There wasn't much else that was said by Master Ryuu since he had reached the end of his rant.

So all he did was go into detail about how the little girl's mother was.

It was clear by the way that he said all of this that he had been hurt by the little girl's mother in the past.

It almost seemed as if he had deeply loved her, but her rejection had broken him…

Perhaps that was what had caused all of this in the first place…

But there was nothing that could be done since this had all happened in the past.

It wasn't as if anyone could change the past.

The only thing that could be done was to live in the present and change the future.

Since Master Ryuu and the one named Asura were distracted, we started moving around the room. We were looking for the key to the cage and the remote for the self destruct device that was inside of the little girl.
