"What of it? Who sent you? How do you know my name?" I yelled at the Rubeki and used a fraction of Lucas's power with my Eye of Providence. Of course, that didn't belong to me and I was restricted from accessing it, causing me to fall into Strand Sickness, just as I warned Sky of. I was a lot better at handling it, but the Rubeki in front of me didn't know that.
"Woah, so many questions. Well, let's see. What about you? Who sent you, Miss Ali Asterio?" The Rubeki asked me.
"A friend of mine. What's your name, I need the name of the grave I should spit on after I murder you." I told him. I rose the golden saber straight to his face, but he didn't move.
"So fierce! I'll admit, you're pretty scary with that Black Eye of yours. That's Providence's, isn't it? She scares me too." He said.
"I don't care," I told him, slashing the Golden Saber at his face. I tore a part of his nose off, but he blocked the rest with his great sword. The most disturbing part of him was his nose didn't regenerate back, nor did it disperse into smoke onto the ground. Was this thing human?!
"So rude! Can you believe this?! She wouldn't even let me finish!" He yelled out in anger, but I still couldn't care less. When I used my ability to hit him again in the stomach, his great sword blocked it and absorbed the strands out of my saber. It vanished and I retreated, with strands enhancing my fists, ready for a fight.
I couldn't analyze him when he was playing this safe, but I got everything I needed out of him when he started to throw up blood. Oh yeah, he's human alright.
And he can't take my Golden Strands.
Again, I burst forward with my fist and charged back and he tried to hit me with his great sword. His plan went to waste as I grabbed onto the blade with my fingers and landed a hit that broke every single one of his ribs straight into his chest.
Stuffed with golden strands, I retreated my fist back to my side and kicked his sword out of his wrist, when he threw up more blood onto the ground. The Rubeki around us all paused again and looked at the AI Rubeki slowly crawling toward me.
"So... strong! But... you're only one woman." He said with a smile.
"You three aren't enough to take down this one woman," I told him, catching an arrow mid-flight toward my head and looking at the bowman, who was exactly fifty-one feet and six inches to my left.
I slammed the arrow I caught into the Rubeki's head on the ground and flipped over a mace that was coming for my back. I caught his arm and threw him to the ground, then used my Golden Saber Whirlwind attack to hit the one waiting in the back with two Kamas. He blocked it but coughed up blood as well.
"Hey, War, what's up with this lady?!" The one with the Kamas asked.
My Eye of Providence shut off as I now had every single one in sight, and I examined each one. They all resembled Humanoid Beings, but they had parts of their skeletons showing. I hadn't realized it, but the one in front of me, referred to as 'War', had his right arm as complete bone.
"What's up with her?! She's the Singularity Providence talked about! This is the lady we need to fear!" War threw up more blood on the floor and I gazed upon the others standing far away from me now.
They truly did fear me, which wasn't unfounded, as I'm pretty sure I could kill all of them. However, I wanted information out of them, so I knew how to play stupid.
"Oh, you all seem pretty strong. Just a warning, I don't know how many of you there are, but it won't matter as the people in MTG would wipe you off the face of this continent." I told them.
"There's only four of us, so they'll need to be much more worried because we're a lot stronger than whatever the hell you just said." The one in the back said. Great, his stupidity just revealed how powerful they were with their numbers. These things weren't too smart, I can see.
"So, you all want to die here, I take it?" I asked them, summoning the Golden Sabers at my sides and peering at them as they resonated in brightness against the Rubeki standing around me.
HTG wasn't falling at nearly the same pace anymore, so I had a lot of time here, but I couldn't take too long or waste too much energy. Dammit, I don't know how difficult these idiots would be, but Providence is the top priority. I know why she's doing this. She has millions of these guys, she can tire us out and then come in last and kill us, but if I take out these guys, it'll grab her attention. I know her.
I engaged by using the Whirlwind attack to hit the one in the back. After flipping my body to dodge the arrow and mace, I turned the sabers vertically and cut up the ground. By this time, War was up and trying to strike me while the mace and bow user continued to shoot at me. They were far too slow, and I was far too fast.
Dodging had never been easier while using the Eye of Providence, and I even caused them to hit each other.
"War! Look out!" The bowman shouted out. I turned my head and he dodged, planted his foot on the ground, and swung his sword at me. It obviously didn't hit me, but he was getting frighteningly close now. I repositioned after hitting the Rubeki in the back again and looked at the four of the AI Rubeki staring at me now.
"Why the hell isn't she getting weaker?! Providence didn't warn us about this!" War shouted out.
"It doesn't matter what she told you! It's our job to kill her anyway!" The bowman said with my saber in his chest.
The Golden Strands shot out like a shotgun blast and sent him into the mace user, causing him to cough up blood as well. I knew they couldn't take it, but I wondered why she sent such weak people to me.
