Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

Mandi VS Amera (1)

-1.06 P.M.-

--Mandi's Perspective--

"I see you as a polite girl with no experience... so tell me, what is it you're doing here," Amera asked me.

"I'm here to fight for my freedom and place within Sky's family. I take it you're here because you were ordered to be?" I asked Amera.

"I guess it depends on your perspective. Yeah, I was ordered to be here. Yet, I still listened because it may have been orders from Orion, but I do it of my own will. We're a big family here, I wonder how long it will take your family to turn into mine." Amera responded.

"I have one question before I end our fight. Tell me about the name Asterio, and why you burned all books with that name in them." I demanded from Amera. She looked surprised.

"Sure! Take this information to your immediate death! That name is forbidden in all cities owned by Orion. That name houses several violent criminals who all contributed to the world's biggest genocide in human history. Or, so the books say." Amera rose her bladed ring and threw it at me.

It took a wide trajectory, floating accurately with the wind as it blew towards me. I noticed a strange device in the middle of her hand... that must've been a magnet or something.

As the ring shot over to me, I slashed at it with my sword and it perfectly bounced back into her hands. It put quite the dent in my sword... yet the ring didn't have any damage to it.

I would immediately lose if this was a battle of attrition. That bladed ring was a lot stronger than my sword. I'd have to think this out.

It was very obvious that Amera needed a lot of room to use that weapon, as she walked away from June. If I ran into a forest, I doubt she would follow, I just need to rotate myself behind her to get close to the forest. That ring would probably be pretty useless with all of those objects around her.

I ran directly for her as she whipped the ring at me once more. I pushed my body to the left as it vertically spun right for my head and it passed right by me. Amera rose the palm of her hand right to my chest and made it very obvious how close the ring was based on how furrowed her eyebrows got. I was analyzing everything while running for her, knowing that she didn't have a weapon to attack with while her ring was coming for me.

Just as her eyebrows furrowed to their brink, I slid straight under the palm of her hand and the bladed ring connected to the magnet she had in the palm of her hand. I took my sword and sliced upwards on the side of her body, cutting clothing, the buckles holding armor to her body, and spewing blood everywhere.

I slid on the ground with the same momentum until the ice disappeared and the snow sufficiently slowed me. With my back to the trees and Amera holding her side, she turned back to look at me. "It's quite saddening that you would give yourself up like that." She told me.

She rose her right hand and I immediately realized what she was talking about. I dodged to the right and just barely got away from a fatal wound from a second bladed ring. It cut through a majority of my right forearm, killing all of the grips I had in my right hand completely by severing the connecting muscle. My right arm was as good as useless now. Regardless, Amera was still pretty weakened.

I don't know what it was about Amera, but Tavian and her almost looked identical. Darker skin, black hair, those piercing brown eyes... were they related or something?

I analyzed anything on her body to be considered an accessory, something she could've kept as a keepsake from Tavian if they were related. Something to remember him by.

Nothing was on her body that was noticeable. She was a terrifying fighter, that's what she had that related to Tavian, besides looks.

Amera rose both of her rings up in a crossed-formation and threw them as hard as I've seen her thrown them yet. They both intertwined paths and crossed frequently, making it a lot harder to dodge them. Regardless, I charged in towards her.

Amera couldn't fight close-range, not without those rings in her hands. I closed the distance and took a swing, but she jumped out of the way with a strange flip I only saw Lia be able to perform. She was flexible too, I had to take note of that.

The rings flew straight into the magnets in her hands and she threw one at me, instead of using both. She was catching on!

I charged in to swing relentlessly at her to figure out her limits on defense. She blocked all sufficiently and threw the ring in her hand at my face. I ducked under it by leaning backward when I realized what she did.

The ring she threw earlier had circled our position and was on its way back. By throwing her second ring at my head, she caught me out of position in time for the first ring to come back and hit me with a fatal strike.

I flipped my body over as I leaned backward and stuck my sword through the open center of the ring. It spun rigorously around my sword in an attempt to escape, but so long as the sword was planted into the ground, the ring couldn't move.

Amera threw her only other ring at my chest, but I barely used my plate mail hiding my stim-shot to deflect it off into another direction. It would come back any time now, I just had to figure out the timing. I had a bad idea.

"You're no joke! You would've made a great fighter under Orion, it's too bad your potential was wasted on that Corrupt Stone." She told me.

"His name is Sky." I clarified for Amera, she rose her palm up to receive the ring. I ducked as soon as she did, and she lowered the positioning of her hand. I messed up!

I threw my body out of the way and the bladed ring scathed my leg, tearing the skin off violently and throwing my blood at Amera. It hurt for a moment but was immediately cured after a moment. It cut cleanly through, meaning the lacerations it gave me were all pain based on my shock. I could still stand on my leg and confidently did so.

Amera seemed to be similar to June in the sense that their eccentric behaviors collided with one another and made them strong. However, when they were split apart, their tunnel vision would be their doom. Amera attacked from afar, while June defended the attacks up close. It was unfortunate compatibility I was about to ruin forever.

I grabbed my stim-shot tightly, running at her one last time as she threw her ring at my chest again.
