'' Holy moly! '' Jerouch facepalmed.

'' Ancient hermit? Core of reality? '' His eyes were opened wide, twinkling in astonishment.

He was sitting on a large rock under a big tree that formed a canopy that shielded him from the scorching sunlight.

He had begun to find his way back for more than a week now, yet he had not gotten to the mouth of the forest.

He counted himself lucky since he didn't encounter any beast throughout his return from the thick part of the forest.

Jerouch didn't know, but the sheer presence of the young man that assaulted him several days ago had made almost all the beasts go into hiding.

It was getting to two weeks, yet, none of them bother to come out. Not only that, his presence had made some beasts pass out while some exploded.

Jerouch wasn't aware of this, hence he could only thank his luck.

Jerouch read the next notification and smirked because, at this moment, another notification was reading.

The level up notifications kept ringing until Jerouch began to feel discomfort then soul-wrenching pain.

'' Argh! '' He clenched his hands. His muscles budged, and thick red blood vessels were visible all over his skin.

He wanted to scream but he couldn't. His body started swelling as though he would burst, which he did.

'' Poosh. ''

His right leg burst and turned into a paste of meat and blood, followed by his left leg.

The system notification popped up but Jerouch was in no condition to see that.

He closed his eyes enduring the excruciating pain with his body that now looked like a puffball.

His body parts were bursting apart, but they were being repaired again, almost at a faster speed.

After about half a day of tearing and repairing, the process eventually stopped giving Jerouch room to catch his breath.

'' Dammit. '' He cursed in a low breath.

He looked pale due to the strain his body just went through and he covered his nose, seeing the gory sight around him.

Jerouch saw the notification and a bright smile appeared on his face which soon turned to a frown.

[Multiple daily quests failed.]

'' The fuck is this system talking about? '' Jerouch's eyes twitched. He breathed in and out and gnashed his teeth.

Indeed, he had missed many daily quests due to one reason or the other, but the system should have understood better, no?

'' Fine. '' Jerouch muttered in defeat.

As soon as the notification popped up, Jerouch felt a newfound strength gush through him.

He looked at his skin and he found it very smooth, tight, and resilient.

His vision too was better, and so were his other senses.

He could see the veins of the leaves from a hundred meters away, and the surrounding mana felt closer.

There was a build-up of power in him begging to let it out which he did.

He punched the rock nearby screaming out his exhaustion and…

The big rock first had cracks forming on it until it exploded turning into dust.

'' Tsk. '' Jerouch clicked his tongue in satisfaction.

Before, he could not directly copy the power of monsters since they had no names, at least for the low rank monsters.

Now, however, he could cross that limitation and even absorb their morphologies.

Jerouch then noticed that the shop tab was no longer greyed, which meant he had access to it now.

The shop tab had two sections. The first section was for storing things while the second section was the shop itself where things were sold.

However, Jerouch's face soon darkened seeing the outrageous prices on the items.
