardly would think you want to try that, would you?" I asked Cynthia.
