Ra Side Story (11/13)

After a bit more time it took us to reach the boat, we set off sail and said farewell to Khalil and the other world leaders. Everybody settled down in their own spots, and I finally found time to tell Sky about the mysterious encounter I had with a girl named Aria.

"While I was separated from you, I had a run-in with somebody of exceptional power. She was only eight years old and went by the name 'Aria'. She had power like an Asterio...does that name sound familiar to you?" I asked him.

"Aria? I know nobody by that name...although, I really do like it. Describe her to me."

"She had blonde hair, one green eye, and one blue eye..." I said. Sky froze in place, widening his eyes toward the ocean as he became silent.

"Aria...that was her name..." He muttered. I paused for a moment with him, waiting for an explanation.

"When Eirikr hit me with an attack that sent me through several dimensions, I ended up looking right up at a girl with one blue eye, and one green eye. She had bright blonde hair..." He hesitated, placing his hand over the top of his head.

"And she called me Dad."

I immediately dropped my jaw in surprise as Dani poked up behind Sky's chair. She was surprised at the same level as I was, hearing everything and shooting back in surprise.

"Amazing! Woah...we have a kid! I bet you she gets the blonde hair from me!" Dani called out.

"It's nice to think that there's a world somewhere out there where we have kids. It's also a tease to this world, that Aria may be a part of it as well. And, did you see the other girl? Did she have one purple eye and one red?" Sky followed up with another question I wasn't able to answer.

"No, no other girl. But, she did give me this weapon that works with blood. She called it Altair...I'm not sure about that name, but if it has importance, I guess that's what matters. Either way, I wanted to inform you, because I thought it would help you. If it's not, I'm going to go back to Belle and Shike. This new weapon seems to need a level of control they might have. Maybe it's similar to Belle's?"

"Sounds good Ra," Sky said. He turned to Dani, who was still behind him, and the two started talking about something as I made my way over.

As I went over, Carl and Red were sitting with Shike and Belle. The four were in a conversation of some sort.

"Yeah! That Illya girl was quite dangerous. She fought off twenty people at once. Powerful damn thing! But, it was Sky that helped us win, so we have him to thank. What about The Pinnacle? What was he like?!" Belle asked.

"Oh, the same as you just explained. I guess good-hearted people will always be that, won't they?"

"Ah, most certainly. I wondered about him sometimes, but look at us now. Alive and well." 

The two ended their talk as I sat down next to them, looking at me with the weapon in my hand.

"Hi...um, wow, I didn't expect this to be difficult..." I hesitated, clearing my throat and holding up the weapon.

"So, I can control this staff with my blood...is that weird?"

"Asking us if something is weird is the weirdest thing you can do. We're Asterios and friends of Sky, nothing is really weird anymore." Shike clarified. He made everybody around him laugh, even me. I couldn't help but find what I asked to be ridiculous.

"So, a girl gave me this, and I can do all sorts of things with it. I was thinking, it may be useful to ask Belle or you Shike if you know how to effectively wield such a thing. Can you help me out?" I asked Shike.

"Yeah, absolutely. Let's see, is there anything you know that can help you out now? I don't remember your ability, but you can tie your Strands in with it. I don't even do that though...Belle would be the person to ask." Shike shamefully rubbed his head, looking down into his lap.

"When I use my Ice, I typically have to control where I put it because it's based on everything around me, not the Strands. So, because you have that Ra Beam ability, that I do remember, I can work off of that with you. I don't have anything going on if it wasn't obvious. Would you like to start training on this ship?" Belle asked me.

"Sure! But, is it safe with all of these people around? I also don't want to lose this thing in the ocean. Is there a place we can actually do it?"

"Nah, but it'll make you focus more! Come on! Let's go!" Belle said. She happily jumped out of the chair and dragged me to the top of the ship's deck.
