"Just now... what did you say?" Sky asked me, his eyes wide with surprise.
Within the limitless landscape of water flowing and carrying sand from distant beaches, Sky found a moment of silence to think to himself. He looked with a slight squint, looking at the water and then back at me.
"Red is... alive? But, that's impossible, she was eaten right in front of me," Sky muttered. He looked confused and almost betrayed, but he knew I'd never lie to him.
"I know, I was just as surprised as you. Mizu asked Ultima and Novi, and Novi told her that there was another Eternia. Her name, when she called out to you, do you remember that? That was her name she was telling you. Cecelia. Cecelia Eternia." I told him.
Sky scoffed with a slight shake of his head, beginning to smile after he looked down at the two White Stones on his arm.
"I can't believe this... I'm so glad she's okay," Sky said. He was excited, almost too excited to contain his tears.
"We have to get out of here so we can find her. What were you going to say? Is there a way to get out?" I asked Sky next. I kicked my feet around in the water as he thought of what to say next.
"See, that's the thing. We can't, not yet," He vaguely said.
"I'm sure you plan to explain that, right?"
"Yep." Sky replied.
Sky bean his next talk while summoning Iridescent Strands. I helped him practice with them, but never saw them in such a casual way.
"You see, what Cynthia did to me was used her Dimensional Perceiving Eyes to predict whether or not the sealing would work on me. She was really trying to, you should've seen her struggle. The problem with what she was doing is it gave her strategy away. The whole future and whatever she predicted counted on me resisting until the last moment. By giving up, I've messed up her predictable future again."
"It is so confusing how this stuff just comes to you like common knowledge. I promise, nobody else thinks of these things but you. So, you're saying that because you acted sporadically and acted weak, there's a chance you can escape?" I asked him in return.
"Nah, there's not necessarily a chance, but there's an opportunity I'm waiting for. Can you tell what they're doing?" Sky asked.
He led me on a path of thinking, considering every outcome and option for Cynthia and the others to do. They could've trapped him to steal his power away, but they just sealed him. They could've killed him, but they just sealed him... what did they want?
"Obviously keeping you alive for something, but for what?" I asked Sky. I wanted to know what he was thinking, but would've rather had an opportunity to increase my intelligence further.
"For leverage. It's a weird thing. They're all confident in my ability to survive any damage done to me or anything they dare try to throw my way, but they're not confident in me to take down Eirikr. Racks your nerves, doesn't it?" Sky asked me, smiling while looking up.
"Not really, I know who you are. So, they want to use you for leverage against Eirikr? Then why am I here too?" I kicked the water on the floor with a pout, and he smiled.
"Isn't it flattering? It's the gravity you have, I'd assume. Anything to get in his way is deemed dangerous. They want to capture all of the people who can rival his power. With that being said, you can assume where we're going next," Sky said, waiting for me to finish his sentence.
"Yeah. To Faith. With those Iridescent Strands, she probably stands just as even of a chance against him as you do, doesn't she?"
"Absolutely. Maybe even more because all of the lineages in her body. I'm impressed with her growth, but I feel it's the last necessary step for her to be in danger for me to escape. With Oberon running around doing as he pleases, it kind of messes with me to see what he plans to do. Everybody seems to want something different," Sky mentioned to me. I nodded slightly, then looked at him again.
"But, realistically... they aren't really problems, are they? I know right now they are, because we're trapped in whatever this is, but if they didn't have Oberon? Would it be a losing battle?" I asked him.
"No. I could fight with one leg and I would still kill all of them without breaking a sweat. The parents of those of us who woke up on the beach do not have their memories, just like us. Besides Oberon it seems. He remembers, but he feels nothing. I'm not sure if anybody even has their memories at this point. My question is... where did they go? Who received our memories?" Sky asked out loud, rubbing his finger against his chin.
"Wait a minute..." I paused, bringing up a point that seemed to complete his thought. "What would having those memories give somebody? If Cole and the other thing inside of him wanted you for your memories that could've given him the power he wanted, where did the other memories go and for what reason?"
Sky smiled and he finally understood, clapping his hands together.
"That's where they went then. To Faith. That's why she has all of the lineages within her body. She has all of the memories and powers of all clans and bloodlines. That makes so much sense now... no kidding, she'll be more powerful than me now, especially now that I know that," Sky explained to me.
