Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

Sky VS What Remains

--Sky's Perspective--

The attacks came in fiercely. Blades exploded out of Austin's hand, and the combination of The Retriever and that ability mobilized them toward me. I threw the Mahina blade up in the air and charged straight at The Retriever.

The ever-expanding blades on it shot out toward me and were deflected by the shattered White Stone on my left hand. The spark of light blinded Fico, who came from behind me to catch me off, guard. While I deflected the strike with the White Stone, I ducked in cover and dodged to blind her with the flash of light and the large explosion of power. The blades blew up like a grenade and shot out shrapnel everywhere but at me. Cole was able to heal it all back, but both Austin and Cynthia were further damaged.

With the Mahina Blade now falling from the force I threw up with it, and I engaged in close combat with Fico. Her claws were agile and too fast for the human eye. More often than not, they were a blur through reality as I caught them with my saber, and positioned her right under the Mahina Blade. It came down, with the tip of the blade pointing at her arm, and severed it cleanly as she swung.

She didn't have the time to react, and I stuck the saber into her chest. I made the blade of the saber shoot out in all four directions and slashed upward with the Mahina Blade. It turned the saber into the wheel and cut through Fico violently, pushing her into the ground and spurting blood everywhere.

Cynthia was next up, coming at me with a saber like mine. When they collided, she took control of mine and shot out blades from an assortment of angles. Then, from the blades that came out of the saber handle, Austin's blades shot out next and stabbed me in the arm.

"You lose, Asterio!" Austin shouted out. I could feel my body get heavier, and I started to suffocate as I remembered that Amy is also present here... this is her Incarnation...

I immediately stabbed myself in the chest with a golden saber, letting the water pour out while simultaneously healing the wound. It surprised Austin to see my willingness to hurt myself, but it wasn't enough to stop me from killing him.

The veil of red returned to my eyes and my tunnel vision activated. Unwillingly, I was impaled with The Retriever, thrown up into the air, and then body slammed into the ground. My head surged in pain, and I grabbed onto it, counter-weighting the whip that Cole gave to me to throw me around. When I whipped it back, the two motions of whipping from Cole and I met in the middle of The Retriever, and snapped the large, chain-like blade in two, causing his body to be mutilated from the force.

Cynthia put her hand on my arm and I felt it disintegrate into strands, flowing into her body. She dropped all weapons and started to throw punches at me.

I wasn't sure of Cynthia's combat capabilities, but she was an Asterio, and my sister at that. Another Pure Asterio...

She punched with a force hidden by the wind pressure and strength behind her knuckles. Every punch felt like it broke a bone in my body, and she was too quick for me to react.

I suffered thirty punches in three seconds, and the last one that landed on my face launched me up into the air.

Fico's claws on her feet dug into my chest and slammed me into the ground underneath me. For a brief moment, I lost consciousness and bounced one more time as Cole's Mace Head slammed me once more.

Quake was nice enough to let me rest on the ground after the flurry of attacks, and I stumbled, trying to regain myself.

"Let me switch, Sky. Now!" Avie yelled out in my head. Something was weird with her voice... it was like it was echoing now. Shit... I have a concussion, don't I?

"You still have the courage to fight? Even after all of this time?" Cynthia asked me. She almost seemed disheartened as I stood up, recalling the Mahina Blade in my hand, and summoning a golden saber into the opposite.

"You weren't there when Mom fought Providence... she died for us... I'll be damned if I let that sacrifice go to waste," I told her.

The golden saber in my hand started to mix with blue coloring. For the first time in my life, I started to multiply the number of strands not with one type, but with multiple kinds.

White, red, purple, and blue strands started to flow inside the cylindrical blade of the saber. It hurt to hold, as the weight was too much, and the power behind it felt like it was pulling me to my Mindspace.

It interacted with Austin's Blades and rang out a screeching noise before exploding into a mess of string and shrapnel. The Mahina Blade suffered a chip in the blade right by the guard, and some of my fingers fell off of my body as everybody was sent back. The ground shattered underneath the saber, causing a crater to appear out of nowhere, and sink me into the ground.

Water coming from pipes started to flood, and Quake all looked down at me from the ridge of the crater I created. Looking at everybody, I knew deep down that Avie was right. I had to let her loose.

"Are you ready, Avie? I need some time to regenerate..." I told her. I felt her nod in my mind, and her voice echoed again.

"Who are we killing first? May I suggest Fico, and then Cole?" Avie asked me. With an echo in her voice, she sounded much like she did when she piloted my body... I couldn't get over the change.

"We'll kill everybody... if it comes down to it, Cynthia won't be an exception," I told her.
